I’m incredibly picky nail person. My length has to be specific my shape has to be just right and it’s really hard to find someone after I’ve been going to somebody for 56 years. I have tried a lot of nail salons in Gainesville. I haven’t liked anybody. I stumbled across ms. Lani’s instagram. Her work was stunning beautiful and honestly the best I’ve seen in awhile, I’m glad I was able to make a sudden appointment and I went in I showed her nails I liked for ideas. She did exactly what I wanted to the T! She did the shape perfect the length perfect. The designs on my nails are gorgeous. I would take photos now but I’m a little late on this review. Please forgive me, but I will do photos on my next visit, they’re all really nice and take care of you it’s a great place to go!

I came out of town for memorial day, and decided to come to Lux to get my nails done. It was the closest nail salon to the area I was staying at. As I proceeded to get my nails refilled the man doing my nails ignored me on multiple occasions while I asked him questions. He was very rough with my nails. Told me one price for my nails and it ended up being a different price, after everything was done. The employees in that shop are very rude and do not have people skills. I neverrrrr ever do reviews ever, but I felt like I needed to say my peace. I also work in a customer service field and I understand the importance of being respectful and understanding the customer concerns which the employee at LUX in Gainesville FL did not.

My friend and I needed to get full sets for a wedding and the salon we originally booked was running late and wouldn't finish us before closing time. We frantically started calling around on a Saturday night to find any salon that would take us! Not only did John and Lani stay late to help us, but also did the best nails I've ever had in my life! Over a month after the wedding the tip & dip was still going strong. I come back to this salon every time I'm in town because they are so amazing.

This place was not very welcoming, I walked in and told them I wanted to do Gel-X and they told to sit at a certain station. I changed my mind and just wanted a full set instead and they told me to come back at 6pm in a very rude way (it was 3pm when I walked in).
