Every drop off experience I’ve had is always fast and efficient. Today I needed help packing and shipping a return and they were extremely helpful and ended up shipping my return cheaper and faster than what USPS offered.

Yesterday I discovered FedEx isn’t any better than US Postal.
I decided to use them instead of the PO since they have been notorious for losing mail or not delivering it when it was expected to be delivered. In addition to longer than necessary delivery times.
I have only used FedEx sparingly in the past and have been more of a recipient and doing a turnaround to send back. I was also charged a higher rate and given no options that I clearly didn’t know about but that’s another issue.
I discovered something called “one rate” that I was told by the FedEx store that I could use, but I would have to do it myself by creating an account going online to the website and creating the return label.
That’s all well fine and NOT good, because it doesn’t work, even though FedEx manager emphasized it should work and maybe the system was down when I tried to use it - excuses always excuses blame the system that’s created by humans.
I pulled my wife into the madness as she uses FedEx at her work place all the time.
No matter what we did, whether it was one of the two options, first one being “create shipment” that has the “one rate” option available for outbound and a checkbox to go to the next screen to create the return that does not display the “one rate”’option, or use the other drop-down option to just “create a return shipment” that still does not display the “one rate” option.
We also tried using the option to just “create a shipment” that would be an outbound, but instead of putting my address as the FROM and my recipient as the send TO, we switched the addresses so that my recipient would be the FROM and I would be the send TO. Of course it allows you to put in any address for the FROM and send TO. The problem is that even though it allowed us to enter these in reverse, the “one rate” option still cannot be used because it’s based on a DATE of delivery unlike other types of shipping that will just say Monday through Friday and still do a FedEx 2 day. There’s no date that’s locked in and that’s the problem.
Had I created the label as I described above I have no idea when the recipient would actually return the documents, which means that the label could then expire and I would have wasted my money.
The store also says that you have to have an account to do all of this and that they can’t do it in the store and I don’t think anyone in the store has actually done it themselves. They are just telling people that this can be done and it clearly cannot be done. I called customer service and talk to two individuals, and they are just as clueless.
The one star rating goes to the fact that FedEx themselves does not allow one rate for return shipping, and that the employees are telling people that this can be done when it clearly cannot be done. I’ve searched the Internet for other instances of this and found at least three other people, who encountered the same thing wanting to use one rate for return shipping and could not .

Just have to give a shout out the this place. They helped me get some prints done after they'd had a printer problem. Soon as they had it fixed they got back to work in time for a display of my 80lb card prints at the GFAA. I got an award, thanks in part to them.

Thursday morning, Whoever was working the counter (Actually there was one guy working, an older gentleman (40 plus), who obviously doesn't observe the simplest courtesies & most definitely doesn't understand the concept of being polite to a customer. He made me feel as if I were something that he wanted to scrap off the bottom of his shoe.

I had to mail some expensive and oddly shaped equipment for work and the whole thing was very overwhelming to me. I only saw one employee working and I didn’t want to take up all his time, but when I went up to the counter like, “I dunno, I guess I need to buy a box or something?” he very kindly took over. He asked me what I was trying to do and told me the best way to do it. He was very patient with me even though I was a total mess. He made the entire thing super easy. His name was Tim. That was my only experience with that store, but if all the employees are like Tim, I highly recommend it!

By far the best FedEx I’ve ever done business with. The gentlemen here made it super easy, even cracked a few jokes and helped me load over 24. Heavy boxes in my truck.
