I have to say I’m impressed with Roberto from the plumbing section knowledge, customer service and patience. He was the only one who offered to help while other employees seemed to busy on their phones. Give this man a raise. My visit was on 5/24. Thank you Roberto.

I can’t begin to tell you how much money I spent at this location and never had an issue until I was in there trying to return a Malibu light that was defective. I must’ve lost my receipt but all I really wanted was a store credit so I could get a new one that worked. I approached the sales clerk, and was told that I was not allowed to return or exchange anything without a receipt. I have returned a few items before in the past both with and without a receipt without any problems, but somehow this location has a new policy that will not allow any returns. I explained to the clerk that I was a good customer and shopped there quite frequently and never had an issue. She pointed to the sign with the stores, return policy. The sign said it was up to the “discretion” of the store as to whether to allow a credit or refund if the customer didn’t have a receipt. I asked for the manager, and finally spoke to a manager named Rosa. This woman came out and ignored me for what seemed like 10 minutes until she finally begrudgingly asked me what the issue was. I explained what it happened and asked if she could look me up in the system to see if the purchase I made was in the system, even though I paid cash. She then asked me for my drivers license and credit cards which I happily handed to her. After doing whatever she was doing for what seemed like an eternity, she said she could not return or exchange my item. Apparently, she decided that I was not honest enough looking for her to use her “discretion” and allow me in exchange. Can you believe it? After asking me for all kinds of ID and keeping me there for over 20 minutes I still was not allowed to exchange the item I purchased. I must admit after all of this, I felt like I was being treated as if I was a shoplifter or a criminal. I’m a 66-year-old disabled man who spends quite a bit of money at this location and now I was being treated as if I was a shoplifter or some kind of common criminal looking to get over on a store for a $20 Malibu light. I must say, this manager’s horrible, unfriendly attitude and lousy demeanor didn’t help matters. I did learn that in the future to hang onto my receipts or pay with a credit card. Needless to say, I won’t be returning to this store or spending any more money at this location. Apparently this location is being “penny wise and dollar foolish.” I may not even be returning to any Lowe’s if this is the way, they treat their customers. By the way, I’ve never had this kind of problem or rude customer service in any Lowe’s I’ve ever been in other than this one.
Update: The customer service number that Lowe's provided in their response to my post was a national customer service number and guess what ....I called and waited for a rep for what seemed like an eternity and eventually got disconnected. Seems like the people at Lowe's don't really care about their customers.That sums it up!
