Place sucks. Guy behind the counter was Rude... Would not let me use the restroom after spending $30 because I felt bad for the business.... Entitled attitude... No selection... No customer service skills... When I go to a baitshop, I like to see a nice helpful person... Not a person I preceive as being mad at the world.... I use to go to this spot more than 15 years ago and it was nothing like this... Last thing I want in the morning, before a fishing trip, is bad vibes... Will never spend my disposable income in j&j bait and tackle... Little did I know there was a little bait shop in the water after the boat ramp.

Terrible closing at 6pm according to Google but door's were being locked at 5pm then we were charged $20.76 for summer time shrimp and a small box of squid. I give this place a -3 review.

Idk what other reviews are about, real nice guy bought more then I thought I would cause of it. Asked questions about salt water fishing and was very helpful. I'm from Midwest.

Owner Jim very nice with great selects of jumbo shrimp and all the tackle gear you need for your next trip rods reels buckets lines hooks weights bobers and nice wide selections with there own polarized sunglass line that's half the price of Costas nice shades ?

Just reading the reviews and seeing the owners responses.... I will Def not go here..... He seems to have a very condescending attitude... customer service seems to be about 85% of repeating customers if you don't have great customer service people are not going to come in I have no problem going another mile down the road., I'm a Country Boy from the state of Virginia that moved down here 3 years ago because of work and haven't had a chance to go fishing at all and I feel like he would just get irritated that I would be asking questions about salt water fishing.... Sorry for the negative review but u need to be humbled

I normally don't review bait and tackle shops, but this one deserves it. This tackle shop immediately brought on memories of my childhood in Alabama. The owner was very welcoming and had a cool attitude, even in the heat... ? (Dad joke) he was knowledgeable about the area that we were looking to fish. The shop had PLENTY of supplies for catching fish and fighting hunger. This spot is well worth your time, even if it's just to say Hi. Easy 10/10

A very clean bait shop for all of your fishing needs. Live bait, rods, reels, line, nets, cold drinks...everything you want or need. Located very near the Anclote Pier.Great friendly and knowledgable staff.
