Wow!!! And not Wow in a good way, wow in what a disaster. I am not even sure how this bank stays afloat with the subpar services provided and subpar customer service along with the fee-you-to-death stance. I figured I would try out a new bank and Regions offered $400.00 dollars to open an account. Well I can see why now. Thats probably the only way they can get someone to do it. From the minute I tried online setting up and got a "you need to come to a branch error" I knew this wasnt going to be a easy ride. I visit a branch, I feel like I am entering either a Bodega on NY lower east side with all the plexi glass or a title loan place in a shady part of town. Who still have bullet proof glass in their banks? Hire a uniformed guard for a whole lot nicer atmosphere. Gertrude (not her real name) seems to be the go-to there. After she finishes a customer in line and than takes out the trash and does the dishes she helps me finish my setup. She is nice as she goes in to detail about this fee, that fee, the other fee, the fee for the fee, the fee that gets added to the fee if the fee isnt paid and the fee's fee just to obtain the other fee. Im like oh well, im invested now. I could have earned my $400.00 a lot easier but I have to follow through. I expect them to hand me a debit card. Nope. You have to wait for that. All other banks have a printer but I guess with Regions having to buy all their bullet proof glass they couldnt afford one. Gertrude goes in to tell me to use their ATM because I will pay a fee at any other ATM other than theirs. I say oh yeah I know the ATM owners charge and she says NO Regions charges as well. I said well what financial network are you on and she says none. So no card, crap ton of fees, fees just to obtain my money, etc. Even at this point I figured well since I cant get my money out without having to suit up in riot gear and enter the branch while admiring the beauty of the 1980's plexiglass my money will be saved because who wants to go through all that to get it or pay to get their own money. I deposit a check and guess what, they put a 8 day hold on it. A 5K check. From a well known bank (Vystar) and 8 day hold. So no money, crap ton of fees, longest hold in banking history, bomb shelter branches, gertude that is the teller, cleaning lady, bullet proof glass polisher, account opener, fee explainer I cant get my money for 8 days. Run, run as far as you can.

My friend and l are both long time members of Vystar Credit Union. My friend needed a HELOC loan and asked for my help with this process due to my banking background. I contacted Vystar and advised them that my friend needed an immediate HELOC loan and that l was looking for basic information. The following week my friend drove to Vystar and no one helped him. He was told to call the mortgage department. It took several days for him to get a response. When a Vystar rep finally contacted him he was told the process would take 35 -45 days and the closing costs would be close to 9% costing $1136.00 just to close. I started researching and found Regis Bank on Atlantic Blvd. I called to get basic information and the Branch Manager, James Joyner answered every question that l had. I didn't think this experience could get any better until we drove to Regis and met James. I didn't know this level of client support still existed. James was welcoming, professional, attentive and honest. James informed my friend that he was approved the same day he applied for the loan, there would be no closing cost and even followed up the next day. James Joyner is an asset to this organization. I am in the process of looking for my first home. Based on our experience at Regis l can't imagine enabling anyone other than James or his team to handle this. I highly recommend James, his team and this location.

This has to be one of the worst banks I have ever dealt with. I went to the atm. At there bank. My husband has an account with them unfortunately. Went inside to break a 20 into two 5s and a 10. Couldn't do it. How? Why? Not to mention what they did to me last year with forcing me to get a prepaid card. ( btw i was not supposed to get a prepaid card because i didnt have a residential address they knew that and forced me anyway)I would not recommend this bank to anyone no matter what.

Be aware if you're sending money through Western Union at this bank you're required to give a social security number and ID for them to make you an account profile before they will allow you to send money Western Union. Save yourself the hassle and go to Publix where they don't require all this personal information. Life lesson... When this type of information is required they normally sell your personal information to 3rd parties. The branch Manager was very professional to say the least.

My 4-yr old tore a crisp $100 bill into 4 pieces, Regions Bank exchanged it without hesitation. VyStar would not (told me to go to the Federal Reserve)

The bank teller Loretta . was completely judged mental of who she help regarding opening a bank account. If I knew I was going to experience this I would have save my money at home. Hopefully the bank can look into this situation. Regarding customer service because it got worse.

Came in today (a Saturday) with a couple of unusual needs, involving rolled coins and a 33 year old savings bond. The line moved quickly, and accommodated my request right at the window quickly and with a friendly attitude. A stellar experience from beginning to end. Shoutout to Dorothy Walker for her help - she exceeded my expectations greatly.
