I have stayed at this hotel several times, sometimes for several weeks traveling for work, and I have never had any problems. The staff are amazing and they do not allow any nonsense at this hotel. I have stayed at a lot of the more expensive hotels in the area and they have the thinnest walls and the worst service - Red Roof Plus is exemplary. Is it a 5-star hotel? No. It's not meant to be. But the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the wi-fi works well, and I can access my work network with no problems. I would highly recommend staying here. It's close to Butler Plaza, all the restaurants you could want, a Target is right across the way as well as a Publix. This is my go-to hotel when I am in Gainesville.Rooms: The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the linens are soft, the pillows are good, the towels are soft. I have stayed at other hotels in the area that a much more expensive and way less clean than the Red Roof Plus. The only time you hear other guests are when they are working at making noise - and all you have to do is call the front desk and the noise stops.Nearby activities: This hotel is close to the interstate, close to UF, close to Butler Plaza - close to about anything you could want in Gainesville.Walkability: There is a Target in the shopping center across the street along with various shops and a Publix. There are several fast food restaurants also within walking distance.

The mattress was comfortable, the sheets soft and clean, the pillows plush. The water pressure and heat in the shower was excellent. The only negatives were the quality of the soap (which is never dove in a hotel) and the flooring (which was fine for the price), but everything was clean and excellent for the price.Rooms: Clean and soft even in the non-upgraded rooms.

Stopped by overnight for a quick night stay, beds were comfortable, great location and my pet was able to stay for free ! They don’t offer breakfast in the morning. however, coffee was more than enough! morning gentlemen made the checkout process smooth and easy.

Ali checked us in after midnight and was extremely pleasant and accommodating considering the late hour. Well lit, clean, recently remodeled. Nice for Red Roof and better than the competition.

This is a comedically bad hotel and I mean that in the most kind way possible. There is nothing unsafe or dangerous about it and it is perfectly good if you're on a budget. But it was like being John Candy or Steve Martin in a movie from the 80's where nothing can go quite right. The staff are amazing--so friendly and helpful, but the hotel itself is worn and grimy. The first room they put me in had a window that didn't close. The second room had a heating/cooling unit that just blew cold air no matter what button I pressed. The third room was one of their "upgraded" rooms, but other than a few extra pillows and some vending machine snacks, I couldn't tell the difference between this room and the others. The floors were filthy--they're laminate and had maybe been swept, but not mopped, recently. But the sheets were clean. The shower had two settings that are best described as "chaotic mist" and "vintage uzi", but the water was hot. The fridge froze my food and the coffee maker leaked all over the place.Still, it was certainly more comfortable than sleeping in my car, so would recommend if those are your choices.
