Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. Walked into the store, then to the restroom, and then out to the car lot. No one even tried to greet us or made eye contact with us. Drove about two hours to look at a Toyota Tundra. The truck was absolutely disgusting. It smelled so gross and definitely had not been cleaned. Worst CarMax experience ever. I've purchased a car from CarMax before and it was a great experience. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone. What a waste of our time on a Saturday night.

So far the experience has been wonderful. I don't have any complaints that were not resolved quickly. I will follow up once my 3 month warranty had expired.

I had a terrible experience at a car dealership next to CarMax. I walked out and went next door to CarMax where I was greeted warmly. A car like I wanted was found in Tampa and they had it brought up for me to drive and inspect. I loved the car and became the new owner that day. I had a horrible experience at one dealership only to go next door and buy a car. It ended up being a very good day! I give CarMax a 5 plus.

This is the third car I have purchased from CarMax. Great inventory to choose from. Website is easy to use and setting alerts is an excellent way to find when a car becomes available. With a trade-in appraisal, test drive, and paperwork we were done in 3 hours. No haggle policy saves everyone time and the fees were under most other dealers. Would go back again.

HORRIBLE!! Do not RECOMMEND CarMax to anyone!! My 19 year old was in need of a reliable car due to her commuting back and forth to Tallahassee for school 2xs a week. So, we purchased a car from CarMax in February 2024. My daughter had her car less than 30days when the head gasket blew resulting in her being broke down/ stranded in Tallahassee. Got the vehicle back to Jacksonville and took it to CarMax for repair. They referred me to the Honda dealership. Because my daughter commutes to Tallahassee 2xs a week the 90 day warranty no longer applied. We got that repaired. 2 weeks later her dashboard lit up like a Christmas again with all the same lights on it. Took it back to the dealership this time they advised that it was coil causing the car to misfire / sputter. The warranty company MaxCare did not cover the cost of repair. So, the Honda dealership on Atlantic Blvd covered the cost and didn’t charge due to the repeat issues with the car and again having it less than 30 days. Now, here we go again. The car dashboard lit up again with all trouble lights and once more stalled, sputtered and would not accelerate. At this point now I was advised that all coils needed to be replaced and that the warranty company MaxCare refuse to cover. Keep in mind every time the car was at the dealership she was without a vehicle and having to Uber or we’d have to make arrangements for other transportation so not only are we having to pay for the car now we’re having to pay for additional transportation out of pocket. I’ve gone back and forth with CarMax Customer Relations (no help) and spoken with numerous people at the CarMax. We were sold a lemon!! I’m beyond frustrated and would not recommend purchasing another vehicle from them again!!

The appraisal guy AT CARMAX ON ORANGE PARK doesnt have any clue of what is doing! Anyone sell their cars to carmaxi say one thing! DONT! THEY TRY RO RIP YOU OFF! I CAN PROVE IT ANYTIME

My last review got deleted. They do not do the 125 point inspection and will tell you they have no documentation of it. If you call the call center, they tell you the location you bought your car is supposed to have all that documentation. They stopped answering my emails and refused to tell me even the date that the inspection was done. My car has been in the shop for almost 2 weeks now and I’ve had to FIGHT to get them to fix NECESSARY repairs. Never buying from here again, my first experience was 1000x better than this recent one. I was a forever CarMax customer, now I’ll probably never buy a CarMax car again

Received the offer online after filling up all necessary documentation got confirmation offer for 7 days when I went to the company according my appointment they gave me the story about they do not have my offer even I present the confirmation from their own company had to do all new appraisal and received the new offer $2,000 less than CarMax promise me previously sounds like a well played game to scam the customers just to drag the people in and then let's see what happened

Service department is horrible. Unable to make a simple repair so they send vehicles to small time partners who are not competent just so they don’t have to pay a real service shop to fix the vehicle correctly. Will never buy from Carmax again. Their warranty is worthless.
