****STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE**** WORST RENTAL CAR PLACE IN TOWN. THEY ARE NOTHING BUT THEIVES.
Zero stars. I returned a car with a full tank of gas. I told them at return and the girl said "ok, can we email you a receipt ?" ... and then they charged me $150 for gas. Absolutely DEPLORABLE SERVICE. This place is an absolute scam. Do not rent from them. It's a shame because they had a good base price. Turns out they are nothing but a scam. STAY AWAY FROM DOLLAR CAR RENTAL.

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! Dollar soaked me with $1000 drop-off fee when I was forced to drive home from ATL to Orlando. I spent over 45 minutes on hold to advise them and never got thru. Then, they said that I never advised them of the change. Do NOT rent from this company.

I reserved an SUV on Friday night. The pick up was for Sunday on Christmas Eve so I was prepared for a long line and wait. I got there before the pick up time. After a very short line and wait, my SUV was upgraded for no charge, and ready before pick up time. It was a very clean and nice 2023 model. The service lady was very nice. This was the best car rental experience I’ve ever had.

Not pleased at all with my services with dollar rental it was my first time doing business with them and the car I reserved was givin to me needing a maintenance done and after returning my car they charged my card $500 without my consent and excepted me to be ok with my money being returned 5-7 buisness days without my consent worst experience ever highly doubt if I ever rent from them again!!!!

Heartless company with poor service and no consideration for personal circumstances. They also plan poorly as they did not have the vehicle I requested several days I'm advance. Thanks to this company I will not be able to make it to my aunt's funeral and have to cancel my hotel reservations last minute. Because I'm not taking a flight and because I don't have an unnecessary high limit credit card in my name. Do NOT go to them if you're needing a rental for something serious and important.

I just came to Jacksonville from Germany, I’m in the U.S. Army; and picked up my rental, but the next day I had to exchange it because of an issue that I noticed when I sat down in the car, but I had such a long flight and wanted to get where I was going. Next day I called Dollar customer service and they told me to go to Gainesville Regional Airport and stopped by General Rental to exchange the vehicle and Jaylin took care of me and she was very professional and had an awesome attitude. Thanx so much. I give her a 5 Stars for her customer service.

My rental was already paid for. The teller convinced me to get a $54 Toll pass that I never used. There are no Tolls where I was: Orlando, Tampa, and Gainsville. He also convinced me to not use my USAA car insurance and get there's for $40 a day. That doubled the original price.

Picking up the car: The attendant was efficient to be alone on the job but had the customer service skills of a prune. -1During the rental: The Ford fiesta's alarm went off numerous times randomly in the middle of the night. -1Returning the rental: I stood on line for 24 minutes before finally getting to the front of the line and putting keys in the attendant's hand. -.50After the rental: my emailed receipt showed an additional charge for $15.83 for an extra hour I never use. -1Sat on hold for over 20+ minutes before speaking with the company to fix my bill. -50⭐

Dollar Rental had no service and deferred their rentals to Hertz in Providence RI. The cost was ridiculously high as were the fees and the fact that Hertz was charging additional fee to handle the rental. I will no long be renting, but will choose to hire drivers who are local. With plenty of money to spend and frequency of travel I will no longer be renting cars. Just hoping someone will read this and consider changing your policies in the future. Many others are choosing the driver rather than the rental. You may be sinking your own ships. I nearly forgot to add that the car we were given was stinking of stale smoke. We tried everything to air the car and purchased deodorizer to no avail. Ridiculous.

First time using Dollar Car Rental and now I see why they have bad reviews. Made a reservation for 3:30 pm. Nobody was at the desk until 3:50. At 4:00 I was told it would be 15-20 minutes for the car to be ready. Never again will I use them.

Not a bad choice when it comes to renting a car. Even with a reservation ahead of time, picking up the car took longer than I would have expected or hoped. Call ahead to make your reservation and you can get better deals.

I always choose Dollar when I want to rent. They are affordable, they give me my military discount, cars are always clean and I always have choice of newer, nice looking cars! Ive rented from them the last few times and have not been disappointed at all! Im very picky with what Id like to drive, and each time, Dollar had something real sporty/sexy/new/affordable for me! And when the other rental places couldn't deliver, Dollar had me in and out in minutes! Oh, and the staff are nice too! If no one is at the desk, its probably because they're taking special care of the cars to put customers in! Thank you Dollar! Yall always come through!

If the option for ZERO stars was available I'd definitely give that to this company. Nothing good to say but they take and take unnecessary amounts of money from our acct, and never give us a good reason why. Had us wait A MONTH for our deposit and still no explanation why. Everytime i call customer service they hang up after and hour hold. I am never ever renting from this damn car place again.
