Jamie is the best hair dresser in Gainesville. She always listens and then gives her opinion. She is creative with cuts and color. I look 100% better when I leave the salon. I highly recommend her!

Geraldine is the BEST colorist in town. Moved to Gainesville a number of years ago and finally found someone who gives beautiful color every time. Also, Geraldine gives a fabulous haircut as well. Looks great and you don't have to wait for it to grow in to get to that perfect length that you love. Highly recommend and I am picky!!!!

I met Jamie after finding her on groupon and have been going to see her ever since (3 years now). It has been nothing short of good conversation and perfect haircuts/coloring/hairstyles. She is very skilled at her craft and knows exactly how to help you choose a style/color that will look the most flattering on you! She is best to get a hold of by text and if you knew how busy she was with clients and family you would understand why she isn't always able to return phone calls quickly.

Jamie Taylor was very nice and professional when she did my full highlights last weekend (used a groupon). It was difficult to get a hold of her, but texting seemed to work best. She didn't charge me any extra fees (hair just past my shoulders). She knew what to do to get the best results for my hair and did it efficiently. She's a great stylist in my opinion!

I like how Jamie listens to my idea and make it come true! She's a nice person, very punctual for appointment. I like the conversation we have as well. She's fun and she has a personality. (I guess that could be the reason for negative reviews here?!) Anyways, I like Jamie as my stylist so I'm posting this to let all see. :)

Jamie Taylor is probably one of the RUDEST stylists in Gainesville. I came in as a new client, and from the start her customer service and professionalism was terrible. I bought a Groupon and was excited to try a new stylist. I called everyday for two weeks and she never answered... I left messages/ texts everyday and still nothing. Finally several weeks later I finally get a hold of her and she gives me an appointment for almost a month later. As you can imagine, I was looking forward to my appointment after waiting so long, but what I experienced was nothing but rudeness and an awful attitude from a bitter woman dressed as if she just rolled out of bed. I came in cheerful and excited and I didn't even get a smile or a hello. Just a "Put you bag there and sit here." I was already thrown off by her unwelcoming attitude. Then she takes one look at my hair (Still no "hello" "nice to meet you" ...nothing." ) and in a mean tone says "I can't do your hair unless you pay me $30 dollars extra." I was pretty shocked because the Groupon I bought for $39, was advertised as a full service Single Process Color and Haircut. There was no notice of potential extra fees or starting prices, and definitely not having to pay almost double the price from hidden extra fees. When I asked her why, she was very blunt and rude, shrugging her shoulders and with an awful attitude and exclaiming that I have "too much hair". I do have long hair (a little above mid back), but it's definitely not deserving of such a ridiculous unadvertised fee." When I told her I didn't understand because it was never advertised with potential extra frees, and I was not expecting that, she just continued to be rude. Exclaiming I could either pay or leave. Obviously I left. Honestly I would have been fine paying the unjustified extra fee if treated better. But there was no way I was going to sit there and support a woman who should NOT be in the service industry. I would rather pay full price at a much nicer salon, than stay and be treated like trash at a mediocre salon. If you value customer service and like being treated like a valued client, then I recommend you STAY AWAY from Jamie Taylor. Her cheap groupon prices may be tempting, but it's all false advertising, and what you get is nothing but hidden fees and shockingly horrible customer service.

The women are horrendous there: not professional, angry, a bit rude from the 1st interaction (I'm not the only one who thinks this.) They rip people off because they think they know better than other stylists. Jamie does Groupon's because her hair color in-ability messes up your hair, so BEWARE. She overcharged a friend, didn't do the job, then threatened my friend with calling the cops even though my friend never yelled at her or said rude things to her!! They have no class there and it shows. You may pay less and get better results by going elsewhere!

SHE'D CALL THE POLICE!!??? REALLY? You're going to love this. I recently went in to see Jamie and paid her $200 CASH UP FRONT to turn my previously colored hair to a nice caramel blonde, which I had been for the previous two years. I sent her many pictures of my roots explaining my hair takes nicely to color but please don't make my roots strawberry red (or orangey). She said she could do it and then put a Pravana conditioning treatment for around $200. On the 1st attempt, I walked out completely DARK BRUNETTE with awful highlights that we had to tone down, I went back to do a test strip a few weeks later. The strip showed my hair was orange near the roots but the bottom part of the strands were fine, exactly what I had already explained. For the 2nd attempt, she did my whole head, ignored what I said & guess what?? Screaming orange roots! Not to mention a couple patches near my face that she missed applying color, so I looked spotted! She offered me $50 back but I felt bad at the time & said we would work to fix it. A couple days later, I decided it wasn't worth it so I told her I would take her up on her offer. She blasted my cell phone with texts saying the offer was no longer available & if I show up at the salon, she was going to call the police. I have all the before & after pictures and her text messages. Send me your email, and I will show the proof. Went to 6th Street Station to have it fixed, now my hair looks amazing!!
