Home2 Suites by Hilton Gainesville Medical Center is a great hotel with a very good location, offering great value for the price. It is less than five minutes from Shands Hospital and close to shopping, restaurants, and other amenities, with easy bus access. The rooms are very roomy, comfortable, and sufficiently clean, featuring a kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, plates, and silverware, though some utensils were noted as dirty or rusty. Hot plates are available upon request. The staff is consistently described as incredible, very kind, friendly, helpful, courteous, and professional, providing excellent service. A free daily breakfast is served with a nice selection of items like sandwiches, eggs, waffles, and breakfast bowls, though options aren't many and items sometimes run out. The stay is often quiet and affordable, though the walls do not block noise very well. Other minor notes include the lack of in-room personal safes, cleaning service once every two days, no guest computers or color printing, and parking spaces that could be wider. Overall, it is a highly recommended place to stay.
Stayed here due to close proximity to Shands Hospital. Everything was great except when I tried to do some work…1) they don’t have computers to use and they do not do color prints (only black and white). I just needed 1 page printed.

Virtually no hot water in the shower. Nice hotel, I would recommend, 😞 on the cool shower

This is one of THE BEST stays I have had in a long time! It was affordable, clean, SUPER quiet, and in a really nice area close to everything. The staff was so professional and wasted no time checking us in and out. We will stay here again and recommend others do as well.
