We were very disappointed. They have blocked off steps where you used to walk into the water. They have also blocked the entrance to the water where little kids could play in the sand. They took down the dock area where you could walk and get in the area for kayaks and canoes. They have let cattails and grass take over at what was the shallow swim area. They took away picnic tables except for about 5 which are under the covered areas. There's very little space to sit and watch the kids swim. Anyone with balance or walking issues cannot get down into the water. Lots of roots sticking up everywhere. There was no one in the shack accepting payment. We put ours in the honor box. We watched quite a few people not pay. I don't know why the area is in such bad condition. We were very disappointed. We've been there in the past so we know how it was. Port a potties....Bathrooms closed.

As you come up to the state park. You may think you're at the wrong place and pass it. I reserved a camp site there and was the worst camping experience I have had. The entrance is a mile of nothing but a sandy washboard dirt road. It is very tight. 25ft plus rv wouldn't fit in the site. Every site is washed out, very uneven, and all the hookups are on the wrong side of the camper. NO DUMP STATION IS AVAILABLE, AND NO SEPTIC IS AVAILABLE. Also, the shower and bathroom area was out of order. They had Porta potties on site. Overall, the spring water swimming area was the only thing positive about this park. Hopefully, florida state park officials will see this and improve the standards of their beautiful parks they have available.

Easy to get in and out. But it's a little dirty and has a bad smell right now.

Beautiful springs, smaller and less busy than some of the more popular springs like Ichetucknee and Rainbow Springs. The drive to get to it is on a dirt road and may throw your alignment off on your car if you don't have a truck or SUV. It was pretty bumpy, we tried to drive really slow with our 2004 Toyota Corolla. We finally got there and enjoyed the natural beauty of this place.
Restrooms: Clean and well maintained

This might be the worst camping area in Florida. If the 1.5 mile dirt road entrance doesn’t damage your vehicle or camper you’re lucky. The bathrooms are the absolute worst I’ve ever seen in any State Park in any State. They were absolutely GROSS. Florida should be ashamed to claim this park as their own. The camp sites are disgusting and tight. There are pot-holes everywhere and if you happen to show up at night…..good luck not damaging your camper trying to navigate thru park. I camp all around Florida and have no issues roughing it for a few days but this place needs to be shut down and renovated. The spring is nice but the former wooden boardwalk around the water is gone from a previous storm and looks like an abandoned State Park in the show “the walking dead”. Stay away until they dump some serious money into the park’s infrastructure. Oh….and no dump station within 12 miles.
