Had a very horrible experience with CitiBank recently. After years of being a customer, experienced some of the worst service I have seen in 39 years on this planet. I have been canceling all CitiCards and sugesting anyone who will listen does the same! They have gone down hill drasticaly in recent years and really not worth it. If you are thinking of opening an account, credit card etc. or applying for a job, be really wary!

I worked the Citibank for 12 years. It was the worst place I ever worked in my life. I worked in law enforcement for 12 years. I was liaison to the US Marshals. I worked in the Garmin center for 12 years and I worked on Wall Street in the stock market but Citibank by far was the worst place I ever worked. It was dirty, disgusting and diseased. The managers there were nasty and I had to report them to ethics numerous times. You get tied to a phone with a cord. It's torture and they give you two computers grains with seven different applications. It's impossible. It's the worst place I ever worked. Everybody there is on some kind of antidepressant medication. I've seen people who were suicidal just from working there. When I finally left. I ended up with sciatica. I have a friend that had three discs in her neck from her twisting her neck just to be on the phone 24/7 back to back phone calls. Worse place ever now they shipped everything to the Philippines. If you want to talk to somebody in America, you will never get to do that. The people in the Philippines are rude and hang up on you. They are third world country. I have Filipino friends and I love them. But these people are not trained and they can fault the equipment and they have no idea what they're doing. They'll tell you to go to a branch if you want to get you your checking. I can't even get my checking account with them. It's ridiculous. I have a lot of money in that bank. They won't even give me a debit card. I called to pay off my credit card. They wouldn't let me. I spoke to somebody in Guatemala of all places and he wouldn't change my phone number. It wouldn't tell me my balance wouldn't let me make a payment on my own damn credit card. I tell everybody I know never ever ever ever bank at Citibank. I even have a video where I actually went to the branch and there was only one person working there. When I work there. There were four armed men security. This guy was in his pajamas. He didn't know what the hell he was doing. I said to him I need to go get all my money out of this bank and leave. He would not get me a teller. He didn't know what to do so I filmed him while I cut up my debit card and threw it him. He did nothing and he didn't know what to do and he was scared. My boyfriend was with me as a witness. I believe they want to go out of business because they treat everybody like s*** all the customers when I work there. I got cursed out every day all day long. It was torture working there worse job I ever had. I had to retire because of how bad it was. Disgusting place to work. They have my money and they won't even give me a debit card. My boyfriend thinks they're nuts. He said he would never deal with anything like that. He's never seen anything like that. I have spent 17 days on the phone. Just trying to get a phone number changed. Eight different representatives in the Philippines hung up on me. Five in India hung up with me. I got somebody in America and they were very extremely rude. Rudest people ever that work there. Why? Because they hate working there. I actually have a lawyer that's going to sue them for me. That's how much they're bad. Everybody hates Citibank they suck

Beware! They are used for fraud and good luck if you want to talk to a human to report it. If you are unfortunate enough to speak to someone, they will be unintelligible and unhelpful.

PSA: Do yourself a favor and take you money and business elsewhere. This bank institution does not care able their clients. I had a problem where I was a victim of identity theft. Sent them the documentation showing such. And because they stole money from me through Zelle. Mind you I do not know these individuals from Adam. They refused to refund me back my money that was stolen. Appeals several times and still got denied. They dismissed me as if it was my fault for being a victim. I have been giving them my business for 15+ years, and they refused to help me or transfer me to the dept that handles these types of situation. I closed my account opened a new one and to add injury to insult they are now charging me a service monthly fee. Run people run!! Go to a bank institution that will treat you with kindness and respect and appreciate your business. So disappointed in them.

Was an employee. When I was out on Disability, they terminated me. Now I am trying to get my $ from my pension account. Nothing but excessive paperwork and run around.

I drive 2 hours to get to Citibank and only to find out that they closed the branch down I wasn't very happy I will not have any more dealings with them

I've decided to post this everywhere I can. My experience with this online bank (not the physical branch) has been the worse one I've ever had. Every single online bank except Citi restricts the customer to only a $15,000 a month transfer from their Citi high yield savings account to their external account. Every other online bank has no limit: Discover, Synchrony, Capital One, American Express. Yes, you read right: No limit!!!!!!! As a result I have no way of conducting business. It would take almost 2 years to get my money out at that ridiculous low amount. This is not a CD!!! I could not possibly recommend this online bank to anyone. Citi traps your money and makes it almost impossible to get out. The main point of my review is this: Limiting customers to $15,000 a month to an external account is absolutely foolish and is not practiced by any other online bank I have found. I'm super disappointed in their policy and everyone knows this is not an honest business practice.
