Their customer service is a hit-and-miss scenario, sometimes you get the friendly staff members, and other days you have to deal with the grumpy ones

Pixaria I think was her name? She was one of the rudest workers I've ever encountered

I was told a delivery was not left because a person was there to receive it, after I had signed the signature form and left it in my mailbox the previous day. I called the post office to arrange delivery the next day. I received a text saying the delivery would be between 9:30 am and 1:30 pm. I patiently waited all morning until 1:30pm when I decided to track my delivery from the APP on my phone. The tracker said the package was delivered to my mailbox at 11:00am. Why wasn't it just left there the day before?

These management at this branch have been horrible for the last 3 years. They do not care to accommodate small businesses who spend money with them. I spend more money every day than the entire payroll for the whole office on postage yet I cannot get my packages scanned and I have to take 50 or more boxes every day to another city where the office is open later. Customer service is extremely poor. If you are planning to start a small business which depends on the post office please reconsider your choice of location. Howey in the Hills will not service their customers and they take pride in this.

Today is January 4th, 2019. USPS tracking said my package was delivered in the parcel locker. I get home at 5pm and see that my package is on the side of the road half a mile away from my home soaked in rain. Beyond ridiculous. Glad I saw it and stopped otherwise it would've been gone.

As much as I love the convenience that almost every community in the United States has a local post office and this cute this location provides a great experience it still baffles me that in this day and age of technology that this practice continues when no doubt there are many more efficient methods and cost effective ways to deliver the mail and provide the same services at much lower cost. The USPS is just another government agency that has refused to reinvent itself and another example of government waste. Although my experience here was great, the staff was pleasant, helpful and extremely professional does it really take a facility of this size to deliver the mail to such a small number of people, it's hard for me to believe this post office can support itself without taxpayer subsidies and can't or doesn't see a need to consolidated its operations. Think about it UPS and Fedex does mass parcel delivery without this massive infrastructure that's required to support the USPS, oh that's right they are privately held company's who must operate efficiently in order to stay in business and turn a profit. This location is one of 31,585 post office locations as of 2016 I am sure there are more now, government doesn't believe in reducing cost in most cases. The United States Postal has been operating since 1775. FedEx operating since 1970 has 1,850 Locations United Parcel Service (UPS) operating since 1907 has 581 service centers When is Amazon going to get in the game lol...
