Worst customer service EVER!!!! The general manager stays on the phone with his "girl" more than he helps customers. I rented a van, and they waited till 3 days before my trip to inform me that because my drivers licenses was from a small town 5 miles away, I couldn't rent it. For real... not joking. Then I was supposed to get a trailer hitch installed.... I don't even have the time to tell you about the worst service ever! Drove there 5 times and still didn't get it done. They ordered wrong parts, then told me I had to go to Home Depot to purchase a $50 part or they couldn't do it, then it didn't work anyway! Then didn't want to refund my payment! Small claims court here we go!! I will NEVER go there again, nor will I suggest anyone else. The guy who wrote about a lot of guys standing around not helping is 100% the truth! They are all on their cell phones chatting!

I do not understand all of the negative reviews. I have rented from this location four or five times over the years. Definitely not frequently. But when I've needed something, they've always done a superb job. My most-recent experience took place 6/2 & 6/3. I needed to rent a trailer to haul a motorcycle home from Melbourne (200 miles each way). The pick-up Friday afternoon was smooth and fast. The young lady who served me, both at the counter and in the lot, was awesome. Very friendly and efficient. I returned the trailer Saturday afternoon. There was a young man in the lot who directed me to a drop-off spot. He unhitched the trailer, processed my return, and I was back on the road in less than five minutes without even having to go inside. Here's a bonus: I was an hour or two over 24 hours. I had initially reserved the trailer for three days (until Monday). They only charged me for one day! Wish Enterprise did that. LOL. Top marks for this U-Haul location!

Worst service ever. Watched 8 male employees stand at the desk while a young girl was struggling to carry the boxes she just purchased to her car. They couldn't even open the door for her- just watched, thankfully another customer saw and was there to help- it's a shame these people are getting paid to do this

Both Shabab and Julie were super helpful with getting us the best deal for what we needed. This was the first time that I had ever rented a U-haul so I was very unfamiliar with the process and what the best way to go about it was and they both were extremely patient with us and very knowledgeable about the whole process. I will definitely be using them for any future needs.

Horrible customer service. 7 people standing around and no one could fill a propane tank for over 20 minutes. I was told to ring the bell by two employees only to later be told after waiting 10 minutes that the bell was broken. I continued to wait (no one came) to fill the tank but two employees came to change the bell battery. Finally I requested to speak to the manager who said he wouldn't help until he was done talking to a friend in the office.

Terrible customer service. This location is a Uhaul Corporate location (not a franchise). They could care less about customer service. They took my reservation for the truck, furniture dolly and moving blankets...only had the truck. The employee said "you can drive to another location(s) and see if they have. I said that's ok and went to the franchise location at Economo Mart franchise on 13 St. The owner was very helpful. He actually drove somewhere to get me the furniture dolly while I was ubering over there. Stay away from University Uhaul. Since they are closer to he universitiy they take advantage of that.

I had an appointment at 12p on 4/22. When I showed up for the appointment, the guy was confused and said they had no other appointments for the day. I showed him my email confirmation and he informed me that my appointment was rescheduled for following Friday without ANY contact to me to confirm. He said it was due to the equipment not being there yet. I'm moving across the county in a week and have another appointment to pick up a trailer that I need the hitch for. Now trying to figure out a backup plan because I have no idea if my new appointment will be "rescheduled" without my knowledge

The products and service U-Haul offer are pretty great. They fall down flat on their face in terms of customer service. It is shockingly regular to have to stand at the front counter for 10+ minutes before any employee decides to recognize your existence and then start the process of interacting with you.

I had a appointment a month in advance to get a trailer hitch installed on my truck and even called twice to make sure everything was good with my appointment. I payed half of the cost up front and then today when the time finally came I drove all the way there just for them to tell me they were too busy this time of year and it would be at least another month before I could get it installed. I was never emailed or called ahead of time to be told this, just when I actually got there for the official appointment they told me there was nothing they could do.

Save your money and time! Waited here for an hour for my reservation to be told they don't the trailer... I even checked in on the app before getting in line. I wasted over two hours going to other locations. Just because you have a reservation doesn't mean they will actually have it! Nobody answers any phones not even the uhaul support. I got someone on a live chat and they disconnected their chat from me. Nobody wants to help you and I guarantee you this is not worth the headache. Use another company maybe a small business even if you pay more! This is the worst experience I've ever had. I will never use uhaul again because of the treatment.

The word "reservation" means nothing to these people. Make sure you leave yourself a lot of buffer time if you plan your move with uhaul because you'll need to use that time to re-book trucks and storage units with another company at the last minute. Absolute trash service with no accountability.

So i ordered a reservation to pick up a truck with the 24-7 truck share. They had a 12am-4am truck available and that worked best for me so i drove from tampa to gainesville to be there at 12am. i get there, sign into my app and hit the puck up truck now button only for it to give me a message saying it got switched to physical pick up and to come back at 9 am when the store opens. i call the customer service line, wait about 45 minutes to speak to someone for them to tell me that truck isn't available after hours? then why give that option online? and why send me a confirmation email telling me to be at that location at 12 am. very frustrated. the customer service lady was very nice and switched the times for me but she kinda made it seem like it's a common thing.

So off the bat, they were closing early and we had 10 min to check in instead of an hour and 10. Then the key card didn't work. Then the second key card didn't work. No key cards to get in work anymore. They double booked the storage unit I reserved and I got a unit on the 2nd floor instead of the 1st. Now I am sitting outside a broken gait and can't get in to my unit. Another customer is stuck inside the gait. After 20 min on hold, I'm told I have to wait for a manager. Use literally any other place for your stuff.

If I could post negative stars I would. Uhaul installed a trailer hitch onto our vehicle last month. It took twice as long as they said it would (ok, whatever), but when we picked up the vehicle there was damage to the front of the car in three spots, as if it had bumped into or been bumped into by another car or wall or truck. Uhaul has denied all responsibility, claiming that their cameras show that no one in the hitch bay went near the front of the car, and also saying that they have zero responsibility for whatever their employees might have done while driving it into or out of the hitch bay or while in their parking lot. So not only did we pay them hundreds of dollars for a hitch install, we also now have hundreds of dollars of damage to our car thanks to Uhaul. Never go there again! Also, their employees do not wear face masks in complete violation of local county ordinances.

this place just sucks. Long waits and subpar customer service. Came for a simple pickup and waited 30 minutes to talk to a sales associate and when we finally did they messed up our reservation we made yesterday so it took even longer to fix. Have fun trying to park on the lot there is no space and even when we received the vehicle it was a 10 minute wait to get out of the crowded lot. If you're in a time crunch to move DON'T COME HERE!
