Attention: Rebecca Smith DVM Not a so sorry for your loss, not a sorry for never taking a glucose reading, Not a sorry for taking $232.00 for a poison to give my baby with NO warnings extended...I call that take the money and run! This was the highest order of Malpractice! Alarm bells should have gone off at the sale of this medication "Senvelgo" especially since NO warnings were given to the pet owner concerning the warnings on the pamphlet. The makers of this product believe the warnings to be so important that they are on every page of the pamphlet. This product is LEATHAL! Has anybody there even read it? Because, I would not have bought it had I known of these warnings. It should have been your responsibility to impart this warning to the pet owner so they could have made an informed decision before they spent $232.00. Chloe my longhaired Himalayan/Ragdoll died screaming thanks to you! June A. Garceau 7/22/24

If you value your pet's life, do not go. Please don't be confused with the beautiful facility and the friendly receptionists and staff. It's not worth it in the end. The costs are much higher here too than other vets. If you have a rabbit, they are not knowledgeable about them at all. Dr. James Pepen gave always ineffective antibiotics- Amoxicillin to my rabbit for an abscess, so that was a hit to his immune system but not to the abscess infection. He admitted to not specializing in rabbits. Dr. Christine Trottier, who specializes in rabbits, caused much trauma to my rabbit. He was a very affectionate and loved to lick until after this appointment. He even licked her which she took to mean that he wanted to bit her?! She massaged the abscess for about 15 mins- painful. She could have done it quickly. She took him to the back and pricked it with a small needle and tried to squeeze out the think paste like gel which was ineffective and so painful. When arriving, the abscess was marble sized and leaving, it was almost golf ball sized. She should not work with animals and seems to enjoy the abuse although she seemed friendly at first. She took a blood sample to see if he was a good candidate for surgery. Even though the results were in and written down in the computer, she refused to give them to me and the staff weren't allowed to read it to me. I waited in the waiting room from 4 to almost 6pm. A couple staff members told her I was waiting. I was the only one in the lobby for the last hour. I told them to have her call me. She did at 9:15 that night without an apology. She had recommended the most expensive and least effect options for healing. She should not work with animals. She shouldn't work with people either. Why would she refuse to give me the results of the bloodwork when she was asking me to commit to a $3,000 treatment in a couple days. I found a wonderful vet who helped my rabbit recover with less cost and with more knowledge, and kindness. It was wonderful to have him back. Unfortunately in the end, his immune system was too weak to truly fight the infection resulting in pneumonia. If I had gone to her sooner, he would be with me now. I know that for sure. As pet owners, we go to the vet for solutions not just to throw money away and get abuse for our pets. No amount of apologizes or money is worth the lives of our loved ones. I'm writing this post with complete honesty in hopes that others can avoid a similar situation.

Beautiful place. However, I took in my babygirl which i've had my entire life here because she was screaming in pain. A doctor saw her and everything and said her blood work was fine and gave her some medicine for her pain. I gave my baby the medicine as prescribed, and hours later, I notice my baby drooling, being lethargic and bleeding. I call in and someone said that the dosage was too high which was causing her to have those effects and to lower it if needed. 12 hours pass by, I gave her medicine again, and when I woke up my babygirl was gone. I found her dead right next to me. I spent $800 on her medical build plus however i'm going to spend on a cremation because I thought that we would get the help we need for her to get better. When I called in and told them this, they just told me that they have aftercare for a cremation. all her pain is gone, and she's no longer lethargic but doggy heaven just received a new member

The vet hours ans assistance to my sweet 16 girl Jaimiedog was great. Dr. Rodriquez or maybe Rios I believe she was petite and very friendly. We used them as an emergency vet. The night my best friend was ill she was there and I knew it was time to help my pup leave the pain behind. It was around 9 pm
During the process it was explained and no way would I have ever been prepared. This was July 14th 2023. I appreciated the vet. The girls upfront but as my pups leaving world hearing the profanity of the staff joke about something still bothers me. When they hears my natural cried tears as I held my pup and felt her leave this world the stars quietly Redirected themselves and really where kind.
I gave them 3 stars because if the vet wasn't so supportive an already horrible purpose would have been extremely worse. I paid got the box ect and began to move on
Recently found the same service elsewhere with same urn and paw print ect is 300 dollars less than it is here. It was my pups time and I just wanted her at peace. I justify the cost as I'd do anything for the pup who was by my family side for 16 plus years. All in all it was best for her and price was explained up front. Not sure if I could of left with meds and have her return again with the chronic issue she was having. So all in all they were good to her.

Jose Pepen, the owner, killed my dog! Pet owner be ware! I don't know what was in the liquid meds he gave my dog, but she died instantly with the first dose. Strangely, there was no vet tech attending as"Dr. Pepen wanted to go it alone" said the tech that normally attends with him. To be told that my dog would be "just fine" be charged nearly $1,000 which is a whole lot more than I was originally quoted, then to have my dog pass within the hour is beyond belief! I was quoted $85 and robbed of an extra $900 and when I called them to tell them what happened, no compassion or empathy at all! When I requested some financial consideration, they LAUGHED at me! They were going to charge me $500 for cremation and the next vet clinic down the road did the cremation for $195 and suggested I read up on Aloha reviews! I am absolutely appalled! That man is a thief and a liar. The money he steals from people will not comfort him as he burns in hell!

