This place was a life saver! My cat was sick and throwing up, and I was tired and stressed after the previous vet visit earlier that day. They were so kind and patient with me both over the phone and in person. They also made sure to let me know what was going on every step of the way. My cat is feeling much better now and so am I. Will 100% be going back there for future emergencies.

I can’t remember the lady who helped me today but she was great. They were not busy so they took care of my dog as soon as I got there. Great stuff

They kept my dog from being dead on a rainy Sunday morning. Polite staff, knowledgeable doctors. It’s pricey, but that’s emergency service! It’s exactly what you need when you need it

I brought my dog to this location after my vet recommended he need emergency care. I believe the receptionist I spoke with was Jenna. She was very kind and calm considering my visit was late during their night shift. Zoey was our technician who was also extremely sweet with our sick fur baby and took all the time needed to go over symptoms and behavior with us. We saw Dr. Diagle who went above and beyond in walking us through each and every choice we had to make and options we had to consider. Each member of the staff were gentle and patient not only with our dog but with us as well. ( Emergency vet visits are always stressful ). We appreciate all of their help and would recommend to anyone!

Dr Vansickle was not only smart as a whip but she was so kind. Everyone in that office goes above and beyond. Shands used to be my emergency vet but from now on will always be Blue Pearl

We had to bring Archy in for a hurt leg, and she’s not a great patient. The entire team at the hospital was so accommodating and kind to both Archy and us - truly going out of their way to connect with Archy and met her on her terms - speaks volumes to the level of care and compassion they have. Dr. Molstad and Michelle were so kind, patient and knowledgeable. Archy even tried to give kisses! I’m very thankful to have such wonderful colleagues and caregivers. ❤️?

I took my dog Buddy to Blue Pearl on Sunday. He wasn’t able to keep food down because of coughing constantly. We walked in and everyone there was kind, professional, caring and they treated Buddy like he was their dog. Buddy actually let them hold him and pick him up. ( he doesn’t let very many people do that) . Like the old saying if my dogs don’t trust them, I don’t either . Buddy liked them and so did I . Also after they gave us what we needed , the next day they called and asked how he was doing. I was happy to report he was doing great. They did an excellent job. Thank you for taking such good care of him!

I took my senior cat to BluePearl after an initial trip to UrgentVet for lethargy. I was a complete wreck thinking I was going to have to say goodbye to her, and I cannot speak highly enough of the support staff here. I was too distraught to remember to record their names, but both were extremely kind and patient with me and provided detailed cost breakdowns before administering treatments. I thought their prices were very fair, especially in comparison with UrgentVet who is an urgent care and not equipped to provide several of the services the BluePearl ER does. They were also helpful over the phone with checking me in beforehand so that she could be seen sooner, and great at explaining how to administer medications. There was no one else at the ER at the time of her initial visit, but she was seen very quickly.
Our vet was also very kind and communicated well with us about costs as well as took time to answer several of our questions. I deducted stars because in hindsight it seems to me that a pretty significant potential diagnosis was not mentioned or considered in treatment recommendations.
Explanation: I had to take my cat back to another ER a few days later because she was worsening and they found fluid surrounding her heart, lungs, and abdomen. She was diagnosed with congestive heart failure (CHF) and recommended euthanasia due to severity. Looking back, she was likely in CHF at the time of our visit (weight gain from 5.4 to 5.9lb from UrgentVet to BluePearl despite not eating) and I can't help but wonder if things might have been different if we'd caught it here instead.
I reported her medical history to the vet: a current UTI, Stage 2 CKD, and a previously noted Stage 1 heart murmur. He was very good about outlining only services he thought were most pressing and recommended a kidney panel. He said her kidney values looked better than expected for her state, she had depleted electrolytes, elevated blood sugar, and was a bit anemic. High blood sugar was attributed to stress. I did decline overnight care due to cost concerns, but it was only after he indicated this was not very strongly recommended over taking her home for care. He did evaluate for a murmur and did not hear one, but otherwise heart issues as a potential culprit were not brought up to us as a possibility at all. I feel like we at least should have been strongly advised to monitor breathing/look out for edema specifically given her history. I think imaging should have also been strongly recommended, especially after her kidney values were a little suspect for a plain kidney crash.
She was also prescribed Elura despite her elevated blood glucose (which I now know itself can cause increases in glucose) and 150ml subcutaneous fluid twice a day (which I later learned from another vet is a lot). I know it's a delicate balance between treating the heart and kidneys because treatments for one often worsen the other. I cannot speak to this because I am not a vet, I would again just wish we would have been better advised about the risks given her murmur and can’t help but wonder if her history was adequately taken into account.
I will be fair: 1) I know the vet was doing his best and it’s just not possible to rule every potential condition out, especially on a budget; 2) I'm not sure how hard it is to diagnose CHF, though from what I’ve read it’s not uncommon in elderly CKD cats; 3) I got three more days with her and the recommended B12 shot did make her feel a bit better for one; 4) I cannot tell if my grief is causing me to be unfair and I just want someone to blame. But I figured I’d report my experience at the very least so other cat owners can be more informed and advocate for their pet better than I did (I did a lot of reading about it after, but at the time knew nothing about anything so didn’t ask any of these questions). 5) I know I might have had to say goodbye to her anyways, but I can never be sure. At the least, I wish I would have

So glad I came here!! My 7 yr old pitbull was sick with open pyometra. I was a bit nervous to take her in anywhere because of the stigma behind pit bulls. I didnt want her to be judge because of her breed and i wasnt sure how she would react being her first time around anyone other than people she has seen her whole life. But they we're so nice and welcoming and professional! My Angel girl absolutely loved them so much that she went from being the most lethargic dog I've seen to not sick at all ??♀️I unfortunately wasn't able to afford the surgery my girl needed but the Dr was so kind that she actually called another facility that would do the procedure at a price I could afford! I was so scared thinking I would have to make the hard decision to put my baby down so she wasn't in pain or sick bc I just simply couldn't afford it along with my own health problems. I'm SO glad I took that hour drive to this hospital? It truly was a blessing and my baby is doing GREAT today! 24 hours after surgery and looking great with MANY years ahead of her. If I ever have another pet emergency this is definitely where I'll be going❤️ YOU GUYS ROCK!
