Great Poodle ‘doo’! I took my poodle - coincidentally also named Charlie - in for a long overdue grooming, only to find he had bunches of mats throughout his fur?who knew you had to brush them if you kept their hair long?! My bad, I guess it’s obvious…anyway, the groomer did a great job of leaving a nice, albeit short, amount of fur, which she feared she may not have been able to do. Oh, and she was awesome at explaining what this was all about and being patient with my nervous pup.Bottom line? Above average $ for an above average grooming experience for all.

Sarah groomed my Pomeranian, Amos. Our previous groomer, Candace, had moved but told me Sarah or Laura would do a great job. Sarah didn’t disappoint!

Misty is absolutely the best groomer, especially for dogs who are nervous. She is always very patient, kind and goes beyond for an excellent grooming experience. I cannot recommend her enough.

I actually genuinely liked both girls that took care of my babies. They took their time. I could tell they were caring and gentle and cared what I wanted. I thought the prices were reasonable. The little boutique was cute. We will be back.

I am so glad I found Mistie at Charlie’s Place. My dog is very difficult to deal with. Mistie hasn’t given up on Cooper and I can’t thank her enough for her patience. She’s an angel ??

Favorite groomer in Gainesville! It's a little pricey but I like that the dogs are kept in more open spaces rather than crates/kennels. There were a few times we had miscommunication with appointment times and calling the wrong dog owner, but I still enjoy their service.

Always welcoming & friendly! Caring groomers & staff. Clean, no cages. My hyper anxious & reactive dog doesn't panic, which is saying a lot!We love our Laura!

Charlie’s Place Pet Spa and Boutique is theeee best groomer in Gainesville, hands down! They are very accommodating as to appointments, and the people who work there are the cream of the crop. My furbaby loves her “stylist” Mistie, and Mistie loves her too. Give Charlie’s Place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

We could not say more good things about Charlie's Place! The staff are incredible and go above and beyond! They really care about the animals that are left in their care. Chia is a 17 year old Maltese and just loves her friends at Charlie's Place. Mistie has been grooming Chia for almost a decade now and we wouldn't go anywhere else!

Charlie's Place is very friendly, accommodating, and open to requests. My dog loves going there and she comes away with a great look and a bounce in her step. Over the years I've also seen other fantastic looking treatments much more involved than my little dog requires.

The bath & brush was satisfying. However, I am a first time husky owner & currently on crutches. Many huskies are wild and don’t like baths but because I am out of commission I needed to pay a groomer to help me out. Besides the bath, my biggest concern was the hair growing out of his paw pads and his long nails. It was my 8 month old puppy’s first time at a groomer so I can imagine he wasn’t the easiest client. However, Charlie’s charged me a hefty “handling” fee because he was difficult. After paying they informed us that they did not complete the job, no paws were shaved, and they were only able to cut some nails on only the front two paws. I don’t understand how you can charge me for the uncompleted service and a handling fee. I called to ask about this and was basically told “your loss”. The groomer, Mitsy, said “sorry about that” with a huge amount of attitude. I was given no refund and now have to seek out another groomer who will complete the job. Charlie’s is incapable and will still charge you for their failure. Not to mention, I paid over $100 for his grooming and tipped. I will never go back.

Extremely rude. My dog’s groomer, Jenn, said she would not groom my dog again unless he was on drugs. I was shocked when those were the first words out of her mouth as she handed my furbaby back to me. She complained that he peed (as if she wasn’t aware of this normal dog function) not knowing that my dog has had four bladder surgeries and now eats prescription food to increase his urine. No one wants to hear a groomer whine and whine and whine some more about everything they found to be difficult. Either you have the professional skills to deal with different types of dogs and how they react to your services, or you don’t. There was obviously something about this establishment that my dog found unsettling, because he has never had this many issues with a groomer. To top everything off, I wasn't even happy with the haircut my dog received, and my simple instructions were completely disregarded. We will gladly go somewhere else where he can be treated with dignity and patience and where employees exhibit some level of professionalism.