Samson went in for annual exam. Dr Pepen discovered a sucipious growth that ended up being a mast cell tumor. Samson received blood work, shots and scheduled for surgery. it is such a blessing he found it before it became worse.

What was hopeful today turned out to be a very sad day. Raylyn our beautiful cat had to be put to sleep as she was very sick. Yes she was 12 yrs old and not a young cat but she was a lovely cat and loving and beautiful and had attitude and spunk in her yrs on this earth . She was left by some evil people or person and ended up being cared for by myself and my neighbor. She had many yrs of love from us . Mark at Aloha was just wonderful and the doctor and all the staff were very helpful and caring today . Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Linda / Joe .... We love you Raylyn aka mama

Dr Becton has cared for several of our dogs. I found she always went above and beyond to help our senior dogs. I know their lives were extended from her care. Thank you!!!!

Our dog was diagnosed with Lymphoma. The first vet we spoke to at Aloha told us the most effective form of care, the CHOP procedure, worked on a basis of 4 week rotations, and that most patients entered remission after 8-12 weeks. We decided to go through with that option. After 8 weeks and thousands of dollars spent, a different vet told us that our dog had 19 weeks more to go and the procedure is a fixed timeline. When I mentioned that we were told differently at first, they tried to gaslight us and said that was never the case. Because that information drastically impacted our decision to go through with treatment, Aloha defrauded us out of thousands. Do not take your pet here. They will rob you hand over fist.

Gotta love it when they delete Google reviews. I brought my cat due to an unexpected experience after coming back home. She was found stuck, and crying for help due to immobility. Due to her young age, and environment (she is a four year old indoor cat, with no environmental, nor nutritional changes in 1 yr.+) this was unexpected. She was brought to the nearest veterinarian clinic- Aloha Pet & Bird Hospital, immediately. My cat's symptoms were explained to the staff upon check-in, which were- loss of strength (specifically lower limbs), and acid reflux symptoms (decreased appetite, vomiting, and weight loss). Further symptoms explained were refusal to eat her food, lethargic behavior, and possible anorexia (again all provided to personnel). As any successful vet clinic, the costs were presented first in order for the owner to proceed forward with their pet's care, and make an "educational" decision in regards to their pet's medical treatment. Based on the physical examinations, Dr. Vani informed that my cat was weak (already mentioned, therefore expected), underweight (already mentioned, therefore expected), and suffering from hypothermia (newly provided information). Dr. Vani then showed the bill for more tests of which she explained to be the next steps toward finding a diagnosis. Due to the $800+ costs of care (especially immediate), diagnostic tests were performed gradually in order to rule out any medical concerns such as- urinary tract infection (UTI), the possibility of kidney stones, cancers, tumors, etc.- Fortunately, everything came back negative. Unfortunately, this also meant that no "puzzle" was solved nor planned to be. Despite the lack of diagnoses, it was recommended to either put my cat into overnight care (for the only purpose of maintaining life- no certainty of my cat's survival), or to perform euthanasia in office (cheaper option, which was available). This was instantly refused. My cat is back home and recovering. My inquiries of whether these symptoms were caused by lack of nutrients were deviated, and the recommended form of treatment (and costs) did not budge. Staff members were professional, however compassion was lacking. Maybe this lack of compassion was due to the environment they work in (working around the sick is no easy task), but I will tell you that the financial aspect did not receive the same blatant inadequacy. I have brought my dog (13 yrs. old) last year in this clinic due to symptoms of old age. Unfortunately, she passed within days after $1500+ of treatment was already paid... the additional $4000+ care was not an option for me. HOWEVER, my dog passed naturally and peacefully at home, in my arms. After I called, the Aloha clinic did an amazing job reaching out to a third-party service for her cremation needs (~$500). Despite being a retired disabled veteran with military ID, while paying for all of my dog's care I happened to overhear another front desk staff member mention a 10% benefit for military to the couple next to me. The front desk staff member working with me was not as considerate. She continued to type away, and ignored my status although she was aware of this helpful discount. Naturally I felt invalidated, and I couldn't help but lose my composure by crying when I realized that my pet was just another number. I felt like nothing less than an inconvenience to their work day. This time around, not only was this not mentioned, but after I asked, I was questioned and confronted despite it being provided on multiple government-provided IDs. I even offered to show my Dog Tags. Based on my experiences, it all just seemed to me that this clinic is either a "pay for the care" if able to provide the financial requirements, or a "it is humane to put your pet down" clinic if unable to pay. Although people referred to this clinic as "KILL-oha" Pet & Bird Hospital, I kept giving this location a chance. I really hope this review assists the clinic, and staff for that matter, with some ideas for

We brought our dogs to a different vet for eight years spent a lot of money and when one of our dogs got sick, told us to go to the emergency vet. They didn't have any availability. We brought that same dog over to ALOHA and they got us right in. I never realized how truly fantastic this office was until I got a puppy last week. He was the runt the tiniest dog I had ever seen. After watching him in our home for a day something about him seemed not quite right. My husband said I was crazy. Dr. Dan listened to me and took my concern seriously. If he had not my puppy would've been dead by the next morning. He had a blood sugar of 31 it should be over 100. The dog had to be hospitalized immediately and when I called to check on him, everyone from the girl who answered the phone to the night tech who never seemed aggravated I kept checking in ,was caring and compassionate Dr. Dan came up with a plan and we are following it This little guy who just hit a pound and has to be fed every four hours for at least the next three weeks already means so much to us. My animals will never go to any other vet. And I will forever be grateful to the staff here.
