I had my original custom suit made over 10 years ago. It had over 300 dives and I gained 10 pounds so I decided it was time for an update. I've had the second suit made and love the way it came out. It can be a lengthy process to get the suit made. It probably took 12 weeks with one fitting for the second suit. It's a three mm and keeps me warm. I have very small shoulders and waist and large hips so nomoff the rack suit ever fits me right. It is well worth the money for me to have a suit that I can get on and off easily. It is true that they are very busy and you have to keep on top of them, but overall I am very satisfied.

I purchased my first Easy on wetsuit from Connie prior to the pandemic. So when I needed to make alterations because I lost so much weight, I new I had to jump on a plane and head to her shop. What I love about Connie is that she’s a straight shooter. I also bought with me another suit that I was going to add pockets. She took one look and told me straight! “It doesn’t fit you and you will be throwing good money away” she could have easily taken the money for the pockets, but she strongly advised against as she said “ throwing good money away” thus is why I only wear Connie’s Easy on Wetsuits! She’s the best!!!

I could not have asked for better service. I happened to be in the area from out out of state and Marilyn had a suit prepped for fitting on two days' notice. She made the adjustments and shipped it. The fit is perfect and I cannot wait to try it out. The fit is better than anything I have ever had and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Wetwear.

This suit fits like a glove. There is no doubt the seamstress is talented. However I was guaranteed I would be warm in cold water (dive in Mass). And I've never been so cold as I have using this suit in local waters. I'm warmer in a 7 mil wetsuit. What this company considers a 7 mil is actually a 5 mil by local standards.I asked for a refund and never got a reply. This company has no business outfitting divers north of NC ( ie north of where the gulf stream is close to shore).

Connie is great. I contacted Wetwear to custom fit a new wetsuit I got and the help Connie provided is above and beyond 5 stars. If you have any wetsuit needs I recomend to come see them. I learned how to propperly put a wetsuit on (after years of using them) and we both came with some great customization ideas for the small little issues I got while kitesurfing.

Went back to Connie at Wet Wear, in June, to get measured for a new full suit. I stressed to her that I didn't need the new suit until late September. She's pretty busy and I knew it was going to take some time. She was done with the suit in about 3 weeks. I drove over to the shop and had my first fitting. The fit felt great, but Connie wasn't pleased with something on the back shoulder area. She chalked the suit up on the back and then I wanted her to add some pockets. So she chalked up where I wanted the pockets. 2 to 3 weeks later she called to let me know the suit was done. It took me over a month to get over to the shop for the final fitting. WOW! I don't what she did at shoulder area, but the fit is fantastic. Well done, Connie! Why a custom wetsuit from Wet Wear? I actually read about Connie's suits on this Scubaboard back in 2015. Somewhere in the thread someone mentioned having bad knees and how long leg zippers has helped with his knee issues. 27 years with FD has given me the opportunity to have 4 back surgeries, 1 surgery on my right shoulder and torn meniscus in each knee. Since my body isn't as flexible as it use to be, I needed a suit to go on easily. This one does.My first suits were made in early 2016, a full and a shorty. With 600 dives on the full suit it was time for a new one. I will probably order a shorty in the next couple of months. I have fully abused these suits. Left them in the sun. Hung them up soaking wet. Stored them in my truck or in the bed. Accidentally drug them across a coral driveway. Pretty much everything you are not suppose to do with a wetsuit. In all that I had developed only two 1/4" holes in the armpit and right shoulder area. And only one thread in the right wrist cuff area was starting to unravel. That is a quality and durable suit. What's the cost of a custom suit? My new suit cost me $673. My friends that are DMs and Instructors continue to buy off the rack wetsuits from our Big Box store in town. They think it is a discount store. Okay, whatever. Every year I hear them complain about the stitching coming apart. The shoulder material breaking down. Rips next to the zipper or a zipper coming apart from the suit. It doesn't fit like the last one. That would be because the suits are being made in another 3rd world country this year. By May or June they're throwing their suits in the trash. Every year they plunk down another $200 to $300 for a new suit. They are actually spending more over time than I do. Thank you, Wetwear.comRick M.

Picked up my Custom Fitted Wetsuit last week. What a difference! I am one of the MANY that "off the rack" wetsuits are never going to fit comfortably. Getting on a wetsuit went from being exhausting and time consuming, to being as easy as putting on fins and a snorkel. WetWear has an easy process, and I will never buy off the rack again! Great experience!!! Thanks Connie. Ron WOhio

5 Stars ALL DAY LONG! Connie was awesome to work with, my company, Lime design, creates new products, she helped me hit a really important deadline. Connie literally saved me on a custom project I'm working on for one of my bigger clients.

I have been a loyal customer of Wetwear for over 10 years. I had to replace my old 5mm suit with a new one , because I actively dove it for over 9 years. Connie whipped out another great and perfectly tailored suit for me. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a proper fitting wetsuit that will last and is warm.

All in all, my experience with WetWear was extremely poor. Just glance through the reviews on their Facebook or yelp pages and you'll see a lot of similar stories. I went against literally everyone's advice and ordered anyway because my last experience with them was OK and literally all they had to do this time was cut one old hood apart and copy it.I placed an order in November in 2016 and ever since then, they treated me like a nuisance and repeatedly ignored phone calls, voicemails and emails. Only after I had a friend say something in public to them at a trade show did they ever seem to give a **** about my transaction. All I needed them to do was take the hood I gave them (that they made) and cut it apart and duplicate it, add one inch to the neck and make two of them. This took one and a half years to accomplish. And when I got the first round of hoods that weren’t anything like what I asked for, the guy that works there (Gene I belive his name is) lied to me and told me he did duplicate my hood despite the seams being all wrong and the forehead being way off. I had to send them pictures of me wearing the old one to confirm. No apology was offered (a running theme with WetWear). It would be another year before they could make this right. And after it all they tried to charge me even more money for shipping while claiming they charged me half of what they actually did. I’m scared to look at my credit card statements to see if they’ve been charging me for shipping every time, as they tried to do this without my knowledge and only called when the card was declined (they had this card on file from the original order and it actually expired in the time it took to deliver my product). Connie actually told me she only charged me for one hood as a courtesy for taking so long. I showed her my credit card receipt showing I paid $291 back in November 2016 and proving otherwise, another email ignored and I have been offered no refund. My hoods finally arrived in May 2018 and I wore one on a dive at Wakulla and it’s fine. For two hoods that are meant to be identical, they are not. The seam change I requested on the chin only exists on one hood. The other hood has a totally different seam situation. They both fit slightly different. And one of the hoods has a small piece of neoprene spliced in on the neck. I guess because it was too small and they needed to add some neoprene without remaking the hood? All in all, I’m glad I didn’t need the money or the hoods or I would’ve handled this a lot differently. If it was an expensive custom wetsuit, I’m not sure how I would’ve reacted.BUYER BEWARE

So the suit I got was great, Being with a Public Safety Team the Zippers are the best thing after sliced bread (time), BUT THE TURN AROUND TIME 5 MONTHS AND 4 FITTINGS IS NOT WORTH IT. If I was not local and could just drive over I would have charged back my card and canceled my order. again GREAT suit, but not worth the wait.
