We took our Kalea girl here after she had a little too much fun at the dog park and ended up with a small stick in her leg. We didn't have an appointment and were able to walk in and get her seen right away Monday morning. Great at explaining costs ahead of time so there were no surprises and even more important they made sure our girl was comfortable and taken care of. Thank you to the entire team at San Marco Animal Hospital!

My 16 year old cat was at the end of her life and we could not have asked for a more Compassionate and caring nurse. They were given quality time to say goodbye and time to grieve with her afterwards. Thank you so much. This meant the world to my granddaughter who was heartbroken. We also received the sweetest card with Mias paw print from the staff❤️?

Nice doctor and staff but way overpriced
One of our cats was very sick and was having unmanageable symptoms of a brain tumor. We decided his quality of life was no longer there and we couldn't wait until our vet opened on Monday. San Marco was open on Saturday. We got there. They gave us an estimate of $620. We were distraught and just accepted. We knew it was time and declined the QOL (Quality Of Life exam). The doctor came in. Put a stethoscope to our cat's chest for exactly ONE second and declared it was time. The process went well and the staff was very kind. We left with an empty carrier and eyes full of tears. This morning, I looked at the receipt. Not only did they charge $280 for the actual euthanasia but they also tacked on a $50 exam fee + $10 waste disposal fee. I can understand the disposal fee but $280? Plus a $50 exam fee? What exam? The entire second he listened to his heart? As for the $280 charge for the private cremation? I can tell you from experience that it's inaccurate. As expensive as home euthanasia is, it would have been cheaper by about $150. Our regular clinic would have charged us $85 for the euthanasia and $115 for the private cremation. Yes. They were nice but $620 nice?

Great experience. Went for a same day visit when my personal vet was unavailable. I'm very thankful for their help. My cat needed stitches in her tail and they performed a great job.

I took my cat in for an emergency over the weekend and couldn't be happier with Dr. Gutta and his staff. They were all competent, kind, and compassionate and helped us through a very difficult time. The tech was amazing with our very scared cat and the receptionist was comforting and checked in the next day to make sure our cat was feeling better and we didn't have any other concerns. I would 100% recommend this clinic to anyone in need of a vet for their precious pets.

This was my first visit to San Marco Animal Hospital. I live in Middleburg, Florida and my vet hospital is Orange Park Animal Hospital. On Wednesday, my 14 year old yorkipoo had a cyst that ruptured and became infected. I took him immediately to our vet, but he wasn't there due to a family emergency. The staff called their "sister" hospital in San Marco where Auggie's intensive wellness care plan would be honored. I was a nervous wreck, driving that distance with my sick furbaby, but when I got there Ms. Shay was so kind and took us right in. Dr. Raj immediately diagnosed Auggie with a ruptured infected cyst that he surgically removed and drained all of the infection out. He is now on an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medication and doing well. The care we received there was phenomenal and will never be forgotten. I am forever grateful for San Marco Animal Hospital and these two professional individuals. Thank you

I have used this vet for 3.5 years. They are attentive, kind, and no frills. They don’t upsell you and they provide great care.

Very professional and caring attitude toward both pet and owner. Very happy to called during an emergency and glad to know they would see him immediately without appointments. Open until late every day too.

My cat gets vet good care here. They take appointments as well as walk-ins. They're cat wranglers.

We usually bring our pets to a low-cost clinic for routine vaccinations, but when our cat got sick last month, and they were not able to see him for over a month out, we called San Marco Animal Hospital, and they were able to see him the very next day.Although there was nothing to be done to save our kitty and we had to say goodbye to him, the staff at San Marco Animal Hospital were nothing but caring and compassionate. They gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye, even though it was near the end of their day.Thank you to everyone there for making what was one of our worst days as comforting as it could be.

Dr Gutta is terrific! His staff was able to calm my elderly chihuahua and the dental work they did was amazing. Both of my elderly chihuahuas were well cared for and Dr Gutta explained the procedure to me prior to surgery. My girls are so much happier now. Thank you!!

I have been using San Marco for several years now. Im a local breeder and San Marco has went above and beyond treating my adults as well as our puppies. Dr Raj and his staff have given nothing but exceptional care for our dogs. Their prices are affordable, and they always can get the pups right in for an appointment. I highly recommend this practice to anyone needing healthcare for their animal. Thank you San Marco for always being there when I need y’all. much love ❤️

Could not ask for a better vet. I have been taking my dog, Megabyte here for a couple years now and am a member of their wellness plan which is a huge benefit. The staff truly care about the pets they take care of. I’ve had no issues getting same day or next day appointments, they remember each and every pet that comes in regularly, and they really treat each pet as their own. From the people at the front desk, to the techs, to the vets, I’ve had an absolutely fantastic experience with each of them. Megabyte started having seizures last year, and I really don’t think this process would’ve been nearly as easy as it’s been with San Marco! ❤️

Three of our beloved dogs were faithful patients of Dr Gutta for much more than a decade. We were huge fans and trusted our dogs -who were like family to us - to Dr Gutta. While Dr Gutta is indeed a very skilled vet, his clinic has changed. There is such a tremendous concentration on money that it is disturbing. Its all about the bottom line. We've spent 10s and 10s of thousands. Our precious Lucy was diagnosed with complete kidney failure last month after the office failed to communicate the severity of her illness in June despite numerous calls we never received the bad news that they knew from $1,500 in blood tests. The day we were recently told we had to put her down, I was so understandably shocked and upset and leave her there for an IV to give her some comfort and give me time to inform our family. I was immediately asked 4 times for money and signatures while in tears even though I was coming back at 4:00 and have paid them thousands of dollars every year. Startlingly cold and unfeeling behavior. To make matters as bad as they could be, last night I received a chilling text, reminding me that Lucy - who was put down in this office 3 weeks ago among 5 sobbing adults- required an appointment for a follow up. Unforgivable! Hurtful. Dr. Gutta's current staff is uncaring and unfeeling. The prices are too high but we were willing to pay for good care but sadly for Lucy, that was not good enough. Now, I feel even more sad and very guilty.
