Great experience overall. Hotel was remodeled nicely. Staff were absolutely amazing, especially Marcus at the inside bar (makes amazing espresso martinis) and Krissan at front desk was extremely kindhearted and knowledgeable on hotel information.

Husband and I stayed for our honeymoon. Phenomenal hotel. Shuttle between the three resorts was everything! Being able to see / try food from different locations was amazing. We watched Scott preform while watching the sunset at the tiki bar. Room was spacious and clean! Check in could have been a little better but understood sometimes you just can’t check in early. Was able to use the amenities while waiting. We got texts the day before, during and after from Amber which was nice. Continental breakfast would be the only thing I’d add!!!
Rooms: Clean!
Food and drinks: Everything was great!

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon! The staff at every desk, bar, & restaurant were absolutely amazing! Beginning with check in Amber at the front desk was so extremely helpful along with another lady(didn't catch her name). Thank you both for making the week so easy and stress free! Abner, Jackie, Omar, & Aliton at the bar were hands down the best bar staff I've seen! We never felt unnoticed and they were always attentive and kind! Dillip was our server in the restaurant for breakfast one morning and he really made my day! I am a diabetic so I inquired about any sugar free juices and he brought out different juices so I could look at the labels!! When I wasn't able to have them he said I could bring my own juice down and he would be happy to make me a drink with it! This resort is a 10/10. And I can not wait to come back!!

We had the most amazing trip to Islamorada and Amara Cay was one of the reasons why! We cannot speak more highly of the staff and the hospitality we received. Each person granted us with a smile and asked how our stay was going and if there was anything we needed. This ranks up there with some of the best five star we have stayed at around the world! We want to specifically recognize Marcus in the lobby bar, he is amazing! He greeted us by name after one meeting and by the end of the trip, we felt like old friends. This was not unique to just us, every person we meet at the bar felt the same as we did about Marcus! He is AMAZING and we cannot wait for our next visit!
Safety: I never felt unsafe while we were staying at the hotel.
Walkability: Easy property to walk around and there were a few places to eat within walking distance.
Food and drinks: The food was good and provided a good variety of options.

Lovely hotel with great amenities, from bikes to kayaks, several restaurants and a Tiki bar with a happy hour located by the pool and beach area. Staff were welcoming and helpful and the rooms were clean and well appointed. All together a great place to stop and relax along the Florida Keys, we would absolutely recommend!

My husband & I went here on vacation lov
ed it. Unfortunately, Milton arrived. We made the best of it. Long as everyone was safe. Service was wonderful. The room was nice wish they had a window in the bedroom to see that spectacular view. The restaurant could definitely have more of a selection for dinner. We had to go out to eat several nights. We would definitely go back. Thank you, to all the staff everyone was wonderful.
Food and drinks: Drinks were delicious. Not to crazy about the dinner menu. Needs more of a selection.

We stayed at La Siesta Resort but, had breakfast room service from the Amara. The avocado toast with eggs and kids pancakes were exceptionally delicious. We had a wonderful woman named Amanda W. Deliver our breakfast and she was a ray of sunshine. Highly recommend breakfast room service from here.

We have been staying at the Pelican Cove & Postcard Inn for over 10 years and have now stayed at all 4 properties. Unfortunately, there was a loss of our reservation at Pelican Cove for the 2024 spring break and it was not the delightful experience that we are used to. The manager (Sarah) did not call me back after repeated requests and would not honor a previous discount that was on our lost reservation. The general manager did not respond to my phone requests either. When we arrived there, the reservation was not correct, but thankfully a room was found for our first day at the sister location (La Siesta), so that was a blessing. The front desk were welcoming and lovely at La Siesta which was similar to our experiences in the past. Since we have spent 10 years with this resort collection I am very upset by the way Sarah handled the situation. They are under new ownership and I have yet to hear a response from them as well. As for the property: It is LOVELY! They have kyacking and paddleboards included and the staff under the hut are wonderful and fun! I would say that Amara Cay is a quieter hotel since it is a traditional building, where Pelican Cove is more open (doors on a balcony over the parking lot), but I honestly like balconies overlooking the ocean and the quiet beach with more shade and privacy at the Pelican Cove location. Postcard has a beautiful Marina and they are next door, so you can easily enjoy both properties. There is a shuttle, so you can enjoy their other properties as well. We have stayed at all four and honestly, the water front on each property is wonderful. We have stayed at Cheeca too, and love it, but the prices are usually a little less at this collection. I am unsure where we will be staying next year.Rooms: Beautiful two room, two bathroom suite which very clean which had two balconies overlooking the ocean! Outstanding really.Nearby activities: We lived for 5 months in Islamorada and I would advise to go to Robbies to feed the tarpon and be greeted by many pelicans. Sometimes there is a manatee or nurse sharks there. Can kyack here too which is very fun to explore their little water ways and canals under the low canopy of the mangroves on the Gulf of Mexico. I saw a salt water crocodile (and am more of a chicken) so I prefer to kyack for free on the ocean side. Don't miss the small antique shop on the other side of the parking lot (past the bathrooms) where you can get a small bag of sea glass for $5. There are a few shops, but I would love to see a few more vendors pop up in the future.Noteworthy details: Kyacking & paddleboarding. They have warm fire pits for after dinner.

I am absolutely appalled by the experience I had at this hotel. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that the so-called "service" was nothing more than a bare minimum attempt at hospitality. The check-in process was slower than a sloth on sedatives. The staff were as welcoming as a cactus. They had the attitude of a disgruntled DMV worker but without the speed or efficiency. I had a confirmed reservation, but you'd think I was asking for a kidney the way they reacted. The room was no better. The sheets looked like they'd hosted a food fight and the bathroom seemed like it was auditioning for a spot on 'World's Dirtiest Restrooms.' Even after reporting these issues, no action was taken to rectify them. The staff completely ignored my complaints and made no effort to improve my stay. The on-site restaurant was another disappointment. The food was subpar, and the wait staff seemed uninterested in providing any semblance of decent service. I had to ask multiple times for simple things like water or utensils, and even then, they were brought grudgingly and after a long wait.Overall, this was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. The lack of professionalism, the dismal state of the rooms, and the poor quality of the food all contribute to my negative review. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this hotel at all costs.
