Hi,
I’m writing to strongly express my concern regarding the vehicle I received during my recent rental.
The car we were given smelled heavily of cigarette smoke — and I’m currently pregnant. It’s absolutely unacceptable to assign a vehicle in that condition, especially under these circumstances. There is no way I would have chosen or used a vehicle that smelled like smoke, let alone contributed to that smell.
We were charged $400 for this — an unfair and inaccurate charge. I don’t smoke, and no one who was with me smokes either. I returned the vehicle clean and with a full tank of gas.
Vehicles should be properly inspected before being assigned, including checking for odors and interior condition. Handing over a car that smells like smoke, then charging the customer for it, is completely wrong.
I expect a full refund of the $400 charge and immediate clarification on this matter.

This type of vehicle should be removed from the fleet. From your side, it’s unacceptable to offer cars in such poor condition. Also, vehicles should be properly inspected before being handed over to customers — especially for things like cigarette odor. It’s unfair to charge me for something I did not do.

Great experience with recent car pickup. The gentleman at the front office was great. Although we hope we don’t have the rental for too long as our Chevy Suburban waiting on back ordered part, the car was clean and ready to go upon arrival and we were in and out quickly . Cheers Guys

Poor selection of vehicles I reserve a rental about a month ago had 2 Reservations got there they didn’t have the car didn’t give me a warning and caused me. An extreme inconvenience ended up having to go to a completely different place To get a rental car, I would understand if they gave me a heads up, but it was nothing considering never going back there again because of the inconvenience

I always have a good experience when I rent a car from Hertz. I loved that my last car rental had only 31,000 miles, leather seats that cooled and a sunroof. It was a very nice Chevy Malibu.
This location is convenient and the service is always good. I don't go anywhere else for a rental car.

Hertz suppose to be respectful company. They for sure charge premium for their services.
Unfortunately it is not the case. At least with this Hertz. We reserved full size car and the manager Stephen Vorst just casually gave us small SUV without even mentioning that he doesn’t have the car that we ordered. I am a tall guy and that’s why I always reserve the full size car.
The whole experience generally was pretty bad. The process also took about 1 hour. So we canceled the reservation.
My worst experience with car renting ever!
You can build a nice office, like Hertz did but you need to provide basic services to succeed in the business. I hope you guys just go bankrupt with your attitude.

If you want a car rental location to tell you the morning of your rental that they’re out of cars for you even though you got a reservation two months in advance this Hertz location is the place for you!

I would never rent from Hertz ever again. They overcharged me for something that wasn't even realistic, and they lied to me about me being fully refunded for the the over charge. I was told that I wouldn't be charged for an early checkout. Although I got there at 8, the checkout didn't take place til 8:40. I had to return the reps Beats headphones to him and asked could I be switched to a different car because the one He put me in didn't drive well, and they put into a dirty raggedy Malibu, which I did not complain about. The car looked like it was torn up by the police as if they had to conduct a search, and I still drove it and, in good faith, returned it full and clean. However, they tried charging me a 400.00 upgrade. They don't even have cars on their lot that's worth that type of rental fee. And they still charged me the 2 hour early checkout fee. At first I wasn't going to complain, but after seeing my bill, I immediately called them. The manager Steve lied to me and about taking the early check out fee n off and the adjustment of the upgrade charge. Well, I had to submit a complaint to corporate, and still, I was charged 246.00 for a rental that should have been 133.26. I have never had this problem before anytime I rented through Uber. I changed locations, and I'm penalized. I am upset and I'll never use their services again!!! It's so sad to me how this world is going today. How heartless and such liars people are. How cold and calculating their hearts are to please an entity that will annihilate them and replace them. But I see that they just don't care. Sad to know.
One day, Jesus will return, and everyone will be judged!!! It's time to consider the conditions of our hearts. But for now, I'll never rent through Hertz again!!

Terrible customer service/treatment. Do not rent here. Our rental was not ready or available at the time of our reservation. We booked the reservation on November 4th for rental on November 20th. We were never notified that we may not have a vehicle at the requested time. We finally received a vehicle 4 hours later at a different Hertz location by our own persistence, which was not in our contract. We tried to reach out to costumer service during the time we were trying to actually get a rental car and were denied help due to not having the vehicle yet. Because of this our trip plans had to change and is unacceptable. Then upon returning the vehicle, I was told there was excessive pet hair and in order to not be charged 400 extra dollars I need to drive up and clean the vehicle. Which I did for an hour. Then to be told they had never actually put the charge on my card and just “wanted to see if I’d come clean the vehicle.” Which to me seems like a way to get out of cleaning a vehicle and making the guest do it. For a ‘Gold member’ this is unacceptable. No point in being a Gold member if there’s no benefit just a bs label to make people feel important while you swindle fees and not hold up your end. We also used the provided email link to give feedback of our negative experience after we cleaned the car, it said someone would get back to us in 72 hours, that was over a week and a half ago - still no contact from anyone at Hertz. All they want is your money with no care of customer service or responsibility of actually having a car available to customers.
