I had an appointment with the stylist Shirley on November 26th at 2:30 pm. She was supposed to do a color on my hair, but she didn't finish by closing time. I paid for a service that I didn't get. The color is uneven, and I'm not sure if it's her fault or not. Shirley should have asked me to come back the next day or set up another appointment to finish the job.The front desk receptionist kept staring at us because we weren't done by 6 pm. The store managers kept coming by to ask how long Shirley would take, which made me uncomfortable as I was getting a service, and they were rushing her. It affects my hair, and I left at 7:30 pm with my hair wet in the rain. I hope I don't get sick. They gave me a JCPenny towel to help, but it was still the worst experience I have ever had.

I came to this location on Labor Day after having a consultation done in my hair to have a perm done. I was quoted $200 - give or take maybe $20 depending if they needed to do anything extra. I booked my appointment and came back and saw Linda. I told her I was quoted $200, she told me the lady who quoted me (Melinda) doesn’t know how to do perms and didn’t know why she gave me a quote. - but never told me a different price. When I paid the manager told me it was $423!! I told her what I was quoted and she said she couldn’t do anything about it. Not only that… Linda told me that she does perms all the time and they last “three years”. Not sure how that’s possible. I get home; waiting the 72 hours to wash my hair. I washed my hair with the shampoo Linda told me to buy. My hair was NOT curly. Only wavy at best. I used my diffuser, I used the curling cream she told me to buy, I got mousse and gel. I tried to style my hair to achieve the curly look I was looking for. It never happened. I called the manager and she told me I had to use products in my hair for it to look good. - I’ve had my hair permed in the past and have had to use minimal products to achieve the look I was looking for. Furthermore; when I got my hair permed by Linda I hadn’t put any chemicals in my hair for over 10 years. So it was super healthy. Now I have chunks of my hair that is broken off and sticking out at the root and throughout my hair is visibly fried and my hair feels gross. The customer service here is horrible. And they DESTROYED my hair. Linda says she’s been doing perms for a long time. But if that was true my results would have been better and my hair wouldn’t be destroyed. She damaged my hair so bad that there is no way for me to fix it and I have to wait until it grows out. I went in excited and ready for a fresh look, I came out feeling ugly and wanting to hide because my hair is embarrassing. Avoid this place at all costs!! Save yourself the money and embarrassment. Oh! Linda also cut my hair after she permed it and it looks like a 5 year old cut my hair, it’s so choppy!UPDATE: I went to another salon and they looked at my hair to see if there was anything I could do to salvage it. Unfortunately I have to do hair treatments and wait for it to grow out. They also showed me the cut that Linda did on my hair. I asked her for layers… she did shelf layers on just the sides of my head and didn’t cut anything in the middle / back of my head. It’s unbelievable she is still employeed as a hair dresser anywhere. I’ve never in my life had such a horrible job done on my hair. This lady is horrible. And completely unskilled. My 5 year old niece could have done a better job than her.

I get my hair cut here and I have always loved the results. I recently brought my kids here and they did a great job with them also. You do have to make sure you tell them what services you don't want...if you want an express cut (which doesn't include a blow dry) and don't specifically tell the stylist that you DON'T want a blow dry, they will just start blow drying without asking and then charge you for it.

Dawn circled a review on my receipt but having a child..of course I lost it but dawn was the best receptionist and referral that I've had!! Only reason I went there! Great place to be!!!! She helped me pick out the hair products I needed for me and cared about my postpartum hair issues. She really cared about my worries without being judgemental.

Texturizer for my granddaughter's hair, how awful the girl that was supposed to do her hair, did not no how to do a Texturizer. Instead she was doing a wash and set. She was rude, the manager's where rude, and the employee's at the front desk were also. I complained but, no one cared she tried to explain to me a black women what the difference was between a texturizer and, a relaxer as if I did not no REALLY LITTLE GIRL. The lying manager Angie also took up for her please don't go there times have changed they where at one time a good Salon but, the stylist don't no what they are doing after three hours my granddaughter still did not get her hair done. Girl was on the phone while doing her hair very unprofessional DO'NOT GO TO THIS SALON. AWFUL MANAGEMENT, AND STYLIST.

