Today I brought our cat in for her annual checkup and shots/license. Tigger is an American Bob Tail who was a feral cat rescued as a kitten by our son and granddaughter. He has been with us for about 4 years. He is doing great and the care of this office is very important to his health. Dr. Gennetteis great with him has always been great weather it is checkups or emergency visits. Also today her two techs, Kendall and Ari were very patient and compassionate towards Tigger. This service is the norm demonstrated at this clinic. Amber and the others at the front desk are outstanding and second to no other receptionist groups around. As a retired Marine Corps Officer I both appreciate and can identify competence and professionalism which are both evident in this clinic. I enthusiastically recommend Pablo River Veterinary to anyone looking for a Vet. Semper Fi Stan Jones

Called to make an emergency appointment for my cat as she hadn’t been eating for a few days and they accommodated and were transparent with the emergency fee because they had no open appointments. Dr. B is probably the most caring Veterinarian I have ever met in Jacksonville. He took his time to thoroughly examine our cat and explain everything. He went through our options and didn’t push any unnecessary treatments like many others do. Prices are affordable as well. I’m so glad my usual vet was closed and that I discovered this place. Will be having my pet’s records transferred over because of my experience here!

This "fear free" practice expects you to give your dog sedatives for everything, even a basic nail trim and will refuse you service if the dog isn't practically sleeping. To make things worse they don't even tell you a proper dosage 1/2 to 1-1/2, just see what happens. To quote Dr. Gilbert, "I want him to look like he's a little drunk." This is an absolutely abhorrent way of dealing with animals.

Hi my name is Lisa and I've had my 15 yo Yorkie "Lolo." since birth my Lolo is like family. We live in Jacksonville, Florida; she has been my companion and Emotional Support dog for 15 years and she's all I have, no family out here.Lolo loves the outdoors, sometimes just siting looking at her beautiful surroundings is enough for her. She especially loves music, Luv, Luvs eating and going for rides; she wants to go every where I go but there were limits and couldn't at times. Then she stop enjoying all these things she use to do in a very short time,Lolo was recently diagnosed with Kidney Disease 1st stage and just found out she has a heart murmur it went from at grade 2 to grade 4 out of 6 in 3 months Pablo River Vets failed to inform me of this heart murmur and only focused on one illness the kidney Disease (which Dr. Gennette carelessly gave me a recipe for Lolo that incleded hot sauce) they didn't think it was important enough for me to know about the heart murmur. This experience of negligence was my worse night mare carried out by Pablo River Vets; Dr. Gennette was too busy to care...it was about constant upcharging me for a Dr. that can never return my phone calls...I paid $253 for a Sr. Blood panel...to get shorted; she didn't explain the rest of the blood work panel breakdowns.Upon getting this diagnosis of the heart murmur from another Vet, i called PR back to get her medication changed; another Dr. took my dog off her medication for a day which turned into 3 days...i kept calling and got no call back, i got the receptionist...i told her the Dr. Gennette never called me back to change her medication which at the consult Dr. Gennette stated Lolo had several options of meds if current did not agree with her. (I have it in her email) the receptionist said; She probably wont give you anything else.(Sounds like discussions were had regard my dog) but why was the receptionist telling me this???My phone calls went unanswered, only by email, no face to face or phone calls regarding the urgency of my panicI took Lolo to the park for our doggy date she hadn't been out for a while; she was so glad to be outside she started running, sniffing, finding her happy place. She wanted to walk the whole park, When we came home I noticed her breathing pattern had changed and had gotten more aggressive, It was really scary. When I made an appointment for Lolo to another Vet within 3 months He informed me Lolo's heart murmur shot up to a grade 4 out of 6. I have been so upset.I was pretty much devastated.Everytime my dog starts her heavy abnormal aggressive breathing the pit in my stomach sinks. She jumps up in the middle of the night trying to adjust her breathing; with anxiety... its overwhelming and frightening, she just grabs my arm, lays, twist and turns until she adjust in my arms or on my chest. This is the worst feeling ever.In order to get the care Lolo needs to stabilize she needs:Radiology 3 views Echocardiogram and Consult Physical exam by the Cardiologist Radiology of Thorax up to 3 viewsDigital imagesMedicationI want my money back from PR.This would not have happened if I knew how to handle the heart murmur, what and what not to do??? BY these so called professioal people. Or was it because I am a Sr. Woman of color on a limited budget that made the mistake of going to a clinic that was all about draining you pocket and practicing on your dog....this shows they clearly didnt care to get personal enough to make you feel comfortable and at least go over a breakdown you paid over $200 for and give you all the information you need to know about in keeping your pet in a heathy state...instead keep you coming back with absorbant prices pretending you"re in good hands. My dog is now struggling to stay alive...

Professional, very friendly and helpful! 5 out of 5 stars.I was very nervous because I had a trip planned with my 75 lbs GoldenDoodle to Colombia and a form (endorsed by the USDA) was required to enter the country. They have never done any forms for Colombia before but took their time to research and make sure all the paperwork was correct. I arrived in Colombia and all the paperwork was perfect and had ZERO issues to enter the country with my dog. I really recommend them if you need any paperwork to travel with your dog.THANK YOU!!
