This place is the best. Madison was so helpful and extremely knowledgeable about their stock. Her guidance made me feel comfortable in what I was doing because in the beginning I was very overwhelmed. I will only go there from now on to purchase lights, mirrors, and fans.

When purchasing know that they are just a showroom and it could take two weeks to get your order. I had to follow up three times and the final call I was told “it was low on stock when ordered and we’re still waiting on more.” This was never communicated to us at time of purchase and we wasted over two weeks with no product. Cancelled the order, went to Wayfair and found similar fixture for less money, free shipping, and delivery in two days. It’s not surprising local companies are going out of business because the online stores do it better.

I stopped by today looking for pendants for my kitchen island. Madison was so helpful and I was so happy to find the perfect lights. Customer service was fantastic. I can’t wait to visit at the new location. I highly suggest stopping here for any of your lighting needs.

I had an epic customer service experience at River City Lighting today. I purchased the perfect Henckley exterior pendant light. Gertrude was knowledgeable and showed care and concern about my purchase. I purchased fans here 20 years ago when we built our home and they are kust as friendly today.

Oct. 2021 - Adding to my previous review. This is our third purchase and again 100% satisfied. Love our new foyer fixture, lanai fan, and flush mount LED ceiling spot lights. Great service and prices. Thanks.Tracy, thanks so much for the wonderful selection of fans and great pricing. Looking forward to working with you again. Since it won't allow me to write another review, just wanted to say thanks for the beautiful dining room fixture, (we still need a few lightbulbs) and a job well done. It's a pleasure dealing with River City Lighting and the Fan Man. Here's to the next fixture.

Was very pleased with my experience at River City Lighting. We had just arrived from a nearby showroom which I have no complaints about, but was extremely pleased with the service at River City Lighting. The salesman was very upfront about costs and felt no offense if I wanted to compare prices with online pricing. There was no hard sale or pressure to buy, but in the end we did. They were even nice enough to throw in a small dinosaur desk lamp that my 2 year old son was loving to look at. So overall, friendly and helpful service and would go back again.Edit: Would also like to add that at first glance their selection may seem a bit overwhelming, its actually quite nice and many modern pieces. Also, one of the pieces we got was not in stock and their turnaround time was much faster compared to the fans I was considering at another place.

Original review (update below):Ordered a $500 patio fan on October 17th and was quoted a week or so for delivery. After a week, it was a "couple more days", after two weeks it was "on the next shipment but was delayed by storms", after three weeks it is now backordered and they have no clue when or if it is being shipped.What's worse, I had an electrician doing some other work for me last week and was willing to install the fan for free. Now I need to pay for another trip since the fan never came in.Update 1/4/21: After my review Tracy reached out to me. He offered to install the fan when it arrived at no charge, but added they had no idea when it would come in. It is now January 4th, nearly 3 months later, and the latest update is now February 5th (but again no promises). I've asked if there were any other options and Tracy indicated there wasn't. In the hopes of having a fan by spring, I requested he cancel the order and refund my card.Update 1/5: Tracy reached back out because my fan randomly arrived at the store. I did want the fan so we arranged him to come by and install it. I've updated my review to what I believe a fair score is. I think that Tracy cares about what he does, and I believe he did his best to get my fan. I docked one star for the initial claims it was on its way back in October and another for how long the $500 sat on my credit card with no product. After all is said and done, I would go back to buy from here again, but I would keep a close eye on how long things are taking.

Tracy and the team at River City Lighting have a great selection - much better than the big box stores. And, better prices than buying online. I purchased all the lights in my home from River City and recommend them to all clients who are looking to update their light fixtures.

I have ordered ceiling fan/light combinations that were perfect for style, color, and function...and recently had a foyer light and dining chandelier installed. The lighting selections allowed me to make perfect choice for my house. Tracy, the owner/manager, was wonderfully helpful, knowledgeable, and personable. The prices of lighting were/are much more reasonable than competitors I checked, and Tracy is quick to adjust a "tag" price to the fair/lower price he will declare. He did the installations himself with great care and efficiency, asking me frequently about a "look" or a need, and informing me of the specifications and "output" of each light (and the two fan/light pieces, previously). He also completed installations within just a few days of my purchases. The store is surprisingly pleasant (and "populated"), given the modest size: it holds many (!) styles and selections, and more possibilities from catalogs that Tracy quickly references, if needed. I would and will highly recommend River City Lighting for anyone's lighting needs.
