Rented a kayak from the Gibsonton "General Store & Market" for a paddle down Bullfrog Creek. Fantastic customer service! Friendly. Helpful. Had a nice paddle into the Bay, explored various branches off the creek, mangroves, and saw plenty of Florida nature. At one point, we got "lost" on our way back and the owner, Shawn (Sean), a phone call away, was willing to help navigate back (it was our fault - should have paid closer attention to our route - but we found our way). It was a nice day to be "lost" (full sun, 73 degrees)! Highly recommend the General Store & Market for your next Kayak rental. We will use them again soon!

Nice spot to put in the kayaks and fish Bullfrog creek, quick access to mangroves! We caught red fish, sheepshead caught on shrimp! Owners don't charge a fee to launch your own kayak and have plenty of kayaks or paddle boards to rent! Also have a nice store to buy any extra needed supplies. I definitely would recommend to come check out this place with great fishing, awesome views, and a nice store that also sells locally made products as well from shirts to honey!

We rented kayaks. The owner was so friendly. It was an overcast day & he checked the weather to make sure we were good to go. He helped us get in & out of the kayak safely. We had the most amazing time! The scenery is so beautiful & we even spotted a dolphin! I am definitely going back again… this place is a best keep secret.

Had a great experience today Kayaking with my Son! Shaun was very helpful and accommodating! We got some shades that were half off since we forgot our! Great time on the water today! We will definitely be back with friends! ? Love the store too such unique finds!

Great place with everything you need for a day on the water, or just getting stuck in traffic on 41. Don’t stop anywhere else for snacks on 41. The owner treats you like family the moment you walk in. Cheapest ice I have found. The place is clean and has everything you need. They support many local businesses as well!!!

Very friendly place. We brought our own kayaks and put in right on their ramp. He was very helpful about offering hour by hour weather/wind report. There was some great kayaking in the mangroves but we avoided the bay as it was so very windy. The wind gusts were just under 20 MPH so we had to use caution. We also got some of their yummy boiled peanuts. We will be back!

Awesome experience renting kayaks! Norman and the owner were extremely friendly and great to talk to! Will come back again! Bring some cash to shop around the store everything is super cool!

Great place nice people. I go kayak fishing there as often as I can . Last time I took my daughter with me and rented a kayak for her . There was a very low tide but still enjoyed the bonding time with my daughter . And the guys are very welcoming. They have frozen bait , rash guards , snacks , hooks beverages and much more . It’s now my launching place .

We wanted to do some salt water kayaking near our vacation rental and saw this place as we drove by. The owner was super nice, helped us launch and gave suggestions of where to go. It would be really fun with a larger group to paddle around the mangroves - we went all the way to the bay and back in about 2 hours with time to linger here and there. Snacks and beverages from the store made for a great time!

Sean was super friendly! The store is clean and contains several handmade products like soap and candles. They sell CBD and vaping products, but more CBD than vapes at the moment. Sean is working to increase his vaping varieties. They also offer a military discount.

Cool locally owned general store! Great vibe with a little of everything. A lot of unique items for sale. Friendly staff. Great place to rent or launch kayaks!
