Well, this 5-Star review is really for what they did to "make things right." There was a large section that was missed (securities) on my 2021 federal tax return which, subsequently, had us receiving a nastygram from the IRS. An honest mistake and oversight. Granted, this sent me into a frenzy, but DirecTax calmly went into action to help correct the issue. They generated a 1040X which helped to lower the amount required to the IRS and provided guidance to possibly get the interest and penalty waived...but, that could not happen with my situation. It was quite easy to communicate with the company and they willingly kept me abreast with any and all situations with regards to making things right by reimbursing the penalty and interest...as well as reimbursing the preparation fees for the 2021 tax year. This is obviously something that DirecTax should do, but the way they communicated with me via mail, email and phone, helped to alleviate the stress in my life with regards to this situation. In no way, shape, or form am I saying that they will do this for everyone as I am sure it is situational. Thank you very much, DirecTax!

The NAS Jax location has their hours of operation posted and when I arrived Chris had recently added a sign to the door stating they are no longer taking walk-ins when I asked about when the sign went up so I can understand their hours better he told me that the sign is there now and that I need to get out… as a result of this extremely poor level of customer service I refuse to return to this organization!!!

Over 20 years my family and friends have been doing our taxes with Mike Whitaker (Directaxes) and we’re never disappointed with his work. The thing is if we felt comfortable doing our own taxes, then we wouldn’t go to get them done by professional’s, we really need to remember...NOTHING IS FREE. More of us should cater to our military ( as Directaxes does)because...THEY’RE STANDING WATCH OVER US, while we sleep at night , watching our borders. Let us not criticize the few that are catering to our military.I AM THANKFUL TO DIRECTAXES FOR SUPPORTTING OUR MILITARY WOMEN AND MEN.

i wandered into this place after seeing their sign that always has cute little adages; i took a chance of going in to get tax help as a walk-in with no appointment; it was a really great experience; my docs weren't as organized as I thought they were but their staff was patient with me and walked me through this process relatively easy; i will likely come back to them in 2020 for assistance; friendly staff and helped me get through a hurdle in crunch time
