If you want to throw a party they will be happy to assist you. It's a beautiful wonderful place. Tina and Susan help me out so much with all the needs that I needed for the memorial reception that I had for my sister. I will definitely recommend this place if you need to hold an event.

This place is just the sweetest! Stepping inside you can literally feel the love and care of the women who have dedicated themselves to service here. The recent renovation is lovely! I go there monthly for book club. We meet the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 1 and discuss a book. I felt so welcomed by this group of ladies right away. Its such a cute place for a mid size wedding, or any event! You can see straight to the golf course and there’s tons of pretty spots on the property for pictures. Not only do you get a beautiful place for your event, but your rental fees go to a organization that directly gives it back to the community through their programs. Win win!

6-10-226pmLast night I had the opportunity to attend an event here. I live around the corner so my best option to get here is to walk. The Hollywood Women's Club had an extensive renovation that took over 2 years as well as cost over$300k. Being I live so close I pass it everyday. In the 19 years I have lived here I have attended many events here. This renovation really took them to another level. You could easily rent this place out for any event. It has an updated modern catering kitchen in the back of the house. The size could accommodate a party of 60Persons inside the house and additional with the grounds outside. Also they are setup to be ADA compliant. The house is 95 years old and is original to the city of Hollywood. Built by Joseph Young for the women of the community. The Women's Club is celebrating 100 year Anniversary this year. I met a lady last night from the membership committee and she told me how to join online. I definitely will be checking it out this weekend. This group does so much good in the community as well as it is an awesome group of women.

n the 1920's women's clubs were formed as a way give back to the community. They became a way for women to get out of the house and assert their independence. They allowed women to get involved in politics and launched the women's rights movement. The Hollywood Women's Club was founded in 1922 by The First Ladies of Hollywood. It was the first club formed in Hollywood and it predates the formation of the city itself. The club was made up mainly by the wives of the men who worked for the founder of Hollywood Joseph Young's company, the J.W. Young Organization. The women built their clubhouse in 1927 on land donated by Joseph Young. Before the economic collapse following the hurricane of 1926 there were plans in place for a Mediterranean style house that was popular at the time. After the financial collapse a more modest Classical Revival style was chosen instead at a cost of $25,000. The Club became a member of the Florida Federation of Women's Clubs in 1922 and joined the national organization, the General Federation of Women's Clubs in 1924.Like many women's clubs of the time, early club members were involved in civic projects. They donated books and founded the first town library, they held sales to get money for children's health screenings, they helped local farmers with housing and welfare, they got the Miami Telephone Co. to run a line to Hollywood providing the first telephone service, and they held a war bonds drive collecting $12,000 which was a large sum at the time.Today the club supports literacy programs, provides scholarships, hosts historic home tours, raised money to restore the clubhouse when it was found to be sinking, and along with other women's clubs in the state they participate in the support of the Special Olympics, the Hacienda Girls Ranch, Canine Companions for Independence, Roc Camp for children with cancer, Sew Much Comfort, and Heifer International. The club restored their clubhouse in 2014 by raising it, installing a new foundation, and new siding. It was designated a local historical landmark in 1985 and a National Historic Place in 1995. It is one of the few surviving Classical Revival buildings left in the city. The clubhouse can be rented from the Women's Club for private events. The club is almost 100 years old. For all of those years the women of Hollywood have been coming together to improve their local community as well as the state of Florida. Women's clubs have a legacy of helping their communities and it's nice to see that this one is still going strong today.

The Hollywood Women's Club came by our nursing home over Christmas and blessed every one of our residents. This is an awesome organization that does big things for the community.

Modest little space for rent for events. I went to a friend's going away party here. It was a pleasant and unassuming space. Well maintained but older. Street parking appears to be the only option, but quiet neighborhood and no difficulty there. Might be a reasonable place to rent if the price is right for a smaller event.

Very cute, rustic place. Excellent for a beach or vintage themed event. Doesn't hold a lot of people but the care takers are very helpful.
