When I checked my car back in, they said there was "evidence of smoking" in the car. Yes, I smoke. I'm not stupid enough to smoke in a rental. Said there were ashes.
I cart all kinds of crap in my car for work. Never again.
Dealing with my banking establishment now.

Kalil is amazing! I walked in and there were SO many people, I thought it was going to take an eternity. Kalil was super efficient and attentive to everyone with a smile on his face. I got the car in a timely manner even though I had a last minute reservation and the car was in great shape. Thank you!!!

!!Beware!! They charged our card for over $23 000! We noticed this and took the car straight back the next day and instead of making their mistake right, they charged us full price for the 1 day and then increased the new price!
I wish I read all the bad reviews before I had my bad experience. We really tried to get a rental car from them and went back 3 times over 3 days, total of over 6 hours at their offices. Finally on day 3, went to collect our reserved car and, they had rented it out and increased our price again for an older, smaller SUV! Unfortunately no accountability to keep their prices, their promises or their word. They talk in riddles with changed prices, cars and deals and each staff member will hand you over to the next one with a different reason as to why the price must increase. I hoped they would help us out with an upgrade or a decent discount after all the problems they caused but unfortunately they decided to increase the price and rent out our reserved car!
We went to AVIS and got a better car in 30 minutes for $634 less than the Hertz quote. This whole experience must be told to help others out.

BEWARE Hertz is operating like a scam company. While the staff were very friendly I am totally disappointed in Hertz as a Gold member. They had only one car available and it was much larger than what was reserved. Then when I got home I found they added a charge to my bill of $6.95 for Sirrus radio that I never requested.then when I dropped at the airport I see they charged me $10 for a gallon of gas even though I returned full. No one asked as I have a receipt for gas. I am shocked as a long term Hertz renter. By the way the link to message a concern does not work. It is impossible to get anyone to answer a phone. Never again.

I reserved a pickup truck from this location. When I arrived, they had no truck. As I needed a vehicle to move office equipment, I asked what do you have..."nothing, except a van which has not been cleaned". Okay, not great but what choice did I have. And here is the - "How stupid can Hertz be". When I called to see if I might get a discount as it was not the vehicle I requested, it was filthy, and I am a preferred member. I was told, "you did not get any points for this rental, and we cannot do anything for you. Yeah - pretty stupid. As the choices are many - Enterprise now gets my company business (@ 4 to 5 rentals a month for I and my staff). Or $2,000 a month in expenditures. If I ran my business this way - I would be out of business in a month.

Best hertz in Florida. Had to drive over 200 miles cause Orlando airport, Hilton Hotel, Marriott hotel, and Sanford all denied me a rental due to a debit card. Staff was family oriented and very pleasant to deal with. Even the trainee’s first day didn’t cause a ripple in my day and made it even better sending me off in a new Mustang. Thank you for your help today.

The Hertz Philips Highway office was a dumpster fire. The manager left as we came in to pick up the car. This left one employee and a trainee to serve six or so queued customers. Excepting one return, no customer was served in sequence. Part of one case was addressed then another. A great deal of time was spent with the employee working with the trainee's computer getting out of a screen inadvertently accessed. When it finally came time to sign and go, we were given a Chevrolet Volt (last car) instead of the Nissan Rogue of similar we reserved. It was at 63% charge and were told there was a charge station at a nearby mall. We elected to charge the machine the next day when we were in Jacksonville Beach.Two charging stations were shown in the area. One seemed to be in the gated parking lot of a condominium lot, and one in a Whole Foods lot. We plugged into that one and the expected charge time was three hours. We searched for a higher wattage station and found it in a hotel lot in Town Center. It was out of order and estimated to reman so for at least an hour. We went home and called Expedia through whom we booked the car. They responded we were wrongfully given the electric car.We returned the car the second day. No refund for unused days was given at the time and we were told that a refund of our unused days and $200.00 deposit would be credited in 5 to 7 business days.Life is too short to do business with these people,

I was in desperate need of a vehicle at the last minute and called different Hertz locations in Jacksonville. When I called this location, May Lancaster went above and beyond the call of duty. She was able to find me a vehicle, took the time out to inform me of my options, and had the vehicle ready when I arrived 60 minutes later. (All with a pleasant & understanding demeanor).Upon entering the location I encountered Shakiya who was also pleasant and friendly. She greeted me with a smile and checked me out expeditiously.May & Shakiya BOTH provided EXCEPTIONAL customer service at the last minute. Top Notch service from these two ladies at this location. Thanks Hertz on Phillips Highway. I will be back!

In the end, I couldn't rent it, but I was impressed by the way they did their best for foreigners. The manager and staff seemed to be busy. Thank you for treating Koreans so kindly.
