Pros: The store is clean.
Cons: The 1 star is because the employees always look miserable and lack enthusiasm for helping customers.
Their attitudes are short and they don't seem to want to be there at all.
I've visited this location several times because it is next to Trader Joe's and because I love books and magazines but I stopped going because the workers don't want to help and the magazine section is horrible. They literally never have the magazines that I want in stock. The magazines are often months old. Check the dates and make sure you aren't getting outdated issues.
It doesn't matter what time or day that you go into this store and doesn't matter which employees are working there it's something about their training. They are like robots with the same attitude. No one is going above and beyond at the San Jose Blvd Jacksonville Barnes and Noble location.
If you have a bad apple that is doing the training you end up with a store full of bad apples for employees. The Barnes and Noble San Jose Blvd Jacksonville location needs an employee overhaul starting at the top.

Come here every Saturday for my knitting group. The staff are also super sweet and know my friend group. We love coming here to chat, knit, and enjoy some coffee.

I wont exaggerate in saying that this is my second home..a good book, a Venti-sized Java Chip Frappucino from their café/Starbucks..chillin' by the counter facing the salesfloor to also see the other booklovers..time for myself..my peace

Found book I was looking for, only 1 copy, but it was damaged. Offered to ship it to my house for free or take 15% off the copy in store. I took the damaged copy... but either way, the staff was extremely polite and helpful.
