My husband opened a business account at the holiday branch in December of 2023. He deposited a sizable customer check to open the account and checks and debit card work all ordered. By January there were still no checks and there was still no debit card. My husband called and was told that the debit card was sent back to them by our post office for some reason and they had mailed it back out to him. By February still no checks and no debit card. He called and was told that they came back to them again and he told them to hold them for him, but they'd already mailed them again. This time they also had his post office box so he was checking both daily waiting for his checks and his debit card. Meanwhile he was receiving his bank statements. Come March, still nothing and he called again. Melanie was very condescending and acted like my husband didn't know what he was talking about about. She told him that he never talked to anyone about checks or cards because HE NEVER ASKED FOR CHECKS OR A DEBIT CARD SO THEY NEVER ORDERED THEM! I've never in my life heard such an excuse. To put the blame on the customer?! I'd heard all of the conversations including the one with Melanie. Meanwhile we'd been driving down to deposit checks all this time and couldn't use the account without driving to the bank, going inside, telling a long story about how he didn't have a card yet, showing id and then...deposit or withdrawal. What a pain in the rump. So we drove down to deposit one last check and to try to speaksomeone again about the debit card. It was fine until Melanie stepped out and saw us. She refused to acknowledge my husband who tried to just ask her to please order cards. I think she was thrown off that he had someone with him. She walked up and spoke to the teller then left. When we got up to her, she said my husband didn't have an account with them and had to bring the check to OUR BANK. This was the only bank my husband has ever used. That was it. It took 20 minutes for her to find his account because he didn't have a debit card and Melanie wouldn't come over to help. We deposited a lot of money with their bank and now we do somewhere else. It's still March and we are happily using our checks our debit card and our credit card, not to mention theow interest business loan. Things are good and we're great now ther we broke free from that money trap. And I'm a really patient person too.

Avoid Truist for all accounts. Business and personal. They're just awful. Most unorganized financial institution I've had the displeasure of banking at. I'm running back to Chase Bank.

BUSINESS BANKING DO NOT OPEN AN ACCT!!!I HAVE A BUSINESS BANK ACCT AT TRUIST. I DON'T USE IT AS MY PRIMARY ACCT SO I DON'T CHECK IT ALL THE TIME, ONE DAY I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM TRUIST IN MY OFFICE STATING THAT MY ACCT WAS OVER DRAWN. I WENT DOWN DEPOSITED MONEY TO BRING THE ACCT CURRENT ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT MY CARD WAS BEING USED BY A THIRD PARTY ON AMAZON. I FILED A COMPLAINT IMMEDIATLY STATING THOSE WERE NOT MY CHARGES AND THAT MONEY WAS STOLEN FROM MY ACCT. I ALSO FILED A POLICE REPORT.TRUIST REFUSES TO HELP ME RECLAIM MY STOLEN FUNDS EVEN THOUGH IT'S A MASTER CARD BUSINESS ACCT, BECAUSE BY THE TIME I FOUND OUT I WAS JUST PASSED THE 30 DAY POINT. TRUIST WILL NOT EVEN CREDIT ME THE MONEY BACK THEY IMPOSED ON ME FOR HAVING A NEGATIVE BALANCE. THE WORST THING IS THEY CONTINUED TO LET CHARGES OCCUR AFTER MY ACCT WAS ALREADY OVER DRAWN SO THEY COULD CHARGE ME MORE PENALTY FEES. ALL THIS COST ME ABOUT $1600.00. I'M FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE FLORIDA ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE AGAINST TRUIST BANK. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR BANKING NEEDS!!

extremely bad customer service. i transfered my money from a another bank to truist and it took them 2 week to release my money. yesterday, i used zelle to send for $400. i had to call the 800 number for a pending payment. they asked me what was the service for and where and the first name, last name and if the person was at my home. seriously?????????????sending 4 times a security number on my phone by text, account number, social security...i understand that security is important but this bank goes to another level that frustrate customers for sure. do they really to know the reason why i have to send $400???????????????????????

Not this exact Truist bank but the company as a whole . I'm 50 years old . I opened an account with this company about a year ago and it has been endless issues and POOR customer service. The issues I have had getting my own money out of this bank ( company ) is ridiculous. We moved recently and the nearest Truist bank is an hour away and after battling to get my money to my children and grandchildren before Christmas is pathetic. So now I'm taking that trip to take my money to another bank .

On Saturday my card got stuck in the new ATM. There was no number to call on machine or Bank. Website says customer service is available till 5, called at 4 30 All I got was automatic system also I could find anything about this problem on the website. I had to go home and get a pair of pliers to pull it out. This needs to be addressed so others may know what to do.
