*Important cancellation info: In your contract it will state that you can cancel your membership if you move outside of 25 mi, which I had done. What they don't tell you is that they will charge you $50 to cancel. Essentially a two month membership fee just to cancel...? How does that make any sense lol - price gougers. The equipment is old and the place smells terrible 24/7 btw

My husband and I signed up for this gym about 1.5yrs ago..Kinda a slimey contract. Make sure you take it home and review it before signing. Most gyms now don't do the contract thing...infact- I cant think of any other gym who still does it the way Bailey's does except Anytime Fitness..I signed up mainly for the classes. The classes were very very bad. For some reason Gainesville has a shortage of personal trainers. From my experiences Gainesvillle, all gyms have issues finding personal trainers for their classes. I went to a total of 6 classes at Baileys and the classes were so unorganized and thoughtless I couldn't go back anymore. Even number 5 & 6 were a struggle for me but I really believe in giving them a fair chance. The trainers would show up 5mins before class, not have music picked out or ready, not bother to ask names or goals and it was VERY VERY VERY CLEAR they had absolutely ZERO idea on what the group would do next. Sometimes the name of the class would NOT MATCH what we were doing in class at all... idek if that trainer knew what he was teaching or just came to work clueless lol. In one class, rather than doing stations they just had one person do the activity at a time and the rest of us waited in line like in gym class- lol. It was awful. I only experienced 2 trainers (maybe 3?) bc honestly that's all they had. THEN- once ppl stopped showing up to their AWFUL classes they started doing this ONLINE ONLY classes (Before COVID). This was even worse (actually no it wasn't but it was annoying) bc I paid a membership for in person classes. If I wanted online classes then I'd pay MUCH LESS and YouTube it or something. They first make you sign a ridiculous contract and then don't hold up on their end..We also paid to have the room on the top floor. However, the lights sometimes wouldn't work and a lot of times the tv would be set on an input I couldn't figure out. While Baileys is open 24/7- they're not staffed 24/7... on two occasions when I wanted to work out with one of the online trainers- the tv wouldn't work and the "front desk" person was like "idk lady, I just clean things".This is also a no frills gym. Ppl r there to work out not like a crunch or planet fitness. Ppl here r serious about muscle gain and are ripped. My husband is a gym guy and he liked Baileys every now and then but bc it was a serious place- it was always packed and was had to wait A LOT or share a machine. This is at 11am on a Tuesday he's waiting to squat. I think this is mostly bc of the students not having regular schedules but then He went around 5pm once and literally walked out bc it was soooo crowded. Once summer hits it clears out a little but 5-6 is crowded.Overall not a great experience. We finished our contract and got out of it no problem. But I wouldn't recommend it.

This is the BEST facility that I have ever been apart of. Excellent equipment, locker rooms, tanning, and management. Every employee that has helped me has been overly kind to me, EXCEPT for the short girl with black hair, I think her name is Lidia. She was rude and very short with me. She seemed like she wasn't really doing her job and was avoiding helping him other members. That leaves an impression on me. Everything and everyone else was exceptional.

This gym has an extraordinary aggressive type of business that doesn't allow you to quite your membership unless you pay some to quite. Very disappointed.

Like most of the other negative reviews mine is due to the contract (scam) they make you agree to when joining. When I joined I knew that I might not be able to fulfill the full term of the contract because I had applied to a job that might require relocation. I specifically brought this up when I signed up and was assured that it would not be a problem and that I could cancel the contract if I moved. When I wound up moving, however, Bailey's would live up to their word or the contract term that allows you to cancel the contract if you move outside of Bailey's service area. Instead of doing the morally and legally right thing, Bailey's listed this as a "collections account" on my credit report, which caused a major problem because I was in the middle of getting approved for financing the new house I was buying due to my relocation. I tried to get this resolved directly through Baileys and got the run around. I also tried to get this resolved with their collections company, but when I explained the problem to the collections company they didn't care. In fact, they started harassing me with phone calls with threats to extort money from me by threatening that they would hold up my mortgage approval until I paid them. I ended up getting approved despite their antics, but what they did was flat out wrong. Immoral! Unscrupulous! Crooks! Beware of signing anything with this gym. There are alternatives that are out there that would be a better option. If I had it to do all over again I would have made a different decision.

Been a member here now for 3 yrs and have been nothing but a happy customer. This gym is super clean including the restrooms. The staff and the manager Warren are responsive and professional at all times. Equipment is generally well maintained and up to date with fitness trends. The membership costs are fair and reflect the median prices in comparison with other gyms in the area. This gym at times does get a little crowded but the ample floor space and multiple machines for each muscle group helps. Also protein smoothies are available for pre and post workout albeit a little expensive they use quality ingredients. Overall this gym is a great place to stay in shape!

Great gym to visit. Plenty of space and room. I like the variety of weights. There's no super strict dress code or intimidation rules. Just a normal functioning gym which is a very good thing.
