ROACHES! Spiders! Loud noises. Horrible smells. Worst of all, our stay cost more than the beautiful Cheeka Lodge down the road. Do NOT bring a significant other here - my girlfriend was bitten by roaches and I left with a nasty spider bite that lasted for weeks. Management was unreceptive to all of this. Just find another option.

Employees were nice and location was excellent. Perfect view of the ocean from our 2 bedroom unit. The small 2nd bedroom had no fan so it's a bit toasty in there. There was also no curtain in the smaller bedroom and the light from the outer hallway shined through the window all night. Very basic accommodations and small pool. Breakfast is basic- bagels, cereal, muffins, juices, coffee- but I liked that it was included! Free parking.

We stayed here for a wedding and unfortunately didn't look into it at all. The only things I have to say that are positive are:1) Thomas at the front desk was a super nice guy2) The location and exterior of the building are nice. Now the negatives... The rooms are super small and the structure is very old. When we arrived, we had stained bed sheets, stained pillow covers and hairs all over beds, the sink and bath tubs. My brother in law had a decent amount of mold in his room to the point that the 2 people staying in the room were having sinus issues (we are all Floridians too so nothing to do with traveling). The price is WAY too high for these rooms, especially when nicer hotels had cheaper rooms available in the area. I hate doing bad reviews but this was completely earned, motel quality rooms for high end prices.BUT... if I stayed in a nicer hotel I wouldnt have had a backed up bathroom sink that bubbled when I flushed the toilet like I had at Hadley House sooooo...

We set up a room block here for our wedding and it was great! The property is very well maintained and all of the staff were amazing! We even had our welcome dinner on site at the patio area off of the front office and it worked perfectly!

Good for a quick semi cheap stop in the middle of the night to catch a nap before heading to key west...being they are open all night unlike most others amongst the entire stretch of islands..Rooms are decent our particular bathroom was tiny and awkward I'm sure bigger rooms have better bathrooms. We had small room with double queen beds.. ac worked well.. plenty of parking.. biker friendly.

We stayed on the top floor, 4th floor. Told thoughtfully there was an elevator. I really wanted to give this place a thoughtful review bc the manager at the sister facility was so awesome and nice. Def five stars to the desk staff. But I can’t give the hotel more than 2. So many things can’t even allow it to be a clean, nice view to stay in the keys, which a lot of places tend to be down there bc of the salt, sand and weather. Check in was seamless. Thomas and Thomas gave me my car pass to place in the truck and room keys. They told me there was plenty of parking underneath or behind the building. And sent me on my way. I do wish they explained ice machines, free non motorized sports, bikes, pool location, dock space (at the time really only allotted option of 4 spaces, 2 which were occupied), or stairs versus elevator. I will say we stayed here bc I stayed at a sister facility down the road and wasn’t ready to go home. How nice to wave my dock fee and dog fee.. bc otherwise I don’t feel the money I paid for the room is thoughtful, way to much for what I experienced outside of the room. I do appreciate the staff managers hospitality which is likely most of why I have it 2 stars and not less tbh. I feel it needs soooo much work. The bathrooms and room itself looks like they are attempting to renovate the facility over time possibly. So I can appreciate it has a lot of potential but there are key things they need to do asap or it will never continue to see visitors… elevator as the key need of service. I mean absolutely now… don’t wait if you are reading this. It is dangerous imo. The ice machine on the second floor does not work, not at all. It’s plugged in and that’s about it. There is a random bathroom on the second floor and tbh the art work in there was a little scary. I def would defer using it tbh just for that reason! The work men outside the hotel under the building roped off all the parking so essentially only 8 spaces plus handicap spaces. Now had the facility been full, where would someone park? The side areas were tow zones so… not sure what we would have done on high season. As for boat trailer… maybe enough space for possibly 2-3 trailers… even less of the under parking remains blocked. And the main reason for the lower end review… the elevator. Going up I am surprised me and my dogs made it. Now it’s old and i can appreciate old but it felt it was barely hanging on… and wiggles as you go almost feeling as if it is barely holding on by a string? I felt sorry for the family on the second floor with a son in a WC bc they had no choice but to take the elevator. So many ppl likely felt the same way bc anyone I saw was taking the stairs. No one except the poor family took the elevator. The view was lovely, I do appreciate it is dog friendly, and overall the beds and bathroom appears clean. The air conditioner Is an older unit, appears to work ok as long as you keep it on continuous fan at about 69 degrees. I do appreciate my air around 72-74. Also…The fridge, did not cool barely. I had to put my fish on ice to make sure it didn’t go bad. Our milk went bad by morning. I cranked it up all the way too. The boat dock is full of jet skis, and if there is any storm or wake, the boat will bang. ESP when the jet skis leave the slip. I just feel If everyone had a boat at the marina it would be right. Def I am sure there is a cap at about 4 boats for the hotel or it would be awkward. I will say they did add some chairs and new gravel to the walk ways that seem nice. It def has a long way to go to meet standards of the prices they are listing on travel sites. ESP bc the pictures do show very updated rooms. The outside is a far cry from completion unfortunately. I do feel they need to prioritize the elevator. I feel it is going to hurt someone. We took the stairs up and down several times. Overall, it kind of dampened my last day. I was ready to go home after that… it was just run down outside and somewhat scary and quiet back there. As is, unless they fix ip the outside, elevator and provide better accommodations outside… I

