Went on insurance plan that required a primary care physician. Previously, I was on a PPO, no referrals necessary. I have been seeing the same infectious disease doctor and endocrinologist for the past 20 years. Made an appointment, was examined by a Doctor who understood very little English. When I left, I asked the receptionist if she could send a referral to my two doctors, I needed to see them for my periodic visits. She said she would take care of it. Six weeks later no referrals. I called, she said she would take care of it. Again no referrals. Then she said I needed to come into the office for bloodwork. I told her I had my blood work completed a week before, and had my infectious disease Doctor fax her a copy. Call three more times and she said “the referrals are under consideration.“ Then I get a text that I had an appointment the following day at 3 PM. I called the office to ask about the appointment because I had not made one. She told me it was for a physical and would I like to cancel it I said yes, but I need the referrals, she said OK. When I called a few days later, she said I could not get the referrals until Dr. Rothstein examined me, and I had canceled my appointment. I lost my temper. Dr. Rothstein then sent me an extraordinarily condescending message telling me that his office is not “a referral service“ and that he would not make a referral based on what I say. This DO should understand the only reason I need him is for referrals. I have done without a primary care physician for 40 years. I like the idea of a PCP, to have a doctor to call for minor issues not related to my HIV infection or diabetes. I am switching doctors because this office is really screwed up.

Dr. Rothstein has been our doctor for many years. We find him kind, caring and concerned. He listens to us and engages in dialogue to understand our symptoms. He always explains test results in understandable terms. The office staff is wonderful and will go above and beyond to help.

Horrible customer service. Horrible staff. I went in to review a shoulder injury. Dr sent me to get annual blood work and an X-ray. I asked the Dr if it was coded as the annual, preventative blood work - he said YES. I got the prescription from the front desk and asked if it was coded as the annual, preventative blood work - she said YES. Fortunately I did not trust them and called cigna. They said the office did not code blood work under the correct code, I would have had to pay over $700. I had to go back to the doctor for a new script. I asked again if it was now coded correctly, the office manager said - well if it isn't - that's between you and your insurance, it's not our problem. Had blood work done on 12/29 and Xray on 1/4. No call from the dr to review my results and what that meant for my shoulder injury. Had to call and beg for a follow up with any results - Dr finally called on 1/25 - almost a month later. To top all this off, they overcharged me for my visit and never submitted a claim to my insurance. I had to call and ask them to submit the claim so that I could get my money refunded. They finally did submit a month after my visit. Called now that it has been paid and they hang up on me, won't return calls. Called today 2/7 requesting to speak to billing - response "we don't have billing". Really?? Finally got me to someone who says that they don't owe many anything, which is just not true. It's only $23.80 they owe me, but they owe me. Horrible. Dr Rothstein called and left a voicemail on 2/8 at 6:02 PM - “you paid us $75, your responsibility was $51.20. We WOULDN’T see you for $51.20!” Voicemail recording played to Cigna and they are investigating and will take actions.”

If clowns ran a medical office this would be it.I truly believe I was given the wrong prescription by Dr. Strimbu that almost killed me. I was told to break a time release capsule in half and that is something no one should ever do. It released the entire dose into my system in an instant causing me to seek help from a real professional. In my opinion Dr Rothstein is the most unprofessional bogus Doctor on the planet. I think this is set up as an insurance scam to book your insurance for long periods of time. I have reported him to the Healthcare Fraud Division. Going to see a doctor is something you really need to feel comfortable doing, Dr. Rothstein makes you as uncomfortable as you can be and I caught him in a lie. Truly the most unprofessional bogus medical office on the planet, amazes me someone with so many horrible reviews stays in business.

I also was in the waiting room, when that unproffessional worker treated the patient with no respect. I also know the patient and Mr. Snipes and there very nice people. Mr. Rothstein was not there so he dosen't know what happened. He did call the patient but did nothing about the matter. I saw with my own eyes the worker was annoyed because the patient said she missed printing a test on the paper the docter requested. She had a street like attitute and thats when the patient got mad, the worker then said your lucky were not in the streets like she wanted to fight. Any Docter that dosent stand behind his patients and allows that says something about his character. The patient and Mr. Snipes are no longer going to this Docter. My suggestion is to find another Docter that really cares and will listen to his patients. As of now only one patient that wrote a good review her picture is showing, no one else is. Don't bother to write me back as I wont respond. I'm furious too that a patient comes to a Docter for help and gets treated this way. so write whatever you want, what you didn't do was wrong by turning your back, your patients should come first not a worker you hired for only 3 months that tried to fight with a current patient and thats what you stood behind, I even heard her say if you have a problem with me talk to my office manager she'll do nothing about the matter Ill even write the number down for you with a very cocky attitude. simply discusting

I have been a patient of Dr Rothstein for many years and I have nothing but praise for him and his entire staff. I feel like I am visiting a friend when I show up there for an appointment. I have great confidence in his ability and best of all he listens. If I have a question about anything he will answer it. Wouldn't think of going to anyone else.
