It’s like the classic 6th grade field trip museum. Variety of exhibits, some neat, some not so. Little bit confusing and packed on the inside. Really not a super very interesting place as an adult.

It's a very small museum and planetarium. Takes maybe 90 minutes or two hours to see everything. Could use some freshening up. Price should be lowered a little bit based on that. Probably would not visit again. Did have some cool dinosaur animatronics, though!

Terrible human beings operate this property. Inhumane people.

Overpriced and extremely underwhelming. I grew up in the area and visit MOSH as a kid, back then it was so fun and the exhibits were awesome. They’ve since gotten rid of all the exhibits that actually made it worth going to. We paid $110 for my and my husband and four kids, I won’t ever go back, not for that price. The dinosaurs were decently cool which is the only reason I’m giving an extra star. Otherwise it’s a rip off.

Great time for my little homeschool family. Just renewed our membership with Natalie. She was very helpful and informative. It's exciting for my membership to work for so many other locations in the country! The gift that keeps on giving. Going to orlando science center with my membership next!

Many of the interactive exhibits do not work. Jea room didn’t work, touch tank closed, 3rd floor closed, outside exhibit closed! It’s very small if you plan to go to the planetarium as we did you only need an hour beforehand to make it through the entire place. Disappointed our 6 year old granddaughter went through the entire place in about an hour and we had to walk around relooking for another hour until the planetarium show began. For $25 admission per person I was expecting a lot more offered. Definitely won’t waste the money again unless they do a complete revamp

This was a disappointment. I have gone to other science centers in other states and this was such a let down compared. It was overpriced for what you got in return. Based on my research online and then going to buy our tickets in person it was not made clear enough that everything wasn’t included. We only found out after talking to a couple we met inside that informed us. I talked to other parents and they felt the same, that the pricing was confusing and the al la carte just cheapened the experience. There was one family that waited in line the longest to enter the planetarium to only be turned away because, again it was not made clear you had to pay EXTRA to go to a planetarium show, the one cool attraction the museum offers. On the topic of the planetarium it was so blurry and the story line was hard to follow. Felt like a video from the 90s. What you got for a basic regular ticket was not impressive. I enjoy supporting my community and if this was as impressive and my kids really loved it I would have gotten a membership for my family, but don’t for see any of us desiring to spend more time or money here. For reference I have a 5, 4 and 2 year old. The older kids love space, dinosaurs and weather so I thought this would be more interactive learning. They did have a hurricane simulator that my son was so excited about but had to pay an additional $3 for him to try it out ?. Everything else was mostly a look and read. The arctic dinosaur exhibit they having going on now was very enjoyable for all of us, but that was the only redeeming part that was included with the basic ticket price. The restrooms were pretty clean too so that’s a plus. I hate writing negative reviews but I think they can be important and helpful to other people considering a visit.

The Museum of Science & History (MOSH) in Jacksonville, Florida, offers visitors a unique and immersive experience that combines science, history, and technology in a way that is both educational and entertaining. One of the museum's most popular exhibits is the Dinosaur exhibit, which takes visitors on a journey back in time to the prehistoric era when these magnificent creatures roamed the earth.
As you enter the Dinosaur exhibit at MOSH, you are immediately transported to a world filled with towering skeletons, lifelike replicas, and interactive displays that bring the ancient creatures to life. The exhibit features a variety of dinosaur species, from the massive Tyrannosaurus Rex to the gentle Brachiosaurus, allowing visitors to learn about the different types of dinosaurs that once inhabited our planet.
One of the highlights of the Dinosaur exhibit is the channel experience, where visitors can watch a documentary-style video that explores the history of dinosaurs, their behavior, and their eventual extinction. The video is both informative and engaging, providing a deeper understanding of these fascinating creatures and the world they lived in.
In addition to the channel experience, the Dinosaur exhibit at MOSH also features hands-on activities and interactive displays that allow visitors to engage with the material in a fun and educational way. From digging for fossils to examining dinosaur bones up close, there are plenty of opportunities for visitors of all ages to learn and explore.
Overall, the Dinosaur exhibit at MOSH is a must-see for anyone with an interest in science, history, or dinosaurs. The combination of informative displays, interactive activities, and engaging videos makes it a truly immersive experience that is sure to captivate visitors of all ages. So next time you find yourself in Jacksonville, be sure to visit MOSH and take a trip back in time to the world of the dinosaurs.

Some very cool displays and loved the volunteers that were there to talk about the exhibits to the few people who were there, they really engaged both myself and my kids. But the place was shockingly empty and security was apparently bored and willing to make visitors uncomfortable. Walking past us twice, in a dead end room, blocking the screen where we watched the video of how the wooden circus was set-up and thereby blocking the screen? Not necessary. But it kept happening! Like seriously, hang out and talk or watch from somewhere that doesn't put you actively in our way. You know the layout. It is easy to not stand actually in the way. Was it for fun? To see if we would say something cause you work there and are in uniform? Well bugger off, you need more visitors not less. More people = more interesting job.

The dinosaur exhibit will leave your child in awe. They have lots of hands-on activities for the kiddos and the gift shop is very affordable.

The museum doesn’t open until noon on Sundays, which is kind of late and they didn’t open the doors until EXACTLY noon, which was a little annoying. Our group had an 11 yo and the youngest kiddo was 2 with a couple in between. None of the exhibits really captured anyone’s attention. It was especially not fun for the youngest 2, not a lot to see or touch. On a more annoying note they still have water fountains that are “out of order”. I could be wrong but my guess is these fountains have been out of order since March 2020. I hate that kind of stuff, it’s completely unreasonable at this point and very inconvenient because children and people in general need water.
Overall the building itself seems old and fairly run down with lack luster activities. We only stayed for 1.5 hours, which isn’t common for us most places hold our kid’s attentions for hours. Online there were lots of dinosaur exhibit pictures, we couldn’t find it, I think they have moved on to a space themed room. I do think it could be more interesting for older kids (reading and up) like 8+. As someone who has been to many kids museums it just didn’t stand out, and we won’t go back. Thankfully we had reciprocity with another museum so I didn’t feel like I paid for too much. There are several extra optional shows, ($5.99 a person). Like I said we frequently go to children’s museums and they are fun, but I don’t think I’d ever pay extra for any of the shows we have seen.
If you have reciprocity with another museum, there is a chance to go for less/free or you have older kids who enjoy reading I would recommend it. It wasn’t bad, but it was disappointing for our family.