Thomas Cort and Ferny were fantastic. They both were very friendly and accommodating. Helpful with a situation.Location is great. The breakfast was skimpy, had to eat outside. Our room was beautiful but did not have a small table and two chairs inside to eat at.The elevator was broken the day before we arrived which was for two more days, fixed for a day and broken again. No discount for on site boat rentals.Pool needed to have the inside walls cleaned.Food & drinks: Restaurants and shopping on nearby

Spent my husband’s birthday here Labor Day weekend 2023 - the location is great! Close to the bridges for fishing, friendly staff, beautiful location!! Perfect for traveling with a small boat or jetskis. Ramp available to use on property for $25-40/Day depending if you require a dock space for the day.

Place is nicer since renovation, unfortunately a fresh coat of paint doesn't cover some of the issues we encountered. As we were greeted with a $20 fee for early check-in, which I've never heard of.At first glance room seemed clean, but we started finding long black hairs throughout the room including the bathroom. We finally got to the pool which we were looking forward to, only to take a dip in water that was warmer than our body temperatures! Would have been great in the winter I suppose. We did not report any of this to the front desk, because to be honest the front desk person didn't seem interested in any complaints...

Fernie at the front desk is the best thing at the Hadley house! She's amazing and funny and super helpful and kind. We got a place overlooking the water which was beautiful and the rooms were clean and beds very comfy. I'd definitely stay here again.

I want to definitely say this hotel gets a five star review from me. I have seen other reviews here that are not great but I have to say we have not one bad thing to say about this lovely place. The room air conditioner was awesome! Kept us cool all night long. The bathroom and entire room was uber clean. The view was spectacular. The parking was great as we could park underneath the building so the car stayed cool. There is a place to rent boats and jet skis and they were very accomodating. The pool was very clean but it was hot, which is to be expected as summer in the Keys is just plain hot. Cannot find a cool pool anywhere so don't expect it. At one point the neighbors in the next room over were being loud. I called the front desk and they promptly came up to their room and took care of the situation immediately. I highly recommend Hadley House. We will definitely be staying there again. Oh, and the staff is very friendly and the groundskeeper is outstanding. So beautiful!

Pool is filthy, debris all through out the pool and trash on the pool deck, around the grounds. Young employees driving very recklessly on golf carts, almost hit my truck. Yeah one night is enough. Rooms are ok, they do have animals in here since we found enough hair still on sofa to make a small hat.

Great location. Free rental of kayaks and paddle boards, but only 2 of each. Breakfast starts latish (8am). Ample space in rooms. Love the ocean view!

Overall the place is not bad but the images do sell more than what's expected. I thought I was getting the building and went to the other side rooms are small and no kitchen to cook. It was overpriced. The pool was on the other side of our building so no restroom nearby.

We stay here every year. Always book on line. This year we came down early and tried to get extra room. A room was available but we would have to move the next day to "our" room. Walked in to "Ferny" at front desk. Polite friendly and spent 25 min trying to fix so we didn't have to move tomorrow. She couldn't do it and told me should would be right back. Ferny came back after speaking to manager and informed me since we were returning customer she up graded us to nicer room, no changing room at no charge!!!Ferny you are what every business needs!!!! Thank you for the extra effort!!!!!
