They make it very easy to come out and volunteer. They are very welcoming, patient, and friendly. A great experience if you are looking for ways to help your community.

I'd like to be able to give this place a 5-star rating but with the unprofessional demeanors I experienced I'm sad to say that I can't. I'm not one who complains readily. My patience is great however it does have a limit. First off I have to say that I'm sure efforts were put forth. My therapist was awesome. He listened intently about the issues I had with LSS and CAN Community Health Center. He was compassionate and I enjoyed him. I wish I could have had a better experience getting an Uber to my appointments but that problem still persists so I dropped out. My case manager as lovely as she is finds it difficult to understand why I place my confidence in her, especially in a case where I was being threatened and physically assaulted by my landlord. She couldn't understand I wasn't asking her to get involved for any mediation or anything I just needed someone to know what was going on. She messaged back she would have to block my number if I messaged her again. Compassion no, confusion maybe, but an ounce of empathy goes a long way when someone is in danger. Yes the police were called. Three times. I can take out a restraining order or injunction as it's termed but it's Veterans Day and government offices are closed. Monday is the earliest and it's three days away. I would have hoped for a different response. I asked her to drop me off the client list. The staff at LSS are unprofessional at best. They seem to have a lax attitude and nothing is urgent. One of them made an unusual comment which I believe was directed at my partner. I won't repeat it. It was just very odd and I was in somewhat amazement of the audacity it presented. I kept my mouth shut in order to evaluate the circumstances. When I came to a conclusion I wish I had retorted. It was well out of the professional spectrum. It was just a few things that irked me about the operation but it was enough to make a decision of dropping both LSS and CAN. The partnership is disorganized and uncommunicative. The case load is either too heavy for both to handle or just a lazy and seemingly uncaring environment. The attitude amongst some the staff is unacceptable. There are staff members who are definitely admirable however too many I dealt with that have standards that they definitely need to work on. A sensitivity course is something I highly recommend. There's nothing worse than trying to navigate the system with less than qualified support. Compassion is not they're specialty and for this type of position it is imperative. I have taken into consideration all of the aspects of my services there in order to come up with what I believe to be a fair and unbiased opinion. I also had to be honest. I am certain I've met my goals. They get a C+ to B- in my book. My apologies but that's how I see it and I'm being totally generous with my views.

I want to give special mention to Beatriz. She is so good and knowledgeable at her work there. Giving assistance and help to refugees, explaining always how it is the complete process for you as entrance refugee in US. I just give 5 stars for these reason. Thanks to Beatriz I have been able to receive all my benefits and understand every step I should follow as new refugee in US. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't have done anything. Thanks a million of times to this woman. ?

I am impressed with the organization of the experience dedicated people. They are truly there voluntarily to help people in need. They have a great way of giving appointments online in advance. Instructions to get a ticket for an appointment is very simple and save your alot of time. I also give you exact instructions on where you were to go exactly where they are located in the regency square Mall. I highly recommend visiting and meeting these lovely people.
