Absolutely outstanding care and attention. During a routine visit, the doctor discovered that my husband had an eye injury that needed immediate attention. The surgeon was in the office, and made time for us, in fact stayed until after the clinic closed. Had us on the surgery schedule the next day. Everything ran smoothly and very timely. The doctors and staff were professional, communicative, and caring. They even came in on a Saturday and a holiday for follow-up checks. Could not ask for a higher level of care. We are very fortunate to have this facility and these doctors in Gainesville.

I take my grandmother to her appointments, and every appointment something happens. It’s either cancelled (which has happened several times), another time the machine they needed for exam was broken but nobody let us know until we got here and waited or waiting over 3 hours to be seen. It’s clear to see from all these reviews that the majority of patients feel the same but nothing has been done to fix it!

LaTrina, the supervisor of billing, is not a kind person. Extremely rude and unhelpful. Should not be working in any type of medical environment. I have medicaid medically needy since the beginning of January, & apparently, it does not show up in their portal. I have seen other providers that will submit my bill to medicaid regardless & it gets paid, but she refuses to do the minimum of even submitting it at my request. Her reason being "your medicaid does not show up on our portal". Literally going to start inquiring on a different provider strictly due to the lack of consideration from the billing department.

brought my daughter for a routine check and after reading her chart they did a full work up to see if they could help find the underlying cause of some symptoms we were investigating through neurology
my first appointment was very thorough as well
they are all super friendly and extremely caring

I’d go lower than 1 if I could. I went for my annual eye exam. I get one free annual exam through my insurance company. The person that handles coding, whether the doctor or someone in another office decided to code my visit as a “medical” visit which generated a bill. I fought for nearly a year because my three prior eye doctors never gave a bill when I went for an exam, whether given a new prescription or not.
Ultimately, I had to pay because it was going to be sent to collections and UF clowns didn’t change the coding.
Avoid this clinic!

Why did y'all change my appointment time to 11:15 when I was for 12? Show up early and am I waiting 2 1/2 hrs to be seen? No reason I should be waiting almost 3 hr because y'all didn't dilate the eyes when y'all put all the drops in my baby eyes. Got here at 11 it's now 1:30p my daughter is on oxygen and doesn't get many hours. I had other things to do today now I will miss the opportunity to exchange oxygen. This is pathetic

This is very genuinely the worst group of medical professionals I’ve ever dealt with. The absolute worst bedside manner. The clearly expect you to kiss the ground the walk on for gracing you with their presence rather than actually trying to help you. I was basically told they couldn’t help me for a few months, which is what it is, but was told that something urgent to me just “wasn’t urgent” to them. They then sent me to a different department within UF Shands, and just handed me a card with a number on it and told me to make my own appointment instead of referring me over there. I told them that if they want me to go there to get help, they should refer me and call them to help me get an urgent appointment as I am from out of town. They told me “all the residents are busy but they will do it after”. Okay no worries, but when I finally got to the referral place, I was told no one ever called for an appointment for me. When I asked for the address to the place they referred me to, that is WITHIN SHANDS HOSPITAL, they said they didn’t know the address because it was a different department. You’re telling me you can’t just google it? It’s just the complete absolute lack of willingness to help that really gets me. When I told the doctor I didn’t like his tone when talking to me and my mother, he responded “too bad, this is how it is”. I just can’t get over how small and unimportant they made me feel. I ended up going to the wrong building in Shands, being lost for 2 hours because they couldn’t be bothered to make sure I had the correct address and understood where I should go. I have gotten better costumer service at a McDonald’s than I got at this place. Try going somewhere that actually makes you feel heard and like they actually care about your well-being, not this place where they think you should be grateful just to be in their presence. Absolutely disgraceful that this place is a part of Shands, because the neurological center is wonderful.

Every time I have an appt I sit in the office at least 1.5 to 2 hours before being seen by a doctor. They continually book clients during lunch when all the drs leave. They have no reguard for your time.

I want to start by saying my daughter is disabled so I have had my far share of doctors and specialist. This is by far one of the worst. They have canceled my daughters appointment 3 times this year. I just got a call from the same lady that does the scheduling and she decided to be rude like she always is. They also stated I could only be seen on 2 days of the week none of those days work for my family's schedule. Instead of trying to help me find a solution she said call back when you can come in on those days. And hung up the phone. I also hate when they talk down to me like if they keep repeating what they said it's going to change something. I wish i got her name but she most certainly shouldn't be working with patients.

This is the worst clinic I have ever visited. No one answers the phones. If they send you a medication and you get a bad allergy. you have to wait for them to give you a new appointment
