I’ve never felt so disrespected in my life before. On June 10th, 2024, I walked into this dollar general fully expecting to get a few things for my son and walk back home in the heat. Walking into the store I proceeded to take off my book bag because I know that’s the policy but apparently that wasn’t enough for the white lady with blonde hair and glasses behind the counter because as I’m walking away to get my items she’s calling for me to come back, and proceeds to ask me to take my son out his stroller and his a cart instead.. Now I don’t know if I missed the sign on the door that said strollers aren’t allowed in the store, I guess that had to be because there isn’t one and nobody in the world has ever asked a mother to take her kid out their stroller and use a cart.. You can have a stroller in Walmart, family dollar, Target, concerts, airports basically anywhere but I guess the line stops at dollar general. I found that to be extremely offensive and really stupid to ask. Mind you, this lady (white, blonde, glasses and old) has never seen me even flinch to put something in my pocket before paying! Never! And the fact I was already coming in and putting my bag down you would think I would’ve been greeted at least no the first thing that she thinks is, “oh she’s a thief” and that’s fine - go watch the camera, follow me around the store - but be fully prepared to look stupid as hell. I’m sure dollar general didn’t tell you to say that because that’s just a stupid question, all the way around I don’t care what color you are. This is how people get yelled at by customers but then want to make it seem like we are the problem when I literally did nothing wrong! Completely unprofessional, disrespectful and rude! I shouldn’t have to brace myself to deal with her piss poor attitude just to get some tissue that’s ridiculous! And it’s only her, every one else is so friendly. (Of course she’s still gonna be there, probably a manager) but I feel better now.
Not to mention she had the audacity to ask me what my son’s age was when I got to the counter, lady take a long walk off a short cliff. (But I’m sure she was probably just checking to see if there was something behind his back, which there wasn’t because all black people aren’t thieves!) the way she thought I was coming to steal with an umbrella stroller, there’s literally no bottom! Please do better.

Be aware that they consistently have the wrong prices on the shelf. When you go to the registered things are ringing up 25 to 30% higher than the shelf price. When you tell them they just shrug their shoulders.
Example... I bought a can of Campbell's potato soup yesterday The shelf price is $1.00 and for every flavor of this soup.
I go to cash out it was a $1.25.
Today, the can of spam The shelf price was $3.50 when they cash me out it was $3.95.
This was happening a lot a year ago when they were short of staff. But it still continues. No more excuses quit ripping off customers Dollar general.

Worst dollar general ever! They do not update their sales tags at the store and prices is not coming up with current sales! The staff needs to know how digital coupons works vs a sales

The older woman that wears glasses is rude as hell and is always on some kind of power trip and always has a nasty attitude after having to deal with her multiple times I am very surprised that she still holds the job at this location after finding out she's had multiple issues at other Dollar General locations and like everyone else says the sign says closing time is 10 p.m. and if this particular rude woman is working the evening shift you can count on the place closing at least by 9:30 p.m. never fails!!! Even though I'm the customer and continue to go back I've tried to reason and be respectful to this woman but for some reasons she has repeatedly been very rude to me as I've witnessed her do the same with other customers!! Someone needs to put this woman in check and I'm surprised I don't see a bunch of other reviews singling her out because for the most part the rest of the employees that work there are usually pretty nice and decent!!!
