My son went here for a year and we truly enjoyed the experience and staff at this daycare. The staff treated my son like family and the owners are always available for questions. Never once did I worry about my son while he was at daycare. My son came home happy every day. Unfortunately we had to move so we had to switch to a different daycare. I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a daycare in Gainesville.

This is my child’s happy place! All of the teachers know the children well, even if they are not the primary teacher. I appreciate feeling at ease knowing my son is loved and cared for every second he is in their care. He has advanced so much socially and academically since starting here. I would recommend Step by Step to anyone looking for an all-around 5 star experience!

My family has had a 4+ year relationship with Step by Step. One boy has attended from age 3 to Kindergarten (and during school breaks) and we started our youngest at just 3 months old. He is now 3. We love all of the staff and owners of Step by Step. Prices = 5 stars. Cleanliness = 5 stars. Friendliness = 5 stars. Attention to children = 5 stars. If you're looking for a place to treat your child like family, I highly suggest this facility.

Smell like piss in the back room early in morning. My grandson went there was sick and my daughter loss her job she told them she was going to take him out because she couldn't afford it without a job. They talk her in of staying and said they would work with her but they lied. The second week going in they demanded money knowing she didn't have a job. Then when she got a job they told her if she didn't pay up by the end of the week they were taking her to court..they even call me and told me. I think they do this on purposes to ensure money.

Both of our sons attended Step by Step and loved it! At Step by Step they got to grow up from infancy in a warm and caring environment. The teachers and owners truly care for the children - body and mind. The VPK graduation was first class and the official assessment result at Kindergarten was: "definitely ready."The center is very conveniently located, yet safely tucked away from the road in a cul-de-sac. The large, age appropriate playgrounds are another big plus.

I was hesitant because this daycare is significantly less expensive than the others I was considering and I had heard that you "get what you pay for". However, I did research and decided to enroll my son in the newborn room with Mrs. Gale and Mrs. Mylein. So far, I am very pleased! :)

I personally had bad experience with my 8 month old at that time..the second infant room was dirty (carpet) and the lady who was taking care of my daughter (sherrie Gonzalez) let her eat food on the floor ..my daughter was sick very often and in two month I lost 14 days out of my job ..I understand infants get sick but not that many times ..she called me saying that my daughter was sick and have fever .I immediately took her to the dr and she was perfectly fine and had no fever ..so who can explain me that ?? Everytime I picked my daughter at the same time every day ..she was dirty , wearing other kids clothes , and her face was not been clean for a while...I have more stories about this place but just makes me mad and sad knowing my baby was not taking care at this place ..good luck

Step by Step Learning Center has exceeded my high expectations by far. I visited about 3 daycare centers before I decided that step by step was the right place. I chose this daycare because it was secure and when I toured the building it was nestled in a discreet location, in one building (that looks more like a home) with plenty of playground space for the kids. Each classroom had its own playground for the children which ensured the safety of each child based on their age. I visited the 1 year old room and they were all so well adjusted and orderly. Since attending, my 1 year old has blossomed into a talkative and articulate 2 year old. His teachers attend to my 2 year old as if he was the only child they were caring for and focus on areas that he is most enthused about in order to facilitate his development and learning. He comes home and tells me about his classmates and even asks about his teachers. His teachers are very professional and attentive to my son's needs and to my needs as his parent. They are very careful about following his diet as I ask. For instance, I made a special request for my son not to be given juice and to be offered more fresh fruit and they do exactly this. They also have stimulating activities that my son is excited about. I get the feeling that this is not just a daycare business but a family friendly institution. The owners are always concerned about the parents and children and do all they can to make the experience a pleasant one. For the quality of care they offer, the price is very reasonable. At first, I wondered whether there was a catch based on the reasonable price, but I did not find a catch. What I saw is what I got, a great, safe and secure environment for my child, attentive and caring teachers and overall great service from the owners. I would recommend this school in a heartbeat!
