If I could give zero I would. This location is a danger to you so find another pharmacy. They filled my script with the wrong medication and damn near killed me. On top of that, if you take any sort of controlled medication don't leave until they recount the bottle in front of you. Several times I have called to report them to the state attorney for shorting controlled meds. Always 5~6 pills short! And they alway have the gall to talk down to you like a junkie. They're also about to get into serious trouble with Medicare for fraudulently filling scrips that you may no longer take. I've personally reported them... Please don't fill anything here...Walgreens Corp...if you read this you better clean house or close it down before they cost you millions!

Since Aldi's bought Winn Dixie, they decided to close down the pharmacies. Walgreens purchased Winn Dixie accounts. On September 19th I got a call from wd pharmacy informing me they were closing that day. All of my, and my son's, rxs would be sent to Walgreens. On September 22 I got a call from a Walgreens associate. We went over refills and when what was due, as she didn't realize I had picked some up from wd already. I went over my medications to be sure the controlled meds would not be a problem. She continued and enrolled me in text alerts. A couple if days later I got mail for both my son and I with pharmacy info and fridge magnets. I took a magnet with me to my Dr and hour away on Oct 4th. I made sure my Rx was electronically sent to my "new pharmacy".Half way home I get a message there is a problem with my Rx. I called and that's when they decided to inform me that they don't take my insurance!!. Apparently they don't take most Medicaid hmos. When I asked why no one told me when I spoke with someone before, the woman was very abrupt saying she didn't have authority, to call my insurance or pay cash. For two weeks the pharmacy has had my information. All of it. THEY purchased my account, I did not choose them. I'm sure there are plenty of other disabled people on SSI, kids on Medicaid, that have not yet been informed in any way. If Walgreens purchased these accounts, it's their responsibility to let people know in a timely manner they don't accept their insurance. Especially if they are in contact with people gathering information. Waiting until people are expecting to pick up medication is careless and no way providing any standard of care. There are so many meds that cannot just be stopped for a few days while this gets sorted. Mental health meds, thyroid and other hormone replacement, controlled medications. Do better Walgreens. You know right now you're holding a lot of accounts of people on Medicaid hmos and they have no idea you won't fill their meds. Shameful to be so careless with human beings health.

We were at this location to get my daughter her second covid vaccine. No one greeted us when we got to the counter. A lady had to tell the balding man to help us (I think his name is Paul). You could tell no one got along there, they were bickering back and forth. Paul reluctantly stopped what he was doing and helped us. This was great because it seemed like we were an issue just by being there. Paul checked us in and got us the paperwork to fill out, but we needed a pen. There were two red cups on the counter, one marked clean pens, and the other marked dirty pens. There were no pens in the clean cup. He then looked at me and asked “Do you mind a dirty pen?” First off we are getting a vaccine for a virus that is easily transmitted. Second, how hard is it to clean a few pens! There were sani wipes behind him! This is ridiculous and completely unprofessional. I told him no we would prefer a clean pen. He then told me if we wouldn’t use a dirty pen then he would have to go get a pen and it would be dirty because he would have to hand it to us. I would prefer a pen handed to me by him rather than one sitting in a cup with multiple other dirty pens, the employee is required to wash his hands and use hand sanitizer, most customers do not practice good personal hygiene. This guy obviously doesn’t take this virus seriously and this makes me think that Walgreens is not taking this seriously either. I will not be shopping at this location ever again and I’m considering never using Walgreens ever again. I am extremely disappointed with the experience I had that day.

Tom Terrific here with another honest business review. Thanks to the Tampa Bay Times for their request for an interview. THEY DID IT AGAIN! Let me explain. I was checking out locations to get a prescription changed over from the Clearwater Publix. Mind you - only checking to see if they could get mine transferred, checking on the price and so forth. I specifically said "DO NOT TRANSFER ANYTHING TO YOUR PHARMACY UNTIL I GET A NEW DOCTOR." THESE IDIOTS DID IT TWICE TO ME. They took my prescription from Publix and made it their own on two occasions. I don't like this location anyway because they have one female here that has a BOOGER hanging out of her nose. What's that you say, Tom? She has one of those nauseating septum bullrings that hang down to their upper lip that looks like snot dripping out of her nose. POST NASAL DRIP!!! I swear to God i have no idea why someone would do that but i just CANNOT look at it. It turns my stomach. I get physically sick. So once i saw her i was done with this place. Unless you love to look at dripping boogers, leave this place alone.

Horrible service. Not helpful at all. Won't even answer their phones. Finally called the front desk to get through. That lady said she would page them and tell them to answer the phones!!! They need to go into a new profession.!

Ever since my insurance made Walgreens my only option their service went to the dogs. I have to wait days for prescriptions at times and they are rude as hell. The pharmacist once refused to fill my script on a friday, from my "oncologist" [ cancer pain med} saying the medicine could kill me. he was wrong but I suffered and I was left in pain all weekend because the doctor was gone for the weekend. The doctor raised hell when he called the pharmacy later. This pharmacy is ter

After a change in insurance I had requested a transfer of prescriptions from Winn Dixie to Walgreens for my daughters diabetes supplies since Walgreens and CVS were the only 2 pharmacies the insurance had listed on their members page. On 8/2 I had not heard anything about the prescriptions so I called to verify the transfer had been completed. The woman I spoke to said no and that she would get it taken care of the next morning. Today, 8/6, I went to Walgreens to pick up the prescriptions (test strips, lancets, and Novalog Insulin) only to find out that the transfer hadn't been done still after I was assured it would be taken care of no later than 8/3. The woman working called Winn Dixie and determined the fax number was incorrect so Winn Dixie got the correct number and faxed it over immediately. After waiting another hour, the pharmacist, Henry, informed me that he couldn't fill the insulin because there were no directions. At this point Winn Dixie's parhmacy was closed and I informed Henry. He said that he had just spoken to the pharmacist a couple minutes prior so he would try and reach him. I know Winn Dixie's pharmacy shuts down their phone lines promptly at 8 so that was a lie. Since the pharmacist was too lazy to do his job over the 4 days between the 2nd and 6th by following up on why the prescriptions were not received, my daughter has to go without her insulin. Henry had the nerve to get an attitude with me when I pointed this out. This pharmacy staff is extremely unprofessional and Henry doesn't need to be in the position he is in and neither does the woman who was there. Both have been incompetent in handling this matter and this isn't the first issue we have had here but unfortunately this is the only pharmacy that's open late enough to fit my schedule that accepts my insurance. Corporate will be hearing from me.
