Chavelle was so sweet. Greeted me as soon as I walked in. Told me all of the information I needed to know, left me with no questions. Chavelle even cracked a few jokes with me. Don’t know too much about this location. Hopefully everything goes smooth. So far so good. Love my car, no issues. Chavelle made sure before I pulled off I was good. Gave me the car on half a tank of gas. Will be doing business with this location again.

My husband and I went to pick up the rental car that we had reserved, and upon getting into the vehicle, found there to be an excessive amount of trash (at least 2 handfuls), and more concerning- drug paraphernalia (we had pictures to prove this). In addition- it also had an overwhelming smell of cologne/perfume, causing everyone (my children included) to suffer from headaches all day during our 12 hour drive. Whenever we have had a need to rent a vehicle, we have always chosen to rent with Hertz, and have NEVER had an experience like this! We went back into the office to tell them about the issue, as I was not comfortable putting my children in a vehicle where drug paraphernalia was found, and the smell was unbearable. The agent offered to put us in a Ford Focus that had just been “cleaned”. We agreed to that. Upon going out to get into that vehicle, we discovered that EVERY SEAT in that vehicle was wet, and stained with I cannot even imagine what (I have pictures to prove this). I was not about to make my children, my husband, or myself sit on wet, disgusting seats for 12 hours, so we again went BACK in the office, and I explained we needed something else. The agent said they had just gotten 3 vehicles back in, and we could wait for one of those. At this point, the pickup process (which normally takes 10 min or less) had been going on for almost an hour. We had a 12 hour drive ahead of us, and did not feel like it was fair for Hertz to delay us any further. The only other thing that was offered us was the initial car (the “drug car”)..,
.not having any other options, we reluctantly took that. I tried calling Hertz to speak with a customer service agent several times to report this issue, and ended up on hold for almost 30 min the first time, before speaking with someone who claimed he was in reservations and couldn’t help me. He also advised me to call the same number AGAIN, and choose the “customer service option”…which does not exist. I called back and navigated the prompts the best I could, and waited for OVER AN HOUR…no one ever picked up (I also have a screen shot showing the time stamp on the call to your 800 number before finally hanging up. There were also other issues with the car (scratches on the outside, several small dents, the carpet pulling up, and overall uncleanliness on both the outside and inside. We drove most of the 12 hour drive with the windows open to try to rid the smell from the car, only closing them when we drove through severe rain storms. This should never have had to be the case. This is was, by far, the WORST rental car experience we have EVER had! If I could have given zero stars, I would have…but that was not an option. ***Lastly, I called the location we rented from, and asked to speak to a manager to let them know about the experience we had, it the girl I spoke with (who said she was “one of them” - referring to managers), and that she would “let the GM know and “get back to me”. She didn’t take my name or number, so not sure how I’m supposed to get a call back if she didn’t collect any information…

Horrible experience, walking up the lobby, a gentleman was on his phone swiping left and right, after about 10 minutes, he picked his head up and finally looked at the next customer who walked in after me and told her he would be right there and went back to his phone. I approached him reminding him that I was the one next and he said I just told the customer to wait. Then he walked out and another employee showed up and started talking with the customer who was the 3rd person who walked in after me and he walked out getting his rental car and when it was my turn he said he doesn’t have any SUVs available. Had to get an electric vehicle which had about 20%. My experience was horrible.

After booking a reservation a week in advance, they called me the day before and notified me they are closed and cannot give me the rental. They then refused to switch the pick up location to another Hertz, called the main Hertz customer service and they had me on hold for 4 hours, and then tried to charge me double to switch the pick up location.

Made a reservation six months ago for a seven passenger minivan so that we could take a family road trip. Was notified the day before our trip that they would not have the vehicle for us, and could not send us to an another Hertz location to fulfill our order. The agent was unbothered by this inconvenience and her company’s negligence. We will never use Hertz again

Hertz has terrible customer service. If you return a car an hour late, they charge you for a whole day....but return a car 3 days early, do you get that back, of course not.

Chevelle with Hertz is terrific. There have been challenging rental experiences in the past (specifically car availability) but Chevelle is always very pleasant and professional. I appreciate Chevelle going over any beyond the call of duty time and time again.

Came one time to get a rental. They were rude, unenthusiastic, and unwilling to help. I left. I then a get a rental through Hertz on the Northside who were great and got me in a rental. I returned it at this location and again unmotivated to get me a ride back to the dealership that was paying for it. I will not recommend this place to anyone and will not return to do business with them. Sad I had to get my own transportation even though it was said that it would be provided for me.

Totally backwards, after another location confirmed they had the vehicle I wanted, we get their only to wait over an hour for them to produce the vehicle. Turns out it's the managers car that he says is his car. everyone in the store sitting around on their phone was never compensated for my inconvenience. I just got an apology for the wait.

I have never written a review but this place has broken that streak. I will not be renting again with this location at all. IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS I WOULD. I was waiting for over 40 mins when I first went to pick up my car. I left and came back because I was told they were waiting for a return. I received a call not 10mins later saying there was a vehicle. I come into the location again and AGAIN was waiting for an extensive period of time. Multiple employees made comments amongst themselves of “gonna take a smoke break” (while there was a line of us waiting), everyone decided to take lunch at the same time, and employees would come out the break room and blatantly ignore us. There was no sense of organization as we were skipped being helped as soon as new guests came in. When I finally FINALLY received my vehicle after more prolonged waiting it was dirty. There was still trash under the seats and dirt all over the inside. All in all employees didn’t seem to care from start to finish. Lesson learned: read the reviews first.
