For a supermarket chain that once prided itself on their beef, it was disheartening when they started focusing on cheaper cuts of meat that were simply USDA inspected and not graded. If you are unaware, the USDA has several grades, you can go with USDA Select, USDA Choice, or USDA Prime. I will not buy anything but USDA Choice or USDA Prime because you can definitely tell the difference. USDA. Prime is the best and USDA Choice is just under that.Winn-Dixie now puts an emphasis on their USDA Choice and they can brag again that they are the "Beef People."This particular Winn-Dixie was a pleasant overall shopping experience with a nice enough ambiance only enhanced by a friendly team.
