Let me start off with...I don't fault the only employee working there. Unfortunately, I purchased a car that had to be delivered to the dealership, and so they "put me in a rental." I was shuttled to Hertz on Blanding blvd., near Collins road. If I had blinked, I would've missed them. The location is tiny! I've seen food trucks with more apace inside. I got there, and there was one person at the counter and two seated waiting to be serviced. So naturally, I would he serviced fourth. The associate behind the counter said he was the only one there, and he did the best he could. He would work with a customer at the counter and then have to physically leave out and go get the rental, take it to the back, for what I am assuming to be a quick cleanup. Then he would drive back around, take pictures of the vehicle, and then hand over the keys to the guest. Repeat. During my time, I selected a Chevy Impala, going through the same routine as everyone else. I took my own pictures, as I do with every rental, due to previous experiences. I was so exhausted that day and over the entire process, and I just wanted to get away from there--again, the associate did nothing wrong to me. After taking pictures of the vehicle himself, he apologized before I got ready to get in and said if I wanted to come back tomorrow to change out cars, he should have more, and he would understand. I thought it was odd, but again, I was ready to go! There was only a quarter tank of gas in the car, and the car was dirty--not filthy. There was not a proper detail done on nor in the car. I found blonde strands of hair in the car? ew, not cause its blonde but because it's anybodys hair but my own..lol. I just counted it all joy and moved past because I knew I wouldn't be in the rental long and that the young man was trying his best to do the jobs of at least three people. I can't say that I am a big fan of Hertz as a whole due to past experiences, but I definitely don't see myself returning to this location in the future. Please get that man some help!!

I had an unexpected vehicle issue yesterday and had to leave my car at the dealership next door for repairs. My service advisor at the dealership recommended Hertz as an alternative until my warranty protection was approved. It was a last-minute issue with my primary car that pretty much left me stranded. I called and asked if they had anything I could drive home, and they said they unfortunately could not accommodate. It makes sense, especially due to the proximity of many car dealerships, that they would not have something available at 4:30 on a Wednesday. The two associates working the evening of March 27th were more than accommodating… they allowed me to sit and wait for an hour to see if they had a return. They did have a car available, but unfortunately it was not ever cleared from regular maintenance (oil change) so it had to stay in the lot.I knew I was pressing my chances, but the gentleman working the desk made over 15 phone calls just to try and get me in a car. It was unsuccessful, but he stayed 1.5 hours after his shift ended to try and assist me. Kudos to this employee; I understand logistical challenges but he handled it wonderfully. His associate was especially as friendly, a customer showed up with a voucher to get a car from an alternative dealership, but nothing was available. She drove her to her destination on her own time. It may not be protocol, but THAT is great service.I wish I could name drop, but I am terrible with names. I hope Hertz recognizes these employees :)

This has to be one of the worst companies to work with and deal with!! Bad customer service, dirty vehicles, shady charges. Vehicle was rented through a GM dealership as a loaner while mine was in for warranty work. Hertz still charged me over $300 because it was brought back late of which there was no end time or return date listed because it was through a GM dealership. Well after many calls, complaints, and getting the dealership involved I got a refund. Low and behold had to bring my car back for more warranty work and they send me to hertz again and to my surprise hertz put me on a do not rent list!! Do not use these people they are bad bad bad!!

This location and the business is trash. 10 year customer and this location authorizes cards randomly after a new GM was hired. Not only did he try to cover it up but they didn't even make things right. How do you allow employees to steal from customers.

Rented a vehicle in May. 6 months later the illegally charged my cars for hundreds of dollars due to a mistake. After calling the branch and getting ran around in circles the manager returned my call at 4:59 1 minute before they closed after initially reaching out to them at 9am.So basically Hertz stole my money and said they'll give it back in 5 days. Choose a different company

Unbelievable you can only swipe a credit card. You are totally unable to use the chip or type the number into your system. Even with a car dealer paying the bill.

Not sure why this place has bad reviews.I had a decent experience with renting a car from here back in July. Stephaine was easy to talk to and provided good customer service experience. The price was good with my AAA discount. Everything was straight forward. The car, was fine, it smelled funky and was not in the best shape, mechanically. It’s a rental car. Was able to go on our 2400 mile round trip to Ohio with minimal issues. Had a few check engine lights. The Manager? I guess, was the one that cleaned the car. It was very rental car cleaned, lol. I took it home to detail it, before our trip.Nothing but good things to say about Stephanie. I do recommend you place your reservation MONTHs ahead to avoid not getting a car. If you wait until last minute, you won’t get a car. I worked for Penske back in college and understand how it works.Definitely renting another car for our Christmas vacation. Already booked

I went to return a car during the middle of the day on a Friday twice and there was a sign on the door stating they would be back momentarily. I had very limited time but waited for over 40 minutes the first time and probably 20 minutes the second time and was unable to return the vehicle. Calling hertz on the phone is a freaking joke. I did everything in my power to try to get them to understand that I needed to return the car at that location yet no one was there to return it to. I ended up paying a fee to drop it off at a different location and honestly nobody could give a damn this office caused me a lot of grief and I have to wonder if they ever made it back to their office. I will never rent from Hertz again This is only a small portion of my problems with Hertz. It doesn’t matter how many cards you want with them or what you spend they have zero customer service skills. They have gotten too big to give a damn about their customers rent anywhere else that you can thank me later. Lol

Service rep was great. Availability of vehicles with online reservation at particular price was not. What's the point of a reservation if you can't reserve it? Its not my fault someone didn't return their vehicle. If that's the case don't reserve it.

The absolute worst place to rent a car. Number one you're lucky if they have a car number two you're lucky if you get to the counter because of all the people that wait in that little itty bitty space there's no parking in the outside it's just it's awful.

They need to hire more help instead of one person trying to take care of six that were sitting there

If you need to drive that extra mile, do it. The experience is well worth it. I was able to have the car I wanted while mine was in shop without much hassle. Communication is key to good experience and they provide just that. Stephanie took that extra mile when I needed it the most. Definitely well worth it.

Demola Ogunmola is not cut out for customer service work. He needs to be fired. On the day I got my rental I witnessed him lie to a customer. Then he is so rude and unprofessional. He argues with EVERYONE. The customers, insurance adjusters and employees at other locations. I witnessed him arguing with my adjuster and another employee. He is not a people person. He is so rude I would prefer to use another company.
