**********Warning to AVOID THIS COMPANY***** I am a Business owner based in Port Orange Fl. We have had many towing experiences over our 15 yrs in business servicing Hospitals, restaurants and Retirement Communities , with our fleet of Trucks in the Foodservice Industry. THIS IS WHAT HAPPEN They towed one of our vehicles from a commercial business Complex at Oak Center Business Park 9/17 . The Vehicle was removed because they said had a expired tag but had a police officer checked the tag they would have found out it was valid thru 2026. There was no warning notification sent to us stating they removed this vehicle from the private property or notifation of its removal to us from our property manager. When I called Universal they refused a credit card for payment and told me they only had to have a cash only payment. This company sounds like a scam buy taking only cash no cashiers check for recording this incident on my books and does not even accept Credit Card which I offered. This is unheard of in business regardless of the issue of the tow. As a businessman of long standing in our community I would avoid this company at all costs . especially if you value your pocketbook

They are corrupt crooks. I was on my way to do volunteer work and stopped for a refreshment. I was a paying customer at an establishment, parked in their parking lot in a good safe spot. I was inside for 14 minutes and when I came out my car was gone. I have time stamped pictures and a surveillance video proving that they were waiting for me to leave my car to take advantage and make easy money and towed my car away. Inside the establishment I was never notified that it was being towed. The establishment said they never even placed a call for it to get towed. They refused to give me my car unless I had $160 cash on my person. 2 people were there, the driver name was Alex and the manager. They claimed they didn't think I was there to buy anything. Even after showing them my purchase receipt, I asked if they really expected me to pay them for a mistake that they made and both the manager and driver said that they didn't care and wanted me to pay up. Because I spend most of my mont doing volunteer work, I didn't even have the money to get my car out, I had to beg someone to loan me the money. The police looked at the evidence, agreed that they were corrupt and that I should make a civil case against them. Upon further investigation, there have been dozens of cases like this from this particular company.

Universal Towing used our driveway without permission to load a vehicle directly across the street from us. I came outside and the driver said that she thought no one was home. That's why she didn't knock and ask first. Their tow vehicle dripped a lot of oil onto our driveway. The driver poured a little dish soap on the oil stain and scrubbed for a couple of minutes, but it did little good. I called the office and sent photos of the mess, but was rudely told, more or less that it's not their problem. Fortunately, I was able to get help from a friend who has a pressure washer and after working on it for about 3 hours, it is better, but still has a faint stain we could not remove. I would recommend that you do NOT let them use your driveway for the truck may be the same oil leaking one that was used here. I would give zero stars if possible.

Passed me in a 40 mph zone going easily 50-55 (in front of a middle school no less) and ran this red light at Venetian Bay. Obviously in a hurry for nothing. Below are pictures with the license plate (E7048D) and a picture of him picking a car up. Just wow

Terrible terrible company. Illegal towing and the WORST staff. Be aware of unauthorized towing.

Very rude service when dealing with this company. We spoke to two different employees who both gave us contradicting information as why our vehicle was towed. They initially stated they couldn't tell us, then stated "private property" but come to find out later, there was no tow order given by the property owner. They saw our vehicle and just picked it up. Judging by all the other negative reviews here and on the other review sites this seems to be a VERY common practice for them to extort $160 from hard working people. They laughed at us and even congratulated us when we paid them the cash to get our vehicle out of the yard. Disgusting. Do you research on the BBB and other sites as well before using them, I would avoid this company if you can.

Be aware of this company, the tow truck driver I dealt with was completely rude and unprofessional. When I called into the office to see if this is how they treated customers I was once again met with hostility.

Our tow truck driver was absolutely wonderful. He came and got us in Daytona and took us to Pep Boys. Highly recommend this company!!!
