I know this is a big chain, but the day I went I got ribs.. I'm saddened to say they were very chewy and didn't taste good. If your used to BBQ like your Dad makes it, you won't find it here.

Really good BBQ spot. We had a $50 feed 4 meal. It was a ton of food! It was 2 meals at least. My kids ate well, the service was nice. I was pretty satisfied.

The Sprite was missing the syrup and only had the carbonation,service was below average.I went the night before and received excellent service, The order was not at all what I expected and was completely different from the day before and I ordered the same exact thing but got something completely different

Don't waste your time here. Ribs were dried out and burnt black.Like my ribs to be juicy and able to pull apart? Why serve this. Fries were funky. No flavor, grainy... Cole slaw tasted like cabbage and mayonnaise only. I won't be ordering again. Stay away

Traveled all the way from Nassau County. Ordered the baby back ribs they were hard and burnt. The baked beans were semi warm. It was a waste of time and money. I don't recommend. Don't waste your money.

This is a great establishment but the service from one waitress is piss poor. Every time I say something she has a snarky look or rude response behind it. The gentleman who I presume to be the kitchen manager or GM has a great personality and handled our table very well

Its been a few years since Ive been back to this particular Sonny's. The service has been bad in the past but its been a while and i thought we would give it another try. The food was average, not bad but nothing spectacular. Service however is severely lacking. The servers lack customer service skills, are slow and not at all friendly. They looked like they hated their job and took no effort to hide it. Asked for sweeter for our tea and the server never came back. Food was finally dropped off and i asked again about sweeter and was told they were out. No one checked on us again until we stopped another waitress to get our check. The young lady who brought us our check was friendly & quick. Upon walking out one waitress was complaining right in front of us to another waitress about a low tip she received from her table. Attitude is everything when it comes to customer service.

I think I've been by now to the best and worst Sonny's of FL. I'm scoring based on 2 apps I got from here today. I noticed the egg rolls were a lot smaller than the ones I got at other locations. They were also not that full inside, with barely any coleslaw (menu says "loaded with"). Down in Florida City they were huge and packed in comparison. Also the corn nuggets were empty-ish (more gooey substance than actual corn) and I found a massive nugget mixture (pic) that only dry dough in it. Kind of disgusting, tasted like nothing. Management/service was very nice/attentive and kind enough to supply me with additional egg rolls to walk away happy. Not sure how these franchises work but I wish the product at all Sonny's was uniform so as to manage customers' expectations. This chain should learn from the McDonaldses of America where the quality and quantatity/size does not differ from place to place. I will be back at other locations that are not trying to rip-off their customers :)

I know this is a chain type bbq place and I wish I had done something differently, as in another bbq place. I ordered the two meet meal, brisket and turkey. I also ordered baked beans and fries. I got everything except I was give and ear of corn instead of baked beans. Due to time constraints I just ate the corn which was fine. I've had much better bbq, my own. Brisket was fatty. Turkey was ok but nothing spectacular. I had to drown everything in sauce to get some flavor. I would have rather had steak fries than what was offered. The other part was service was very slow. For one person it seemed like I was there forever.

Been to this one several times when I come to Jacksonville to work never a problem, everything that was suppose to be hot was hot everything that was suppose to be cold was cold.. Only complaint was they were both out of redneck egg rolls AND fried pickles. No problem returning though.
