Right now [3am] Buddy's is closed. The staff their Sam (owner) and Chuck (clerk) are friendly and helpful. It's always a good experience whenever I go in. I generally shop there about 4-5 timesal a week. Only things that could make it better would be to scratch off a big winner and to get Venom - Black Mamba in stock again.

Great local store, serving area for years. Always friendly, competitive prices. Not sure what happend with the other commenter, as that's not cool at all, and I do beleive her account of what happened. The owner has had some challenges in past with several part time helpers, that were not there very long. I can only figure that was the case. The owner is a very nice person, I've gone there for over 7 years, several times a week. He knows all his regular customers, is always friendly, caring and engaging. If your in the area, a good place to stop in for beer, cigarettes, lotto etc.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could 👎 The cashier was really disrespectful, yelled at me in front of other clients just because I asked for mega million tickets and wanted to pay with my debit card, he then yelled at me because he said that I had to pay in cash or he would lose money, I didin't have a problem in buying more tickets or taking money out on his atm machine because I didin't have cash at the moment but I felt really bad and embarrased that he felt the need to yell at me instead of saying it nicely. He just lost bussiness with me and my family that moved around that area recently.

I've been to all the local convenient stores and all of them know me, no matter the nationality of the workers/ owners,, because all of them know me so well. This was by far the WORST service I've had yet. I will admit I am the FIRST person to think of when it comes to forgetfulness... However I went in to grab cigarettes from Buddies, when I got in I thought I should probably get a lighter while I'm here. I grabbed one, stuck it in between me and the counter that way that if I left it would fall to the floor and I would remember it. At first the cashier was nice, but instead of being asked if I would like to buy the lighter that I had on me I was TOLD to put the lighter back or to pay for it. I would have paid for it except his tone... his attitude.... was very off putting. It actually stunned me for a second, I'm not used to people whom I've been very courteous to affront me like that. I am not one for confrontation, so I pulled it out and set it on the counter next to me (out of his, the cashiers, sight) and told him I didn't have one... my gods... I was embarrassed out of my skull and really didn't know how to react... I've done the very same thing (grabbed a something and held onto it until I got the the cash register) and NO ONE has said a thing. When I didn't immediately say anything he actually began to accuse me of stealing the lighter... For goodness sake I understand that you may deal with low lives.. and often, but that does not mean you need to assume every person is one.. the man could have asked if I had a lighter that I needed to pay for before just telling me to put it back. I'm sorry that everyone has a busy job/ life and not everyone remembers everything. I grabbed the lighter, put it in between me and the counter... just as I opened my mouth to ask him if he could ring a lighter up ( I already had it at that point). He began to accuse me of stealing... I can understand the assumption... the neighborhood isn't that great...(Back story here) So... instead of startling a customer that has stolen only one thing in her life at age 13 and was told to bring it back to the manger who put the fear of our legal system in her veins) but that didn't mean that he had to react that way. I give this place a 90% THUMBS DOWN!!! I would have just bought it when it fell to the ground and I remembered it... however I never got the chance. I hate you. I lost 30 minutes of work time thanks to you.