Sale! Sale! Sale! JC Penneys end of the summer sale. Here I go right to the clearance rack. I loved to shop on line but the selections always have to be shipped to my house. Can anybody say pick up or curbside. I have been shopping Penneys for many years for birthdays, anniversaries.and for my grands. I am never disappointed. However, I have yet to get a JC Penneys card. I do not want one or need one. I miss out on the extra savings. It is a pleasant experience to shop in the store. Later in the evening the better. I went shopping on a Monday evening. I am in awe. No lines. No fighting..JC Penney tranquility with me, the register and the sale associate ummmmm!

I moved, updated my account info via JCP online account services and checked them off the list of all businesses I use. Placed an order 3 mo later for birthday gift. Received confirmation email with old address on invoice. I called immediately and informed them that I had already updated this and was assured no problems with shipping. A few days later, I receive notice that items were delivered to old address. I contacted them multiple times to be advised that I needed to contact the couriers and get packages resent to correct address. I also received notice that one of the orders was running late and not yet sent. After multiple contacts and attempts to update information, their website is still listing my old phone number and sent the latest order again to the wrong address and they will not take any action to assist with problems that were due to their own errors. I won't be shopping here anymore after years of being a loyal customer. Their service has gone down exponentially and it feels terrible knowing they were once such a great company.

Worse hair cut ever!! DO NOT GOO!!!! STAY AWAY.I went to get a cut and ombré or Balayage the “master” claimed that she cannot do it because my hair will turn orange and will not do it!The experience was terrible, she was arguing with another stylist about a clip while washing my hair and the whole time I was NERVOUS.I told her that I will just get a Trim and that is fine.I did not realized the cut was SOOO BAD until i went to another stylist TODAY that achieved a PERFECT COLOR BALAYAGE AND FIXED THE TERRIBLE CUT!!!!!!!! OMG I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS.THE DAMAGE WAS SO BAD PLEASE AVOID, I WILL ADD A PICTURE BELOW.please DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE . the Trim COST 100!!!!!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!! the receptionist and " MASTER" were trying to be friendly to COVER THE DAMAGE THAT SHE DID.I did not notice this at ALL . Janis did a wonderful facial on me. Left with my skin glowing and face polished. Also did a fabulous shampoo and blow dry on me as well. Hair is beautiful and bouncy and gives a killer shampoo…strong hands!

Customer neglect is the operating standard at JCPenney based on my Feb 2022 experience. The retailer refused to issue me a full refund for a dress that I ordered online and returned promptly to the store. It was in perfect condition, in original packaging, tags were attached, and I presented it with my jcpenney.com receipt. Instead, I was debited a $10.20 "adjustment" with no explanation. When I called an associate at jcpenney.com to report this she said it was a mistake and I would have to go back to the store to correct it. I had no intention of driving to JCPenney again. Instead, I called the Avenues Mall store a dozen different times and never got an answer. Then I wrote a complaint letter to the store manager (listed on LinkedIn as Carla Finney) and sent it UPS so there would be proof of delivery. I stated that if I did not receive the $10.20 credit by March 4th I would go public with my experience. The store manager never acknowledged my letter, which a UPS tracking document shows was received on Feb 24, 2022. Not only did JCPenney fail to process a basic return-and-refund transaction correctly it couldn't be bothered to even communicate with a customer.

don’t go to Linda - my color never looked so bad. She doesn’t listen. I agree with another post on here orange and white hair. I’ve been coloring my hair for years and never looked so bad.

Asked for blonde highlights in the front to frame my face including my bangs (my hair is a light brown) and instead just my bangs were colored. I look like a skunk and am extremely disappointed in this service. Furthermore, the bleach was so severe on my hair it is stringy and very damaged. I wanted a copperish blonde and instead got platinum. I will NEVER come back to this salon. They only offered a 10% discount for my experience.
