Great place to shop ! Best customer service , Friendly staff never had an issue , Highly recommend .If you’re a coin collector Ask for Nico he’s knowledgeable about coins I even got a free coin as a gift during a promotion with my coin purchase I have been back many times since !

This place is amazing, you can buy or pawn everything in the easy way because the customer service ant the attention for the clients is the priority. In my opinion Nick is the best in my experience.

Nick is a deceiving sales men....Also he only sells silver quarters and silver dimes...All other coins are not for sell because from his words... he's going to buy them so they aren't for sell..All kinds of silver... bars and coins ..........I remember a few years back this shop was the shop to go to in homestead for a loan or coins.....Now with Mr Nick in there..... all the coins went missing because NICK the sales manager keeps the good stuff...... he also inflated the price on me twice in one day... i gladly paid because I believe in supporting my local shops....Homestead pawn and coin has GONE DOWN THE DRAIN

I collect silver coins, so wanted to check out this local shop. Nick, the manager, insisted that all bullion coins were on display. So the next few times I go in, he decides out of nowhere to bust out a clear plastic container or tote of Burnished American Silver Eagles with COA in box. I was elated and purchased a few. Came back consecutively throughout the week, looked like I wasthe only one making a dent in the stash. Now, I came back when Nick was'nt available to purchase more. The women employees lied to me and said they dont have more silver coins in the back room which was a lie because Nick the manager showed me a whole treasure trove he is hiding for himself!!! So, I was like please please check again. The employee finds them and tells me that Nick is the only one who typically handles "HIS" coins. Mind you, he works at the pawn shop as a manager, these coins are not his, but the stores. I COME BACK WHEN NICK IS AROUND, HE ASKS ME BEING NOSEY "WHAT DO I DO WITH THESE COINS IM BUYING?" I tell him collect and ALSO resell AT TIMES.... HIS DEMEANOR CHANGED COMPLETELY TO BEING JEALOUS. I NOTICE HE PRICED THE COINS FOR 35. came to buy more, and said someone came AND bought everything and has no more silver to sell to me, I CALL BULL. I noticed he flips demeanor on people fast. Its obvious he is up to no good at that pawn shop. He showed me so much silver merchandise HE STASHES in the back, so no customer ever sees it and ADMITTED HE buys the silver. He prices it fairly and buys it for himself. Hes running this shop like its his own and gets first dibbs on all the merchandise that gets pawned for cheap. He showed me a RARE cuban coin then he tells me it's not for sale, yet its in the shop.... makes no sense! He puts like 2 1kilo +5oz and a 10oz silver .999 bars on my hand so I can feel the weight, and then turns around and says he has to price them.... how many weeks does it take to price stuff PAST 1 MONTH. SAD thing is, the owner of this pawn shop does not care what NICK THE MANAGER DOES. IVE NEVER EVER ENCOUNTERED A STORE OWNER WHO SHOWED LITTLE TO NO INTEREST IN THEIR BUSINESS. THIS SHOP COULD BE GREAT, IF IT WAS UNDER GOOD INTERNAL MANAGEMENT. I WILL SAY, I WONT BE GOINGBACK AND NICK, THE MANAGER, CAN AND WILL CONTINUE RUNNING A MUCK IN THIS PAWN SHOP. HE DELIBERATELY HIDES .999 SILVER MERCHANDISE IN THE BACK ROOM, SO NO CUSTOMER SEES IT AND BUYS IT. HE PRICES IT DECENT, AND HE HIDES IT, AND IF HE DOESNT LIKE YOU once he decides to cut you off, HE WILL TELL YOU SOMEONE CAME AND PURCHASED IT ALL!!! THIS IS INSANE. HELP ME HOWARD IS MY NEXT OPTION TO UNCOVER SOME SHADY STUFF IN TERMS OF HOW HE HANDLES THE PRECIOUS METALS COMING INTO THE SHOP. IM VERY DISPLEASED AND WILL FIGHT TO CONTINUE PURCHASING .999 SILVER EVEN IF NICK THE MANAGER IS STANDING IN THE WAY OF IT. Im just a typical homesteader and like to get my local pawn shop back. Im very disheartened.

I have done business with Homestead Pawn and Coin and other Pawn Shops in the South Dade area for years that included pawning and purchasing jewelry.. I am done with Homestead Pawn and Coin on Washington Ave.....I pawned two bracelets, a diamond tennis bracelet and a two tone bracelet that was pulled out of pawn and placed on layaway...I was called to come and pick up my items.....I came down from Georgia and my tennis bracelet was gone but the other bracelet was there..I waited for 2 hours as they said they were looking for it..I even asked them to look a little longer which was like 30 min more due to it showing that it was still there.....I was given a letter stating that if they find the bracelet I can purchase it back at the price that it was sold to me...Ok all the years I paid interest and the bracelet was high end so what about replacement...I have called over 30 times to speak to Anna being that Anna gave me the letter....no response..I have left numerous messages ...No response...My number is in the computer....No contact....When Jr and the other crew was there, my jewelry never disappeared and the interactions were always professional..If you left a message, it was returned and in a timely manner...I never had a problem...I have had some very nice and expensive items placed there.... I never experienced such poor customer service and disrespect...That’s blatantly how I feel for the first time considering all the years that I have done business with Homestead Pawn and Coin......It’s been over a month now ....There has been no follow up and no resolution...At this point MY calls have ceased....

I’ve been a customer for years at this pawnshop I always had a great experience till recently I called various times and had bad experience when I call there is an employee there that seems to only speak Spanish she has a very strong accent and she hangs the phone up and leaves me talking to myself. I called because I had questions about silver coins I wanted to purchase but she seemed not to understand what I was saying and it’s the same lady that hangs up the phone every timeI call. I believe that’s very bad for business if you do not understand English or speak English properly you should just ask your co worker for help instead of hanging up the phone. I am very upset because I’ve never had this problemBefore I am a regular but i don’t know if I will be returning. It’s very unprofessional to hang up the phone on someone who brings business all the time just because you do not understand English they need to hire employees who are bilingual. After I had the phone hung up on me various times I asked my wife to call and the same lady answered and again the same result which made me furious because that went on for about three weeks since I wasn’t able to physically show up due to work.I finally(without knowing if they had coins or the types of coins I wanted) I decided to swing by but I believe the same lady that was hanging up the phone was the same one there because she didn’t understand my questions about the coins I was looking forsorry but I will not be returning there and if that was my business I would make sure every employee of mines was bilingual!
