Had a very positive experience with TECO gas service today. I called customer service yesterday and explained my concerns about a shut off valve. The fixture looked corroded and rusty. A repair person was dispatched and arrived this morning. He assessed the issue and assured me that it was functional and just needed cleaned up. He wire brushed and painted it at no charge. Pleasantly surprised at the rapid response and service. The technician was polite and knowledgeable. Thank you TECO.

Not sure how they are in business! Absolutely ridiculous (none) communications with them over automated voice messaging. Perhaps the most important unsafe practices regarding is safety. Stay clear of these people.

WORSE COMPANY IN THE WORLD. THEY STATED GOING TO MY HOME TO TURN ON MY GAS AND NO ONE CALLED US BEFORE (AS THEY STATED 30 MIN PIOR) AND NOW WANTS TO CHAGE ME $25 DOLLARS FOR NO SHOW, AND PLUS THEY DO NOT WANT TO SHOW PROOF OF THEIR CALL TO ME. SO FUNNY

This company is the worst!! We moved out of our rental halfway through the month and they turned around and sent us our final bill being more than double what it was last year at this time and we weren’t even living there for half the time. I told them that either they did not read it correctly or there was a leak in which they told me we would have to pay for that too. Customer service is horrible and I will never use this company again. If I could give it less than one star, I would!

I was with them for years they were great ..as soon as I moved out of that house and wanted to stop the service they became v bad and dishonest with transactions.. They made waiting call times about 57 minutes each time..they charged 3 months of service for no reason after I called to discontinue the service and they promised me it will be the last payment every time!!!.. am glad I have Electric in my new house so I don’t need this Gas company anymore..

Not sure how a technician that’s in my driveway can not connect service until next day. Got to be the worst experience with upper management I’ve ever had. Can a new company come in town and put them out of business.

They will give you a four hour window for an appointment and only show up after you call several times after your scheduled appointment.

I worked there. Had high hopes. The issue is first there is way too much testosterone and people axting like children. Then they will blame you when THEY failed to train me. It’s a great way to treat people. Instead of admitting yeah we should have done a better job teaching what our expectations are instead they were out of the office most of the time. And you don’t blame me when you maybe spent 15 total minutes with me. And this is not a negotiation was a good one. Anything else you want to say or is it the narcissist coming out. You had someone who cared and all I wanted was some training. It seemed like y’all needed it too. And to try and mentor someone, you failed. You don’t give someone zero chances. I was never mean or disrespectful and did what was taught if me. I felt like you were Learning as well. I can do CADD, this is simple. It was me trying to understand the process to avoid issues. That’s all. Period. But no one took the time. And I learn fast. Then you have them intimidating me by rolling off questions and moving on to the next one before I can even answer. That’s what a bully does.

I have NEVER experienced a WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE in my life. The absolute worst. I was trying to get a new tankless hot water heater installed. EVERY SINGLE TIME I CALL I AM "transferred" which is shorthand for, I am going to hang up on you. I've spent an hour.. just on today's call. Hung up on three times. This company should be ashamed. Spend some of your money paying and TRAINING the sufficient amount of people. I'll be sticking with electric.SO DISAPPOINTING.

Terrible service -- turned off my service twice leaving no notice as to why... The first time they came and turned it back on and said they had no idea why it was shut off. Service never got transitioned to my name. When I called they finally told me it was a billing issue. They wouldn't turn my service back on the same day though it was not my fault it was turned off. They said I had to take an appointment the next day from 8-12pm... I stayed home the entire morning and of course they never showed up and did not let me know anything. I sit here with a 3 and 8 year old who haven't had a bath in 3 days and there is no end in sight. They could care less about their customers.

Absolutely awful customer service. If you experience a leak, they will happily charge you for all of the gas without any assistance. If you happen to have any options on what gas provider to use, choose one other than TECO/Peoples.

Every time you call you are on hold for over 30 minutes and no one ever picks up so I call again and on hold again without anyone picking up. Horrible customer service experience as a new customer.

My issue is with the contractors they employ to do residential work. On two separate occasions, contractors showed up to my house saying that they need to get into the backyard to disconnect the inactive gas line that runs to our house. They were successful in doing so however, the gas line our house was connected to was not properly capped and we've had an active gas leak ever since. About 2 weeks have gone by and no one ever came back to fix it like they stated they would. Finally, after a rainstorm this past weekend, we discovered a "gas burp" hole in our backyard that we could actually smell gas coming out of. We called TECO on a Sunday (9/17) and someone came out right away to address the issue. He was apologetic and called the office to discover that our house paperwork was never completed and was simply left that way. He told us someone would be here first thing in the morning today (Monday 9/18) and still, no one has showed up or called.
