I would highly advise against visiting this particular Value Pawn. The one just down the road on Blanding, or the other on Normandy are going to be far safer bets.
If you DO go to this Value Pawn, do NOT make the mistakes I made in trusting that the manager will be a good person and hold to her word.
Do not purchase any gaming controllers, likely consoles as well.
If you do, TAKE PICTURES IN THE STORE, hell make sure the employees face is in the photos with a time stamp.
I wanted an Xbox controller, but they had sold the cheaper ones. Having already ubered to this location, I was convinced by the older woman with the long hair and glasses to purchase a gaming controller for $120.
This controller has two small scuffs in the plastic just by the right and left bumpers, but I didn't really care because I just wanted a controller with a working analog stick.
She couldn't test it at the store, and told me that I had 24 hours to return it if there was a problem.
I thanked her, took it home and charged it up, and when I turned it on the left analog was glitched out and had my screen going down to the bottom of the menu incessantly.
I took the controller back the next day and the original woman from the day before was perfectly willing to help me.
But then the blonde manager came in, insisting that she was the one who had taken in that controller and that I had somehow damaged it.
She completely ignored the fact that my problem was with the analog, which has nothing to do with the bumpers.
She ignored her own employee saying she didn't believe I had damaged it and convinced her, well bullied more like, her to take back her statement and agree it was undamaged.
I tried to say fine, keep the controller and my money then because if you're gonna steal from me then you may as well do it brazenly and openly, right????
Well the other lady wound up giving me a slip to use at another value pawn, I left the controller, and at the other Blanding Value Pawn down the road I went and got a PS4 with extra controller and three games for my son's, a ring for my grandma, and great customer service.
Ironically, at the second value pawn, the extra controller was finicky. I brought it back the next day and exchanged it with no issues whatsoever. And the ladies at that location said they've had several complaints about Mrs. Blondey.
So, TLDR, avoid this value pawn like the plague, it only wants to sell you broken things and steal your money and call you a liar.
There's a much better and more trustworthy, personable location about a mile down the road, go there if you value common decency.

I went to the Value Pawn On Blanding today had a great experience the manager Billy, and her team Michelle, Courtney , and Sharon makes the pawn shop atmosphere a vibrant and a feeling that just make you want to come and do business with them. If your need some extra cash I recommend you to definitely come to the pawn shop out of everyone on the Westside.
