Best climbing gym around. I just wish the membership was more affordable for me.

This place is awesome! You would never know the size of the gym from the outside. They have done a great job utilizing the space. The shear number of routes is mind-blowing.

My wife and I dropped in for a day pass. The staff was amazing their head setter is super fun to talk too. The bouldering is incredible I have never seen so much overhung terrain in a space that small in my life. The top ropes are kind of inconsistent some routes are sandbagged by a whole number grade some are right in the sweet spot. Overall wonderful gym. And the staff the staff are just the shining star of this gym. Will be back!

Friendly staff. We enjoy the different levels and variety of climbing walls. A great place to hang out and exercise with the family and doing something good together. Hubby wants me to give 5 stars. ?

I’m a sucker for local-owned climbing gyms with dimly lit bouldering caves and sandbagged top rope. Feels like home❤️ Places like this make you strong and keep you strong. My only complaint about this place is that even the juggiest of holds was the biggest grease bucket of caked-up chalk, shoe rubber, and grime. Also, whoever handles the graphic design for this place is on their A-game!

Membership price is too expensive, but it's worth it to try out the gym once a month on a guest pass.

Loved this gym! Came down to visit a couple friends who are members, and climbed 2 days strait (something I would normally never do). There is so much variety from the comp wall, slab, cave, top rope, and a tunnel the goes to the upper part. There are even top out sections which is really cool. The routesetting is awesome. Even got my 1st flapper working on a really cool route in the cave because it was amazing and I really wanted to finish it. Definitely would recommend this gym to anyone, and will definitely be back.

Love this gym honestly. the staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Place is kept pretty clean too. I think my only complaint is that they keep getting more new members which is great because I think it's a really fun hobby, however, the gym is only so big, and can only hold 65 people at a time. I have seen a huge increase of new ppl since last year and it does tend to get overly packed where you have to make reservations to climb, if you don't you can expect to wait 30 minutes or longer depending on the day or night. I feel if the gym was made a little bit bigger it would better accommodate all the new comers and long time members at the gym to have the best climbing experience possible.

This climbing gym in fine. Nothing more, nothing less . The facility is small compared to other facilities I have been, but the price for membership is among the priciest. I would have expected a smaller facility would reset their routes more frequently but the Knot does not. They close 20% of their bouldering wall down for individual classes so if you happen to go during that time, tough - you still pay full price for the membership though. There are no package deals like 10 passes or access membership. I guess that is what you should expect if there is only one climbing gym in town. You have to reserve time slots ahead of time because they are not able to accommodate all of their members during busy times. The staff are friendly. Would change to another climbing gym if that was an option. In response to business owner:Thank you very much for your response. When I was there last weekend, I asked the very friendly staff if the far wall was closed as there were cones blocking it off with only a handful of climbers using the wall. The staff member said "Yes, it will reopen at 2:30 PM. They are doing the classes right now", which one would understand as the wall is closed for classes. It is nice to know that now one can utilize the walls even when there are classes going on. Thank you for the information.

Incredible. Come here with my friend all the time. They have rentals, and the entry fee for guests going with an active member is only 10$ including rentals. Great exercise and great fun, never change, The Knot!

Super cool gym! I especially love the comp wall. The only things I think would make it better is lead climbing, and crack climbing.

Our friends took us here on their guest pass. We had so much fun while feeling so secure. We have been here so far three times. We took belay course yesterday so we can participate in rock climbing in mutually beneficial way instead of just climbing and not belaying. The belay class was very helpful and thorough, relaxed but making sure we know exactly what to do to stay safe. They take their job seriously. It is very relaxed there but at the same time it was very well managed like Disney. It is one more gym memeberhsip on our budget but it was totally worth it!!! It's so much fun and a great workout for your body and mind! And there is Luke's bagel right next door and some nice restaurants right across from the gym so it was huge incentive for us to go to the other side of town:) They make it nice and easy and more affordable by offering a membership for $75 on just me and my husband being a guest for free since they allow their members to bring one guest a month and the second time the member to bring a guest would be $10 instead of us both having to sign up for $150 a month. We thought about doing it when we were planning on signing up and it was so nice that they were in sync with the what goes through the potential guest's mind. So, if this is your main gym, that is great but if it's your supplemental gym, it is easier to build into your budget and have fun to bring your friends without having it too stressful:)They also changed the rock formations so frequently that you don't have to go through the same pattern almost never if you go once or twice a month. I think it is great customer service that they change out the patterns but also very good safety practice to check up on the security of the rocks. We saw some family doing this activity together so any age group or activity level can be accommodated since the place is tagged according to the difficulty that will help you choose.Every person working there is very friendly and courteous, energetic, engaging, and good vibes people like you would expect at a surf shop(I am just guessing here since I don't know how to surf) They all seem to genuinely love what they do.They rent you the gear and shoes for free as well! Wowzer!!Definitely a local gem and this place elevates Gainesville as a whole!!!!!

Great routesetting, we thoroughly enjoyed every top rope route we tried. Wall height is at the sweet spot where it challenges you, but doesn't drink all the creative juices from the setter)
