I have been disappointed twice now and this will be the last time. My first trip was to get a vintage pair of earrings updated to lever backs. They fell apart as the recipient took them out of the gift box.
Meanwhile I had brought in a pair of gemstones to be put in a stud earring setting. A month later after not hearing anything I stopped in to inquire. I was told to wait until I received a phone call. Another month later, no phone call, I decided to stop in and see what has happened to my jewelry. I was given a series of events and still my earrings were not set and a simple jump ring was not added to my bracelet. I was told it will be ready tomorrow and it will be $ 80+ and $29 for the bracelet jump ring. Needless to say I'm extremely disappointed and will not bring my business back. What a shame.

I took a ring with a sizing line to this jeweler and was told they could fix it by removing the bar and redoing the sizing. I agreed and picked it up a week later. It lasted two months before the sizing line came back. When I took it in the second time they offered to redo the repair. It hasn't even been two months and the line is back. I don't understand how this happens if they removed the bar and did a new sizing, but I was told it could be our water... None of my other rings have a line and all have been sized. It's a bummer because I could've returned the ring if it wasn't fixable, but because they said they could fix it, I relied on their capabilities and missed out on the return window. They were nice enough, but I would not recommend having any work done at this jeweler.

I bought a new watch band online and took the old one off myself. I could not get the new one on with my arthritis. I called and asked if they could pop the new band on as the pins would not pop in. They said sure....bring it in. I brought everything in and they popped the pins in and handed it back to me in less than 5 minutes. In the course of that 5 minutes, another lady tries pushing fake lab created stuff earrings on me that I never asked to see in the first place. When they came out with my watch, I said how much do I owe you...
.thinking they'd probably say nothing as it was NBD...it took all of 5 minutes. Nope they charged me $15 to pop two pins in. That is something that any other jewelry store would have never charged for. I only went there because it's close to my office. I won't go back there again.

Friendly staff, knowledgeable and a solution provider. I needed a Seiko watch fixed and they offered counsel on the cost comparisons of doing the repair or put that dollar amount towards a new watch. Then Rhonda offered to put the beautiful watch on hold for 4 -5 days for me to make a decision.

I visited Whalen Jewelers to find out the options I had with resizing 2 rings without having to cut the bands to make them smaller. The representative was very polite and professional, and instantly offered a solution she could do as I waited to make the rings about 1/2 size smaller. The first ring was ready in a jiffy and now fit perfectly. The second ring took a little longer, and was almost too snug to fit over my knuckle. The representative took out a bottle of Windex and spritz it on the ring and my knuckle, and the ring slipped right on. A very happy tip that doesn't gunk up your jewelry and helps gets those rings over knuckles. The second ring now fits perfectly, too. The store accepts major credit cards for payment. They do some adjustments in store but many repairs are "sent out". There was a lot of fine jewelry on display in locked cases. I did not look them over it check pricing as I have about all of the jewelry I can handle now. They are located in the Winn Dixie shopping center, just north of Winn Dixie and south of Bealls. There is plenty of free, off street parking.
