If I could give less stars I would.
Cashier Crystal is EXTREMELY rude and unbelievably condescending. Let me start by stating i carry a reusable shopping bag because i walk to the store and its better for the environment. I often get food and then walk to this store for a drink for my family and I....I've had one unpleasant interaction with her before over her wanting me to leave my bag with food in it at the front with her...I declined as that is not sanitary but had my son wait upfront to avoid arguing with her. Please be advised this store has no sign stating that personal shopping bags must stay up front. Today 06/04/2024 I walked in alone with my bag after getting food , I had my headphones on enjoying my music and my day....no one was at the front...I walked straight to the drink section...grabbed water and a soda and headed to the register...I took out one of my earpods as to not be rude and waited. Crystal checked out the person in front of me and then waved for a man to come ahead of me, the gentleman and I looked at each other confused and then Crystal yells out she is not going to check my things out....I said what's the problem her response was " you heard me calling out to you, everybody in here heard me" ....I said what?...I had my headphones in...she says " you only got one in"...like I stated above I removed one only to check out. Needless to say she was very upset that I did not hear her trying to stop me with my shopping bag and refused to do her job because of it (again i had my earpods in and let me add that my hearing is not the best).
I tried my best to remain calm but the way she speaks to people is very unprofessional and disrespectful... she told me I didnt follow her directions so she wasn't going to allow me to purchase anything.....as if i work for her when in fact I'm the customer. To top it all off she called the police on me while explaining the issue to her coworker while simultaneously waiting on her to provide the number to corporate (which she kept avoiding).
Crystal needs to be fired as her behavior unfortunately is a very sour reflection on the family dollar brand.
Just because this store may not be in what's considered the best side of town, it does not give you the right to treat the people who ultimately keep YOU with a paycheck like they are beneath you or in a manner that you would not like to be treated.
I will be reaching out to higher ups as I do feel this was discrimination and will handle it accordingly. I've never had this issue before in this store, with any other employee (including the manager) nor in any other larger establishment.

Those are some nastiest rude disrespectful hateful young so-call women I've ever encounter. Just today Feb 20 2024 there was a cashier at the first register that was sooo rude. She's a short li girl with a ring thing between her nose light skinned and ratchet as hell. She threw my stuff in the bag and talked crazy as I was leaving. If u ask me ALL THEY WANT IS ATTENTION..and they DON'T WANT TO WORK.

Most rude young women I’ve ever met (January 22nd 2024 4:05 pm ) 2 young ones and one polite older lady who wasn’t at the register . I asked if I could get cash back she shook her head snarled and said I just got here, I don’t know . I asked if someone knew the other girl said I just got here I don’t know in a rude tone also . So I went to get cash back because no one knew and they all got mad said “and you still gonna do it.” Yeah because no one’s communicating and you’re rude to your customers. Jokes on her tho she gave me 15$ back instead of 10 thanks for the free beers jerks. Don’t go here garbage employees . Racist Clowns don’t treat me like trash bc of the things my ancestors did, I treated you with respect . It’s a 2 way street fire them girls absolute trash.

This is one of the most ghetto establishments in this area. And although the manager herself has tried to douse lighter fluid on me I still find myself in need of a grocery store in the hood so I go there at a different time in the evening when I know she's not working and it's 7:50 it's closed on a Thursday this is great

I visited this family Dollar and the line was extremely long to include one person had store buggy full of food with about 8 other customers in line. I asked could we please get another lane opened and the Manager on duty "Sharon" didn't appear to be customer oriented and seems to stuck on her title. She was on her cell phone telling someone it's her night to close and hiding in the back. She finally opened a lane after having a few words with her. This family Dollar has a bad reputation on being disrespectful to their Customers. Management you all need to look into this. This has gone on far too long. If you are going to be in business then treat everyone like they are important. Perhaps because of the area they think they get a pass to treat people any kind of way. Not sure why but this is the only family dollar that has this problem. You all need a stronger leadership team. People also need to understand they can be replaced. I hope my next visit is better. Thank you

Cashier's are always on the phone talking. All but one is rude. Shelves are empty most of the the time. I have to shop at a different store. Praying it gets better.
